Nice theater. Non luxury recliner seats, but the seats are comfortable, good posture. Clean, no smell or stickiness. Good staff, friendly service. Good prices, good number of different movies showing. Easy parking, easy in and out
Did not feel safe there. Snack prices are like going to a Jeys game! Stupid high. But most important I did not feel safe there.
The theater was nice well kept but the seats was uncomfortable
Uncomfortable seats, weird service at the food shop
Its Always Calm & Half Empty When I Go I Love It!
Love the neon lights; adds a great movie theater experience and perfect for taking pictures with friends.
Very clean, plenty of parking. Nice theater
I always enjoy a day or night at the movies at Showcase Cinemas in Fairfield.
Apparently they close the concession stand before 8 pm, even while movies are still playing, and they make no mention of this when you are purchasing your tickets. Got tickets around 7:45, go get settled in theater, come out to get popcorn and drinks about 7:55 and the lady behind the concession counter is almost screaming at me we closed, we closed. I cant get a drink? (there are 2 workers still behind the counter and other customers there). No, we closed! She was way too excited to let me know that I could not get a drink to get me through a 2 1/2 hour movie. Made the experience miserable. I have lived in this area my entire life; this theater used to be nice. No longer the case. Horrible service. My family or I will never patronize this theater again.
The movie was good, price wasnt too bad, and the place looked pretty cool inside. Angie at the concession stand could learn some customer service skills. I stood there for a good 5 minutes and she didnt acknowledge me in any way. Then when she did there was no greeting, no smile, no friendliness.
Awesome chairs and popcorn
The popcorn was very good. The crowd was not big which is great. The seats are a bit old and screen a bit small
Seats are so comfy and love the surround sound.
A little tight in the seating considering how ties is so much more comfortable. Its a very nice theater we took escalators up not sure how handicapped people get in.
Fine... regular movie theater... slow line for food... would have been faster with one person working each register (rather than multiples working together) and a single line with people going to the next available register.
Its a decent theater, but Im used to more comfortable seating and better surround sound systems.
Other than the fact that the seats are not recliners as in Trumbull, Connecticut, the theatres are fine. They are comfortable, and the movie, Toy Story 4, was wonderful, and our almost 6 year old granddaughter loved it.
Not sure if its because its Tuesday, was pretty empty and just feels dated and not clean. Floor in theater was sticky.
Nice, clean movie theater in Fairfield county. Individual theaters are on the small side but serviceable. Theres a nice big lobby with a decent concessions stand where you can wait for your film to start. Its empty during weekdays so if you want prime choice seating Id go then. Unless an empty theater makes you feel down; all alone just me and the film. I could have stayed at home. The entry to the theater as told by Google Maps is off. Google took me to BJs, next to the movie theater. Also there is another movie theater just next to Fairfield Cinemas. If theres anything to criticize negatively it would be the driving directions on how to get to this theater. All in all, its an okay theater. Not my 1st choice. No 3D or IMAX. Wheelchair accessible. Male/female somewhat small bathrooms.
The cashier would not honor the 5 dollar tues, and when she did she did not allow all 3 of us to get the discount, and nowhere on the website does it say only cardholder and a guest I looked multiple times to make sure I was not just miss reading the fine print, but I dont like making scenes, so bit my tongue and keep it moving, I will continue to use the services only to see if there is improvement.
I love this theater complex. It has endless free parking, two escalators, AND, they are never going out of business --even as people stop going to the movies. Why? Because they have a 99 year lease! Smack down that developer! Sorry, no condos. And they show a great and diverse program of films. Bullard Square is square in the best way. Popcorn needs work.
Matinee documentary about WW I was very good. Very sad so many young men on both sides had to end up slaughtered or maimed both physically and mentally for idiotic political reasons. Well-done documentary. Stay for the post-credit presentation by the director.
This is an older theater, no stadium seating or high seat backs (and certainly a far cry from the new luxury seating) and yet you pay more for a ticket. Otherwise the theater is as youd expect. Staff is very nice so thats a plus.
We have tended to frequent the Showcase Bridgeport next door and have not been to this theatre for a long while. I am glad to see that while the staff is reduced, they make the effort to increase attendence with free popcorn for members. The theatre itself was clean and well maintained.
Horrible seats. Ticket counter had no employee. After standing there 5 minutes was told to go buy tickets at snack counter. Audio sounded very poor. And watching Rocket Man that audio spoiled the movie. Parking garage was scarry.
Clean and most of the latest movies; not the latest lazy boy seating but everything else you want in a theater.
Seats were terrible, really really terrible, the girl at the ticket counter was the only one who was nice, the rest of the employees didnt really care much, the movie started with no sound but music in the background for like 10 min, dont recommend this place at all.
Ive been to this theatre a few times and it seems everytime I go this place is completely empty even on weekends. The customer service is mediocre they asked me to sign up for the starpass on Tuesday and the sign next to the register saying if you join the starpass you get tickets for 5$ each. When I enquired about the discount they told me it doesnt count unless you go home and fill out the form and then come back and get the tickets. The whole process was ridiculous I work in customer service the ad was next to the register to drive enrollment why would anyone enroll if they couldnt start saving money. Even the manager had no idea what they were doing. We paid for the tickets and got our snacks when we went to sit down the woman from the register tracked us down and demanded to see the tickets she just sold us the whole experience was insane and I completely understand now why the place is always empty.
I watched a wonderful movie but almost froze to death in there! Theater 8 was so so cold ! I ask if they offered a military discount but they only offer to active military! I did my service and in my opinion anyone that has served deserves a discount as well! The next question out if that ladies mouth was if we are some type of movie member she would give us a discount, really? Let! Being a veteran isnt good enough?
Very comfy seats excellent customer service
I like the selection here. More films in good taste and less dross. The theatre is clean although I thought it was a bit less so yesterday. Popcorn was too invasive.....
Theres just something about escalators that make you want to see the movie just a little more. As theaters go, time has passed it by a bit, but its serviceable.
The seats are very comfortable
I might just be spoiled with the Milford theater. But overall Fairfield Cinemas is an alright theater. What stands out to me is the seats feel crammed together, the screen is somewhat small and you cant check online for seating...But with the movie pass card, I would definitely come back if they are playing a movie I or my wife would like to see.
Comfortable and clean movie theater, good quality sound and view. Concessions are fine. Never have a problem with parking. Its all good.
Staff was slow and the seats in theater was small....looks very outdated.
This is a very nice older classic movie theatre.
Theatre could have been a little cleaner, ladies room was clean & comfortable
Good place to go see a movie but it definitely needs an update to keep up with the times
It’s pretty good, just don’t get lost! >_
Nice place and cheap prices
Very nice movie!
I have been coming here forever I cant believe its still around!
Good, the line to get ticket vs concessions was confusing... People didnt know were to go. Rest of night was fine. Although like all movie theater the price of concessions was insane
If you were to decide between this theatre and Bow tie cinema, its a no brainer. Not only is super Tuesday cheaper, but the popcorn is better, and the seats are actually at different heights. At this cinema if someone sits in front of you, your experience is completely ruined. My TV has better quality than this theatre. Take the extra minutes to drive to Bow Tie cinemas in Trumbull.
Came here to watch Lady Bird. Nice and clean. The seats are a bit snug not much room to bend legs. We still enjoyed.
A large number of screens _ so between this cinema and ones next door you will find a movie that suits your interests. Plenty of covered parking.
Lion King, great movie.
The picture quality wasnt clear, had lots of artifacts on the screen. The size of the screen was not widescreen. The seating was old and extremely tight. No movable arm rests. Unfortunately that was the only the only theater around playing the documentary i wanted to see.
Nice staff, frequently showing more esoteric films.
You can tell it’s an older theatre. It’s has a retro theme inside. Big neon lights and neon designs brighten the lobby. The carpet is super 60s looking too.The popcorn is fresh. Which is nice. The staff seems nice too. I arrived super early for a movie and they were friendly about it.The actual screen rooms are decent. You’ll be surprised when you walk in to find the gallery is not raised. It’s under the screen. Haven’t seen that in a while. The seats are super firm. Not much leg room. No bending chair backs. And the width of them are snug. Kind of a tight fit from the front and on the sides. I am guessing because this theatre is old the seating is outdated? My movie was in 3D and the screen and audio were good. Not great. But good. Would give the movie experience a 7.5/10.Overall the theatre did the job. It’s not luxurious. But it’s a good place for a matinee or daytime movie.
Great place to see a movie! The concession stand is pricey.
Theaters themselves are very nice. Some of the common areas could use an update. Rarely a wait though and super convenient.
This is a small but very well kept place, that for me is a catch.
Staff was helpful and engaging but the vibe is a bit too low key for a movie theater overall.
Very Sketchy... my friends and I were in the movies alone and we kept on hearing feet running and tiptoeing... also place looked straight up deserted ... never again️
The theaters are fine. The films could be better !
Decent theater, smallish screens, showing signs of age, but best popcorn anywhere.
Always a pleasure to see a movie there.
Great place. Great movie selections. Courteous staff.
New movies. Good parking. Comfortable seating.
It’s Fairfield’s cinema what’s more to say. You’ll always get a seat, it’s not the most fancy, be prepared to wait at the concession stands.
Clean, friendly, clean restrooms, fast lines when their is one
Smaller than average build movie houses but, cosy inside.
Bathrooms are easily accessible. Clean theaters. Not the most modern theater around but better than the one across the river in Bridgeport.
Good movie theatre good service
Why you still have the uncomfortable seats?
Old theatre but good customer service.
The cinema needs an update with seating otherwise concessions are reasonably priced and movie prices are moderately priced as well
Always have the new movies
Clean and polite
Needs updating, but still a good theater.
It is just the best I dont have any words for it
Ambiance lighting rather than floor path lighting interferes with the experience. Dark scenes are a strain to watch and activity in shadows or space is missed. Friendly staff and clean.
Nostalgic design harks back to my Movie experiences when I was much younger, however, it hasnt kept up with modern facilities and accommodations that I enjoy now about my current moviegoing experiences.
This Cinema Doesnt Play Movies, That Main Actors Are African Americans...Very Disappointing To See In This Time & Age! So SAD!(Moonlight is playing just because the popular reviews/expectations)
Go back in time to the 1980s in this old school movie theater.
Has a rat smell at the electric Escalade but food is expensive popcorn 8 dollar the movie 9 dollars total 18.00 wow.
Its ok.
Good selection of movies but theater is very tired and in dire need of renovations to update
Good nearby theater but really needs an update on decor.
Disappointing experience. First time in this theatre, and the concession stands were closed before the last showtime. The lights were left on when movie began, we had to go inform the front desk, missing the first 5 min of the movie and it was another 10 min before they dimmed the lights. Full price tickets for subpar service.
Saw a movie in fairly comfortable seats.
Very nice theater
A little confusing to get to. somehow the entrance looks like its by BJs but its not
Talk about comfort. Only issue is the need to upgrade their seats.
Also a favorite when I was a kid
Great area to eat and see a movie or see a movie and eat...
Saw Disobedience. Theatre comfortable.
I love this theatre!!!!!Always a great experience!!!!!Very well laid out and great movies, food, and professional!!!
Great theater. Need more customers to keep this thing going!!
I love this cenema its not overcrowded, peaceful
It was a great overall experience
Love Tuesday night movies!!
Great staff nice place
Very clean theatre with comfortable seats.
Nice clean cinemas but need to upgrade the seats, Very uncomfortable.
Need to update the seats
