A decent and comfortable option, with lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Staff was very nice and accommodating.
This place saved my vacation. I had planned a last minute vacation to Marthas Vineyard, but the island was booked and overpriced. The Falmouth inn is just a 5 minute walk to the island queen ferry so I was able to commute to the island easily. Ive stayed in many kinds of hotels and motels and this one is by far one of the best considering its price. Very clean, modern, basic amenities nice clean bathroom and friendly staff.
Average to under-average hotel. Choose if your budget cannot afford anything better.
I gotta say we were pleasantly surprised. Rooms were clean, not the most attractive, but, everything worked, nothing was rusty or super old looking. Bar/restaurant was decent, pool was basic. I guess my expectations were so low already that everything they did was going to shine anyway!
Would give a five star if there was an exhaust fan in the bathrooms. Overall, place is beautiful to stay at. All newly renovated rooms and buildings. Pool was clean. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. If your looking for a nice clean place to stay, I would definitely stay here again on vacation.
Really enjoyed my stay here. Excellent customer service. Had some rowdy late night neighbors and the girl running the front desk put a stop to it immediately. Recently renovated and extremely clean. Would definitely stay here again.
Not happy about the cleanness of the room. The first room given to us had strong smoke smell even when it was smoke-free room. The second room given to us had dirty bathroom wall with huge lock of hair hanging and very visible. Obviously the cleanness of the rooms right now is not the best. The receptionists were very nice and helpful.Breakfast was not provided. Canceled due to covid.
No one was standing at the front desk when we arrived, you have to call a number for someone to come. There’s also a white stain on the curtain. The room itself is pretty nice, there a couple small stains on the carpet and the bathroom smells a little off, but otherwise nice.
I haven’t been here since the 80s but me and my family always stayed here when we’d come to the Cape for the weekend. Although it’s been a long time I have great memories of this hotel. Looked at the recent pics and glad to see it hasn’t changed much! I remember one time we stayed during the fall and from our room we watched a football game from the nearby field
Nice place, good location, close to all the beaches. A little cheap with the towels when you have a suite with a lot of people. Other than that, it was a pleasant experience.
The location was convenient to us, close to the ferry. The room was smelling good, and the hotel was overall quiet which was awesome. However, we asked for a rolling bed, but couldn’t use it because the sheets had huge stains on them. I also noticed a stain on the bed I ended up sleeping on. Better curtains are needed to block the sun, I couldn’t sleep because of that. There was also no breakfast as advertised. I’m assuming it was due to COVID-19, but there should’ve been some sort of announcement on the website. One of the small pools was out of service which was a bummer since I was looking forward to it.
Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Room was nice. My only real disappointment was that the toilet had pee down the front of the toilet and the towel had stains on them. But our stay was pleasant.
Tired place. Unfriendly staff
Location is lovely and the staff is top-notch! My family and I enjoyed our stay
Positive: Price and the restaurants nearby within walking distance Negative: Nothing
Positive: Room was okay. When we arrived the bathroom floor had hair all over it. Gross. We told the front desk they said sorry but did not offer to have anyone come to clean so we did ourselves. Not well run.
No breakfast, no coffee, small pot in room, one non-decaf in room. Two adults. Asked for multiple packets. Told us they only had one left. Sure...Hallways looked worn out. Room and bed good.
Good and quick service, clean property, quiet and very good location, close to a lot as restaurants, bars, stores and beaches
Smelt a little musty
Came in very late, very friendly check in staff. Very thin walls. I heard everything outside my room. Room was for the most part clean i kept finding long black hairs and Im very blonde myself... Towels and my bedspread had long black hairs on them. Wouldnt be my first choices to stay on the cape... Not very cape cod or new england charming theme. My company tells me where to go for rooms.
Was very clean and quiet. Would stay here again
Room was clean and the staff member was very helpful.
The hotel is inexpensive for the Cape. Yet, it was clean, well maintained and the staff was extremely friendly.
Oh and lets not forget the house keeper gave me one towel. The rugs stink. The a/c and heating system wreaked of a burning smell like it was about to catch on fire. I thought it was gonna blow up. The chair in the room was dirty and wreaked of mildew. I will never return to this place again. If I had to give a 5 star review to anyone it would be the woman named Victoria or veronica. She had the most customer service skills. Other than that I highly do not reccomend. She deserves a better job.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Extremely rude and unaccommodating. I complained of people smoking despite it being a smoke free room. The staff at the front desk were the rudest people ive ever met. They also did not return my $100 incidental fee despite the fact there were no damages. These people are CROOKS. Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else unless you enjoy being treated like a second class citizen.
It was a good place to stay. The breakfast could have been better. I dont know if it was because it was during the off season or not. Besides that it was a great place to stay.
Horrible hotel floors are dirty ac not cold lights flicker never agian over priced. Stay away .paid for services that we could not use. Blow dryer in bathroom did not work . hall ways had no air hot humid .
The place will charge your credit card without authority. And then say they have rules that were never presented to me when I signed all the paperwork.
I travel a little bit and stay at many hotels and this by far has been the best. Clean and quiet. You can judge a place by its smell and this place is like a field of fresh flowers.
Very clean room. Good location.
Love how they redecorated the Falmouth Inn. The only problem we had, the pool wasnt clean, if had a dirty film, on the pool.We were going to use it & saw how dirty the pool was & decided not to use it. Also the hot tub needed lights in the hot tub.. I scratched my foot in the tub. Could not see the steps. That will cause people to injure themselves Need some work in the pool and hot tub areas
We stayed there August 2019. The rooms were recently upgraded, the bathrooms also. The only negative I have is that the bath towels were VERY small. The breakfast was adequate and the staff did everything to make our stay comfortable. The price was also RIGHT! It was an easy drive to the ferries for Marthas Vineyard and Nantucket. There is a movie theater nearby which serves full dinner!
Clean Room and Bathroom! Heat took a Long Time to Get Work, Kept Blowing Cold Air! Bed Was Comfortable and Plenty of Pillows. The View was Best with the Curtains Drawn! Overall For 1 Nights Stay and Being Allowed to Have My Dog with Me Made Me Rate The Falmouth Inn 4 Stars! Id Come Back!
Wonderful rooms and friendly staff.
The location was good for our plans. The room was comfortable, however the room had a roach. Also I found other peoples hair on my sheets. Another big disappointing factor was no continental breakfast as advertised. When I called they said eggs, sausage, bagels, juice and cereal. We found no milk, eggs or sausage and had to order from a restaurant across the street.I know it is no Ritz Carlton, but come on. The Inn is basically low budget for a reason, therefore you pay for what you get.
Stayed here off season for a hockey tournament. A total of over 80 people from our group. The hotel was so flexible and accommodating. Our rooms were all in proximity with each other and they were more than patient with all of the excited children in the pool and hallways.
The property itself is fine, but my spouse and I felt a little deceived this summer. We stayed here twice: first in July, and then six weeks later in August, and both times the wifi was barely working. It would be okay for about a half-hour, and then stop working for fifteen minutes, and then be okay again, and then stop working again, etc. When we called to tell them about this in July, they claimed they knew about the problem and were working on it. When we called in August, we received, almost word for word, the same response. What this tells us is that they do know about the problem, but are NOT working on it -- because if they were, how would the problem not be fixed six weeks later? In addition, both times we were there, the phones in the rooms did not work. In order to reach somebody at the front desk, we had to use our cell phones and dial the main hotel number. Its not hard for a property to get good wifi in Falmouth, MA. I suspect that the Falmouth Inn is banking on its guests just shrugging and assuming its a one-time problem. This review is to clarify that it is not. If you have a need for consistent internet while in Falmouth, do yourself a favor and try another hotel.
This was definitely not worth 150$ a night walking in the room smelled moldy and it was.. the curtain had mold the ceiling was falling apart because of the humidity. To make matters worse because we tried to air out the room, the air conditioning was extremely loud and not a hum loud but a constant high pitched squeal. Towels had orange brown staines. TV stand was sticky, the mini fridge worked but full of water and dirty. Rooms are paper thin, could hear my neighbors talking with full clarity, so if your neighbors complaint about noise its probably not you, but they could still charge you for noise complaints. Lets not forget that theres never anyone at the front desk, to check in I rang their Bell like 4 times, and told the receptionist that I made a reservation, but she blatantly ignored what I said, and if my boyfriend didnt point it out, I would have gotten charged twice for the one night. Also for those who would like military discounts they have never seen a military ID before and requested another form of ID. So hey even if yall arent military you could probably pay 130$ instead of 150$. Probably not even worth it anyway. The pool and hot tub wasnt bad. But just like the rest of the hotel there were bugs and just needed a thorough cleaning... Good luck.
Really friendly and professional staff. Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Fun bar and restaurant attached. Nice pool, parking, good location.
This is a super nice place for the money. The gal at the front desk was super nice. I am actually in shock at how clean this is. Totally recommend if you are in the area. Includes free wifi and breakfast!
I went to this Inn to take part in a water class in the evening. The front desk person never looked up, lobby was not clean. Had to change In the restroom outside pool area that was dirty. The pool was only about 74 degrees and cold. The hot tub was so murky (didnt see til I went in) and I got out quickly. Very discouraging. I know its winter in Cape Cod but come on-heating a pool is part of maintenance and the hot tub should be shut down! Not cleaning a bathroom? Inexcusable
My family had a great stay at the Falmouth inn as we always do. Roshan does a great job there! The staff is always friendly, pool is clean and warm, and the rooms are clean!
Good hotel nothing fancy
Positive: Pleasantly surprised as a non-chain hotel
Positive: location. Also has a small bar that also serves food that was convenient and pleasant
The Inn was nicely renovated. Looks like there was still work being done in some areas. The room looked really nice. The TV in the room needed some help. The sound was awful and the picture wasn’t great and if you like rock hard beds this room is for you! However, my husband and I do not. Overall the Inn was really nice and the restaurant has great food too!
The property was well kept and the room was clean. The location was close to local grocery stores and shopping amongst other attractions. The only negative of our stay was cleaning staff being a little pushy during check out time before the actual check out time. Their English was not very good so we did not take this personally however when spending almost $200 a night for hotel room probably not the greatest treatment of a guest.... other than that fantastic room and the complimentary breakfast was very good! Great selection of food friendly owner/manager would tend to it each morning good hospitality!
I really liked that, the attendant on the front desk was pretty good, rooms very clean and location is nice, I’ll come back to this place, had a nice experience
Thank you for responding to my review. It is greatly appreciated! We enjoyed our stay and the staff members were nice. Our only issues were that the person who cleaned our room didnt refill all the toiletries and we were surprised to be charged for a toothbrush as other hotels give them for free.Thank you again for taking our feedback into consideration.
Clean nice room and bath, free hot breakfast, fridge and microwave in room, bar in building, pool indoors
Better customer service is needed here. The front desk hadn’t received a reservation that I made with a booking service. As a result I had to make a second reservation directly with the hotel. This seems like something that could have been avoided if the staff and management were more organized and had contact information for the booking companies they advertise with.I arrived after 11 pm and noticed that the side door to the building did not lock.Walking down the hall to my room, I could hear someone having sex in one of the rooms. This was so loud that I could hear it multiple doors away. Not a good first impression. The room itself was basic. Worn but clean. The window could use more curtains to keep out light from the neighboring lot.The bed was comfortable but the pillows were not. Bring your own if you can.
The hotel wasn’t bad for a quick one night stay, it was located in a good area of Falmouth. Sadly I had to spray the room with my perfume because it smelled like porter potty. The air conditioner sounded like a engine too. We got upgraded and it didn’t really feel like an upgrade.
Staff is super friendly. Coffee machine, microwave, and refrigerator in room. Bar/restaurant on-site. Breakfast everyday. Convenient walk to the ferry if youre going to the islands.
Great place would definitely stay again great atmosphere and the room was very clean
Nice place
Very hospitable. Nice and clean. Great food in large portions.
Recently redone room. Bathroom were clean and nice. Staff seemed nice and the location was just a few minutes from everything.
Great customer service. Great location -- only a 15-minute walk from the main strip in Falmouth. Clean room. Wifi was good our first two nights, but spotty our second two nights, and that is our only complaint.
Very good deal for the price, located close to everything. Not posh, but just enough.
You get what you pay for.
Clean and inexpensive. I recommend Falmouth In for its surprisingly spacious rooms, decent price, and its proximity to Falmouths main Street which is also worth your time. There is a bar, continental breakfast, swimming pool with hot tub, and friendly staff. It really is a decent and clean place to stay. The only reason I give it a four instead of a five is because it isnt much to look at, but I would, and likely will, stay there again.
Positive: It was a great rate in the location I needed. Negative: When I got into my room, the heat unit was off. It took almost 30 mins for the room to warm up. I went into the bathroom and notice there was 2-3 of water in the tub because the cleaning lady never took the drain plug in and there were ants everywhere
We went in knowing this was a 2-3 star rated motel, but we stayed for 5 days and had no complaints. The staff was friendly, free parking & breakfast, and the maids always did our rooms up very nicely. All in all, not a bad experience!
I have stayed here many times over the years this is my 2nd time this year and the upgrades are phenomenal. It is a nice Room and not a badd price.
Great stay! It was a quick stop before Martha’s Vineyard. I would recommend it to anyone!
It is unclear who manages this place. There was no communication between the people that worked there and the guests suffer for it. It was not child friendly. We could hear people having sex in other rooms at all hours of the day. The hallway is stuffy and the toilet in the public bathroom was full of.... It was not worth the money. We should have paid a little more to stay somewhere welcoming. I asked the maid for assistance in my room and she mumbled something that did not come off as friendly.
We had a bizarre encounter with the desk clerk as we attempted to check in — I’d booked and paid for two non-refundable rooms under one itinerary number and had the Travelocity confirmation to prove it, but she insisted she nevertheless “only had one room in the system” under my name, and she repeatedly said I should authorize payment for a third room and then “straighten it out with the manager in the morning.” We ended up with her manager on the phone with her; a Travelocity agent got involved ... I finally figured out I’d assigned a second name to the second room when booking online — but the clerk could see all along on her screen that I’d booked and paid for two rooms on the same ticket; all she needed to do was ask “does the second room have another name on it?” instead of stonewalling. It was INSANE and took 20 minutes to straighten out with this passive-aggressive nut!
Positive: The location and the friendliness of Tiffany. Negative: Requested adjoining rooms but check in none available. Got rooms diagonally across with floor of rambunctious hockey players. One room had smelly heat; we moved to quiet second floor next to another one room had no batteries in remote
Stayed for the Cape Cod Marathon, rooms were as expected, hot tub and pool were awsomeCoffee makers should be updated, and housekeeping definitely forgot to empty the trash before we checked in
Decent bang for the buck. Nice sports bar on site.
It was fair in location and amenities. Check in & out was easy. Staff were very nice
I meant to hit 5 stars. It was fabulous!!
The room was really nice. My husband and I planned on making this a regular place to stay at least once a month. That was, until we checked out this morning. Now I totally understand that the deposit you put down is to cover any damages. And Id be happy to oblige. But the man behind the counter embarrassed me to the fullest and that was uncalled for. He checked my room and non chalantly said Well theres blood on the sheets so I will need to charge you a cleaning fee I get that. But I was so incredibly embarrassed that I actually cried. I assume were all adult enough to know why it was there. But the fact I had to sit there and explain to this man my total situation was embarrassing and uncalled for. We will not be returning and will find a different hotel in the area to frequent.
Nice rooms, quick check in.
First. I stay 4 days there and they never change the sheets, the pool and jacouse was so dirty. I asked to change the water but they didnt..so bad experience and service too also the morning breakfast wasnt good.Definitely I will not recommended this place so expensive..not good costumer service..very disappointed...
Rooms were ok, however Dining area had dirty carpet, looked as hadnt been updated in years. Staff didnt seem to be too welcoming. During breakfast not enough food put out for such a large group. When asked staff for anything they would ration items out.. i.e. yogurt, sausage. Have stayed at a lot of hotels,, never have I been to one that didnt have tops for to go coffee, this was designed so that you wouldnt take coffee.. Bar in hotel however, cant take drinks to room waitress stated not owned by hotel so management wouldnt allow
To start with the room was filthy when i checked in.Stains on everything.Lights didnt work either. The mini fridge had a foul odor.Coffee served at continental breakfast was premade swill that just gets added to hot water and beverage cups are like 3.5oz.Breakfast is the same everyday. Eggs (the all yellow kind poured out of a carton) sausage, partly stale bagels and warm dry Danish.Housekeeping will talk in their native tongue in front of you in a way that is obviously meant to be insulting.Their air ventilation is poor. Somebody smoked pot (the skunky smelling kind) in another room and the vent filled mine with the smell. They did nothing about the couple who fought almost constantly screaming obscenities at each other at ALL hours.
The rooms were adequate and clean, however did not feel safe. A stranger ran into our room, attacked me and my brother. We called 911, the police refused to pull the hallway cameras, and I was taken to the ER with a concussion. When calling the hotel desk to report what happened they claimed the manager was busy and never called me back. Long story short I was charged with an extra $120 dollar charge to my card for “noise” complaints, slept in the hospital all night because I was the victim of an assault and was never even notified before the charge. In conclusion there is no hotel security even though the cops say this happens all time there. The police suggested I stay at the Sea Crest the next time I am in town.
The room was clean and nice, I would give it alone 5 stars, but when you add in the breakfast and overall aatmosphere the building I have to lower the rating. The breakfast was not very pleasing. The eggs were egg whites from a carton and everything offered was a carb or subpar yogurt. The only fruit offered was a banana. The front desk staff were polite and informative. If you are busy with plans and dont plan to spend much time at the hotel, then this place is perfect- clean and conveniently located in Falmouth.
Very nicely located motel to catch ferry to Marthas vineyard by 5 min walk and lots of restaurants, banks and everything within half a mile. Breakfast was reasonable though the orange juice always runs out and they cannot refill. Coffee was very good. Room was reasonable. Bathroom was too small. Friendly front desk. Overall highly recommend due to reasonable price and everything convenient.
The front desk staff was friendly. But the room had a musty odor when we arrived. The blankets& towels had spots, the refrigerator didnt work. On my last night I heard noise from the 2nd floor. The continental breakfast was ok. But the food at the hotel restaurant, served by a waitress wearing a dark colored dirty apron, was barely edible. However, the pool & worldpool were adequate. I had to remind myself that this is not 5 star luxury hotel.
Had to leave the hotel at 6 a.m. continental breakfast is not sure if till 7:10 thats a little late. That may be okay for business class
Room was good, nice and clean. Great housekeeping staff, very attentive. Pool was nice & clean. Breakfast was better than I thought itd be.
Good rooms with good service and convenient loacation. Will definitely go back.
I made a reservation the morning before my stay for two nights. I was not made aware of 3 day cancellation period, per se, only that my reservation was locked in because I received a charge for the first night immediately and making it the day of. I called the front desk shortly after checking in after finding out I did not need to stay my second night and was told that the manager would get back to me in the morning (They didnt.) Look, I understand this 3 day cancellation policy. My biggest problems are assigning a room next to me to another customer in an EMPTY hotel (this person snored and kept me from sleeping when I finally set down) and the fact that THERE WAS NO HEAT IN THE WINTER. There was no way for me to really know if your heating/cooling unit was working. But I did turn it “on” while I was there for a short time in the afternoon/evening thinking it might pop on and off again and maybe I didnt notice it, but by the time I returned at 6AM (I work nights) the room was freezing and there was basically nothing I could do about it. Good customer service would just dictate that my unsatisfactory stay at that point, not your cancellation policy, would suggest you allow me out of my second night. But you apparently have no sympathy, empathy or respect for your customer because when I was notified that I would receive a refund (I was told it was for the second night, not a partial amount) and then called back to speak with the manager, you harped on your cancellation policy, not the issues with my stay which in my opinion are far more egregious than me asking to get out of my contract with you for a two-night stay because of work. I think I was polite and understanding regarding my situation and it is my opinion the manager cared more about getting partial payment during the slow season than addressing a customers concerns regarding a poor stay at your establishment.
Everything is very clean. The rooms were very clean place for breakfast. I was very clean
Had a great night of rest and breakfast. Cold not hear the bar or karioke in rooms
Was here for a wedding and they were not very accommodating. We blocked room for guests 8 months in advance, but they still offered that same rate for the public. SO difficult to get in touch with the manager. No one called us back when they said they would. Staff lied to us saying they were filling up bc of other weddings but when we checked in they said there werent any wedding except ours. The staff and their family members were just standing around during breakfast and were listening in to our conversations during breakfast. Breakfast was a pretty sad display. Toaster didnt function correctly and wouldnt pop up after a given time, I watched 4 people have to manually eject their toast after it started smoking. There was 3 yogurts in the fridge. THREE. And staff that was all lingering and eavesdropping never resupplied. Only 4 bananas, no other fruit, coffee was just hot water with specs of coffee grinds. Room didnt have a single light bulb that worked when we checked in and a long black hair in the bathroom. For the price, I would not recommend.
Clean, quiet and good location. Try the Surf Board at Flynnies.
The Falmouth Inn was dirty and the conditions were absolutely horrendous. We stayed there end of June and it was a huge mistake. The bedding was old and torn. And the sheets were filthy and looked unwashed. There was so much noise on the second floor and no one fixed the broken air conditioner. To top it all the staff was just plain rude. The other reviewer were spot on about that.
Nice staff. Accommodatibg. Bleach stains on the comforters but otherwise it was good.
Blown away for the price. Very clean. And the BED! I hit it and slept.
Good hotel, has pool and whirlpool, snack machines and soda, besides containing a bar inside the hotel for meals
Clean. Nice staff. We enjoyed the pool and lounge. Near shopping, restaurants and some night life.
