First time. Nice woods walk. Would be nice to have trail mapped on map at trail head and/or blazed. Probably several hundred feet down to Creek.
Gorgeous hiking trail with beautiful views of the creek, the forest, and the changing foilage.
Nice wide trails, not too muddy after the rain. The creek was very high and fast though we visited after over 24 hours of rain. Parking lot is very big and the park was easy to find. Trails were easy mostly and good for hiking with dogs. There were several fire rings though I am not sure what the rules are for the park but it definitely appears that people hang out in the park.
Absolutely gorgeous wilderness. Trails are a bit difficult to decipher, but easy enough area to navigate.
Husky loved the creek brought there wild side out and we really enjoyed the walk ourselves all besides the hills hard on mine heart our miniature dachshund didnt really care for it but we thought he might not as he was small but he tried what counts
Just got done wondering around the park for the first time. Absolutely loved that it wasnt built up like Asbury Woods! It reminded us of hikes we have done outside of Erie. My dog was also able to go everywhere I did. There were a decent amount of cars in the parking lot, but we barely ran into anyone which was nice during the stay-at-home order. I refuse to go back to Asbury Woods because it was so hard to stay away from people. I will definitely going back and my fiance plans on doing training runs back there for the Oil Creek 50k.
Beautiful area! So close to home! Great place to let the kids and dog play!
An awesome and seemingly not well known park. Every time Ive been here its usually just me and one or two other cars. The trail is well kept and easy enough to hike. Keep in mind that the end of the trail is a steep climb up the gorge using ropes. You can avoid this by going back the way you came.Make sure to go down stream if you have the ability to, theres some beautiful flumes and small waterfalls on the creek.
I love walking up hills its so beautiful out there
Trails in the woods down to the creek. Some options steeper and more challenging than others.
A truly hidden gem in Harborcreek - a fantastic place year round with great views, maintained trails and a variety of flora and fauna to encounter. The township hosts events there throughout the year and it is ever expanding. There are no bathroom facilities, but there are trash cans to help keep the area clean and a maintained parking lot. A MUST see place - over 400 acres of uninterrupted wildlife beauty!
This park is great! Stopped by during a road trip. Our Golden’s loved to play in the creek. Very clean and well maintained!
Cool place to let the dog run wild and skip rocks.
For only a 30 min walk I got to experience a great part of eries outdoors with fresh air and amazing scenery. Nice secluded spot with tons of trails to venture out to.... Awesome dog walking area
Trail (according to the All Trails app) is a bit hard to follow, no blazes. Nice trail
Great hike. easy enough but challenging if you want it to be
Great place for an hour or so hike. There are 2 trailheads that will meet up about a 15 minute walk into the woods. The trails will then head down to the creek embankment and you will be able to follow the creek. Beautiful spot to spend some time. The shale surrounding the river has a lot of brachiopod fossils.
A few steep hills but very beautiful to walk and great for biker riders
Love it here great place for pictures!
Absolutely a beautiful place ya must visit if ya love nature & great walking trails. Such a peaceful place to go & relax & take a break from lifes hecktic schedule& just breathe in some nice fresh air!!
A hidden gem
Great place for a day hike, not too hard, not too easy
Very quiet very peaceful
Nice little park. It is open to the public, located down a rural, residential road amidst a whole lot of corn fields. It is also located very close to the freeway. The trails, FYI, are NOT accessible for wheelchairs, and the footing is very unsteady in most places. The creek is the main reason this park exists. Much of the walkways are sloping because the property is entirely along the creek. The trails are not well marked but the place is so small it would be difficult to get truly lost (just follow the creek bed ).I went when the water was not high, and it was quite easy to walk along the loose flat rocks littering the creek everywhere. The south side of the creek has some cliff-like edges, which appear to create mini-waterfalls (but likely only evident after rainy periods). Also the rock walls along the steep edges of the creek are very curious, the layering of the exposed rock is fantastic. You dont need alot of time there, but if you are able/willing to wear shoes that can be submerged in the creek water, youll have a fun time.
Quiet peaceful wooded walks. Perfect for a sunny, chilly winter day.
The area is beautiful but the trail is unmarked and criss-crossed with side trails going who knows where, for first time visitors its very confusing
Great place to hike w kids
Beautiful scenery. Trails are minimal and a large steep hill is involved. Not particularly great for little children. Nice sized swimming hole at the creek.
Great park. But I wish the trails were marked better.
Love it
Small but very Beautiful
Long walk with wee ones.....
Very nice place
Very nice, quiet, serene area.
Nice family friendly area with good hiking trails, there is one picnic table, benches spread throughout
Its a nice place with a nice environment
Just a large parking lot but trails and scenery are gorgeous. Nice and quiet. Not a camp ground.
Great place to walk your dogs.
Fantastic place for a walk not an inner city park must be careful at night also during hunting season
Never crowded. Good for rappelling gear and mountain goats.
We had fun at this park! And we saw an American Bald Eagle!
Wonderful place to walk through the woods dabble your feet in the creek, and listen to birds.
