Walked around the park today. Great afternoon. The place is all decorated for Christmas. Will have to go back at night for the lights.
Its very peaceful. Very quiet. Good place if you just want a break from everything.
Wonderful exhibits! Well set up for social distancing. Lovely gift shop, friendly & helpful staff.
What a purely delightful evening full of excitement, beautiful Chinese dancing, a rainbow of colors, and so many wonderful stories they tell. The orchestra is superb, and it is just a very special evening. I have gone for the last five years, because each year, they have a whole new show.I cant wait to see what they have in store next. You are not allowed to take photos in the program, so everyone can enjoy every advantage. You will love it! Go!
The Drive-In idea is great. But the prices are ridiculously high! Who can afford this? People are not working right now. Why should I pay all that money when I can go to the Drive-In theaters in Santee and in South Bay and pay only $10 a person and I can bring my own food and drinks.
We held a workshop in the conference center of this venue. The staff was amazing and attentive throughout the entire process. We are based in a different state and have to choose venues for our workshop without being able to tour them personally. Terri and her team sent us all the pictures, floorplans, and all the info we needed. They were really great to work with through the entire process. The day of the event was flawless. Everything was prepared to our specifications. We heard feedback from our attendees that the food was delicious. I would highly reccommend them for any event, and especially for corporate ones when you have to deliver to your customers!
This was a hard rating. The place is stunning. Parking was great (30 min early) Loved the performance (Lee Brice) and sound and staff were super. Reasoning for the not great rate? The bar situation was atrocious!!! They need to bring a bar manager in and revamp immediately!!! 4 lines all trying to do mixed drinks off 1 center bar, all mixers are in a whole separate back room. Want a rum and coke? Thats gonna take 5 minutes to make after a 30 minute line!!! Why bother paying to see a show? Want a simple beer or wine? You get to wait in those exact same lines! No joke.Add a (or 3) simple beer/wine ONLY lines. Pop a top, pour and pay.Get those sodas out of the back room at more than 1 can per order!!! Get these bartenders more than 1 place to get harder alcohol. People should not miss over 1/2 the show to just get a soda (no alcohol). This was seriously the worst Ive ever experienced. They didnt even have non-alcoholic lines for water or straight sodas. This HAS to be fixed before I ever go back.
We went to the performance of Dancing With The Stars - Live! Great venue, seats were comfortable. Good free parking lot, well lighted and ease of exit/entrance.Only issue was the bathroom locations, need them on every level. The intermission was crazy trying to get in to use them.Highly recommend the venue.
Some of the rudest people I’ve met. Their temporary stay at the Mall was not well received by existing businesses as they seem to think they owned the parking spots. Stay in your lane!
First Wednesday FREE concerts are Amazing... It was my first time visiting and loved this artist Leonard Patton truly he gets a 5 Star .. but the walk to the venue for a Handicap person and the bathroom is a elevator ride or a flight of steps is why I only gave it a 4
Beautifully decorated for the Holiday season around the grassy area. Interior spaceous. Bar well stocked for alcoholic and other drinks. Comfortable seating. Sound system much more clear than San Diego Civic Center. Good seats with clear view of stage throughout the venue. Wide variety of shows throughout the year.
Loved the Carols by Candlelight. Lovely theatre. Just wish they would get the beverage area moving faster and rethink the astronomical prices. The beverage costs are not in line with other theatres weve been to anywhere!
Pink Martini had a Great Show in a great venue tonight, this was our first time to the theater. Comfortable and roomie seating, good view no matter where you are sitting. Definitely will be coming back.
Perfect sound, no bad seats. Saw Lyle Lovett (whom I have seen a lot all over the country) and it sounded the best I have ever heard. I will keep em eye on this location for more shows. Cant wait to go back.
The California Center for the Arts in Escondido is a great venue to see a concert. We went to see Michael McDonald there and found there was not a bad seat in the house. They have a variety of events, including concerts and performing arts, festivals, film screenings, museum exhibits and free community events.
Great shows and exhibits here!
My husband and I attended a performance of Dancing With The Stars - Live! We loved the venue!Lots of parking, lighted pathways, usher and security staff very helpful. Seating is very comfortable and viewing the stage is unobstructed, although we did have Orchestra center VIP seats. They have fully stocked bars, pouring premium spirits. You can purchase a sealed glass/container that is permitted to be taken to your seats. The only negative comment would be location of restrooms, they are not located on every floor. So it does take awhile to get to them and then wait for your turn.
BE WARNED, many of the seats, including all the boxes, have very poor views of the stage. The balconies are strangely curved which means that you need to sit in the middle of the rows to be able to see. Also dont sit in the first row of the balconies as the large metal railing will obscure your view since it basically sits at eye level. This is also the big problem with the boxes! Imagine buying box seats and not being able to see because of a f**king great big metal bar! Pleasant venue in terms of appointment and appearance, great free parking.
Awesome winter wonderland free community Christmas event!
The center is a great place to enjoy many wonderful events of amazing variety! Venue is comfortable and provides good viewing at all areas.
I have enjoyed being on stage and in the audience. Beautiful. All seats are great and productions top notch.
An excellent exhibit of Manzanar internment camp through the lens of Ansel Adams with an additional exhibit by Wendy Maruyama. Its so hard to believe this happened to Americans. We need to remember how easy it is to be so frightened that we will behave with extreme cruelty to others who have done nothing to deserve such treatment.
Great place for events, however there was not much secure parking though.
Love going to see great music here
One of the best venues in San Diego County for a seated audience. Definitely the best in North County San Diego. Seems to be capable of handling a small - medium symphony orchestra.
Saw Lee Brice here on 3/5. Artist was awesome unfortunately the center was unprepared and had 30+ min line for drinks and the venue was hot enough to make the whole crowd pretty uncomfortable. The lighting was terrible as well, coming on at inappropriate times often blinding us. Wont be coming here again for a show.
Parking was easy, the performance venue was small and intimate so enjoyed the show. Restaurants across the street. Will definitely go back.
Great theater and large beautiful campus. Parking is slightly confusing and signs to get you where you want to go are lacking. A far better option than downtown though!
The acoustics are excellent. Sat in the Mezzanine for the United States Marine Band, aka The Presidents Own, and heard excellent details and soft passages. Seems like an opera house seating arrangement with 2 balconies, Mezzanine, Dress Circle, main floor orchestra seating and side boxes. No one is very far from the stage.
Very nice and modern Event Hall, we came to see the Shen Yun show and it was extremely nice. Music is very nice and there is no echo, like other halls we have attended. Seating is very spacious and friendly for the handicap. Plenty of parking for everyone, which is free and open to everyone.
And awesome show of ballet folkloric o de Amalia Hernandez
I love this venue. Close parking, the theater isnt so big that you need to bring binoculars, but big enough that you feel the majesty of the performance.
No Covid walk available
I have only been here once but absolutely enjoyed it. Saw the Whose Line is it Anyway guys perform their improv and had a great time. The place was nice and would love to go again.
Well maintained. Geeod seating arrangements. Good acoustics
Great seats all around inside the concert hall and the staff is super helpful and friendly.
Saw an amazing Spin Doctors show last night. The sound was wonderful.
A cute and very modern theater, loved our experience!
Local treasure that is not appreciated enough. Hosts some excellent shows, and the facility is very well designed. Recommended.
California Center for the Arts is a great place for many indoor and outdoor activities. This weekend they had auditions for children to perform in a play.they are also connected to a parkand a small Escondido Museum. Take a visit, there is a pool and boys and girls Club on the block also. A great place to spend an afternoon.
I worked the bridal convention there . The place is beautiful and very cool .
First time seeing the Shen Yun show. Christmas present from husband. Front row seat by orchestra. My new compact.
Attended Lila Down Concert
Though I came in on a private exhibition showcase, the museum is very spacious leaving lots of room to roam and look at various kinds of artworks scattered about the facility.
Dia de los Muertos festival. A time for family to remember their loved ones.
I love the REAL world ART
The Christmas spectacular is fantastic, just get to it early. Best Santa Ive ever seen
My wife and I really felt the aloha watching Keola Beamer, his wife Moana, and the great Henry Kapono perform last night at this wonderful and intimate venue!#greatdatenight
Very nice venue! Free parking, well organized events.
What a gorgeous facility! A real treat to see a performance here!
It is a warm and wonderful venue. The team that supports it is top notch and professional.
Wonderfully sound, wonderful venue, saw Lyle Lovett for the 10tg time or so, and it was one of the best sounding ever.
Escondido Center for the Arts is really out-doing themselves. I am a big fan of the Arts and have lived in large cities (NY, LA,Miami, others and this place is rocking!!Exceptional!!
A nice location with a big parking lot. Have been here for a few concerts and shows and have enjoyed them. However, the seating in this venue is somewhat strange, especially the balcony. The lobby and waiting areas could use a good cleaning, the carpets are stained and dirty.
A real treasure in Escondido
Attended the Etienne Concert, the artist was great, the venue audio could have been better & more timely mix. House staff was great!
My boyfriend and I first came to the Arts Center to see New Worlds: Bill Murray, Jan Vogler & Friends. It was amazing! The Center was beautiful, clean and the staff was helpful. There is a bar and snacks for anyone to get refreshments before-hand. Finding our seats was easy; the chairs are comfortable. I loved the aesthetic of the Center as well- a blend of modern architecture with old fashioned theatre vibes complete with high balcony boxes. The location is great as well since there are tons of little eateries nearby. It was a lovely experience!
Very well set up for outdoor Natalia concert
Went here to see “Shen Yun” and wowzers! If you’re on the fence about going to catch this show, DO IT! Apparently the show updates every year, which would keep things fresh. But it seems like it would be almost unnecessary. This was visually stunning, and appealing in every way. We were blessed with excellent seats for the performance, (three rows from the orchestra pit and stage) but I don’t think you can get a bad seat in this venue. Definitely a must to kick off the theatre season!
So much fun w mexican music..lovely
Saw does stand-up comedy and improv group it was a great way to spend two hours on New years Eve
Amazing Amazing place! We saw Shen-Yun there.
Very nice venue and a not for profit at that. Saw the Marines 1st division band here. Had a great time. If i lived in the area i would definitely return fro some other shows.
I attended the Shen Yun show and loved it!Its always a good experience going to events at CCFTA...
Shen Yu is not as good as it once was. There are no photos because they will not allow you to take photos. The only thing you really get is a memory and a sore butt from the chairs at the Escondido Arts Center.
Beautiful property. Acoustics were fantastic. We saw Alan Cumming Legal Immigrant Awesome show. I was kind of shocked that I have lived here for 11 years and never been in this theater.I would love to see them get bigger acts in the near future. I think their biggest headliner this past year was David Archuleta.I will definitely be returning. Fingers crossed on bigger acts in the future.
Had the worst time! Its was so hot, I was sweating! Went to see Shen Yun, very disappointing!
The acoustics are wonderful and the stage is fully visible, even from the balcony. However, I found the balcony seats - while affordable - were very steep and a bit scary getting to the seat. Temperatures remained comfortable throughout the show. Very easy to find the venue and parking is free.
Nice size venue. Great acoustics.
I would rate the venue higher, but only for the seating orientation, I cant. Not sure who designed the seating position at the outer areas of the upper sections, but you literally have to turn 90 degrees to view the stage. I was looking straight across the the other side of the auditorium! They need to reorient the seats to the side to make them acceptable. The parking is good, the building is attractive, and the staff was wonderful and helpful.
The Shen Yun show was extremely hot. Getting to your seats is a mission since there is only about 5 inches of foot room to walk on.
Excellent place for a concert. Staff is very helpful and very professional and nice.
Seriously! There isnt a bad seat in the whole entire house! The sound was great and the building itself is up to date and nice. Seats are comfortable too. Parking is near. So you dont have to walk too far.
Gem and material show only for 2 day. 29 & 30 of this month Got great gems. $5 to go in and free parking. Enjoy!
Carols for Christmas was nice and the music was great.
All is on time and in order. I enjoy it each time.
Had a fantastic time at the Celia Cruz tribute! CCAE thank you and cant wait to see what else you have in store!
Beautiful place, great guides, saw Shen Yun - excellent show
It was a great sight and sitting performance, loved it all, overall a great show!
Great venue, no bad seats.
Amazing theatre, amazing facility and great staff.
The bathrooms are located in the lower level but I didnt realize it until I was already upstairs for the concert. It has a nice sit down area at the entrance inside which is where I waited for my husband to arrive, I would have been nice if beverages were served there. Parking is free but arrive at least an hour early for good parking. I like when they have shows outside in the summer and curbside eats shows up. I love the food trucks and so do the kids.
Went to see The Presidents Own Marine Corps Band. Great venue!
Beautiful venue
Saw heathers here, it was incredible!! great theater with great sound
A fun place to walk around with friends
This venue is absolutely wonderful and a real crown jewel for the city of Escondido!
They have the best acts consitantly. Carrols by Candlelight every year is a great Holiday kick off.
Great venue with lots of separate meeting places. Parking is free and easy.
Had a wonderful time with Shen Yun
Nice local theater. Good variety of shows.
Attended a professional education event here. The facilities are lovely and well maintained. The walk from the parking lot is rather long, but the walk ways are covered so that even in the rain it one may stay dry.
Totally an awesome day for celebrating the 4th of July celebration
Very well done on maintaince keeping buildings looking nice.
A very welcoming group! I always look forward to attending Mass!!
Great theater. There wasnt really a bad seat in the place. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We ended up going to the wrong area and they helped us fix it right away.
