Evanston had such a great history because of the railroad in Early Times. Cattle drives and coal mining existed before those days. After the railroad boom, came the oil boom. The keepers of this Museum have displayed it wonderfully

Amazing free museum with an impressive collection. Great Native American Indian section and a fun hands on area for the kids. Docents are cheerful and knowledge. Small store with unusual gifts at great prices. I was also given some great brochures for the town walking tour and a fascinating one about the old Chinatown. A lot to see but you can breeze through and come back again!

A great Museum full of wonderful historical information on the settlement and traditions throughout many surrounding areas as well! Laura Was so charming as FULL OF HELPFUL INFORMATION! Kay was also helpful. A+ TO laura for everything she shared with me!!!!

Very nice place to visit

So much fun for the kids and for me. The scavenger hunt was very engaging for the older kids and the hands on kid area downstairs was fun for everyone.

For a local historical museum, this is great. Railroad artifacts and pioneer knick knacks abound. The basement is full of kids stuff that my kids. The staff we interacted with were kind and helpful.

Small museum. Its not very clear where they want you to start. The guide was helpful but a little overbearing. Let us go our own pace. They have some cool items but its definitely a low budget museum. Loved that it was free!

The Uinta County Museum was fun to visit and learn the history of the area. The people that contributed to history their inventions, farms, oil mining, trains... After visiting this Museum, dont forget to go and see the train yard.
