Gorgeous view from the top but I dont know if its worth the ticket price. Love Locks are being placed on the fence on the platform. Decent view for free from the platform. Nice spots around the dock to take some amazing pictures, just sit and watch the water, or catch a few fish for dinner! The construction along to rum runners is looking nice and hopefully will be finished soon.
Since we were the only people visiting, I might be biased. The gentleman at the top of the tower gave us his full attention and answered our questions, cracked small jokes and it was a pleasant experience overall. The small fee ($5 as of 7/20) was well worth the beautiful scenic view of the lake and the city.
It was a beautiful day. Clear blue skies and about 67 degrees Fahrenheit. We took the elevator to the top and got a spectacular 360 degree view. You can see Lake Erie just over the distant tree tops of Presque Isle. The tower is well worth a visit.
Great to get a view of the city from a height. Amazing view. Its unfortunate it closes to early because you cant see the city from the top of the tower at night. There will be a small window in the winter when the sun sets early so I cant wait for that. Amazing location to take a picture of the city!
Best sunsets in the world and lots of nice show vehicles to see. Great place to people watch and have good conversation with strangers.
This Pier on Lake Erie is a nice place to visit when you have to wait for someone visiting UPMC Hammot Hospital. Beautiful spot and always seems to have a breeze.
Amazing views! Love it here!
My son and I have enjoyed the tower many times. i even took my foster sister and her boyfriend who enjoyed it. this place gives you the opportunity to see eries greatest surroundings of nature. from the bayfront to the lakeside. definitely a place i would recommend.
The Tower officially closes at 7p.m. but that day it closed early due to problems with the elevator. I checked the website before getting there but the closure was not posted. So we walked around.Parking is free starting at 6p.m. It was a Wednesday and we found one open spot. You can see Presque isle from there and enjoy the view. Plenty of fishermen around.Inside the gift shop you will find bathrooms, snacks, maps, ATM machine and pay phone.
Insanely beautiful views. As expected pricy gift shop, midway prices for food and drink. Minus one star for not having the flavor shake I wanted and not caring. As of late this place is hopping busy at times, and it depends on you if that is good or bad.
We live in Pittsburgh we come up to fish here 3 to 4 times a year. Sometimes we spend a few days, sometimes we come just for the day.... Love it here.
Great views of Lake Erie. Looks of history posters at the top for you to read. Definitely worth a visit.
Great place to go if youre in the area
Great views of the lake and a place to unwind for a while. You can go up in the elevator to the observation deck for a few dollars. It is also relaxing watching the ships and boats sailing in the distance.
If you get the chance to get here, go up the tower and take in the view. The small shop at the base is a nice place to look around and learn new things as well.
Super friendly staff and place is kept very clean my family and I enjoyed the visit
It was nice to see a birds eye view of the bay. Would definitely do it again.
I was excited about eating here for lunch, but the food was less than stellar. The She Crab soup (not pictured) was the best thing we ordered. Crab cake/sauce was good. The fish was VERY bland despite appearing seasoned. The clam chowder and lobster roll were just ok. Definitely had much better. We felt like everything just needed more seasoning. Lunch plates were small (not much bigger than appetizer plates). $120 (with tip) for 4 people - No alcohol purchased. Just was not what I expected for the price. However, 3 stars because the wait staff was great and the location was perfect. I would not go back, simply because the food does not justify the cost.
Well worth the price of admission. Scenic view of the entire area, great photography opportunities up here.
Fun thing to do. 10.00 to ride elevator or free to walk up. Great work out.
Love those beautiful lights surrounded on towers. Its really amazing and impressive.
Nice spot to look out over the bay toward Presque Isle.
This place is an average tourist attraction site. Nothing great or significant stuff to see other than a nice strolling around or spending time near the waters. Parking seems to be free which is good. There is museum nearby which is good to visit as well. Hot dawg place inside the tower is average with limited choices. Overall not a bad place to spend some time.
This place refused access to their tower whatsoever without a mask including those with allowable and excusable medical conditions. Then they required medical documentation proving an illness. That is a violation of my privacy. Lost my business, now and in the future. Weve been there in the past you cant see much to begin with
Was closed and only open sat and sun for elevator access, pretty though...
What a view, always love coming back to my hometown because Erie has so much to offer.
Couldnt get in the tower when we went because of covid. Its a good fishing spot.
Wasnt able to go up because we didnt know they were only open on the weekends but it was a nice place.
Have loved going here since I was a little kid.
Beautiful view great place to take your friends family and the love of your life
Its really cool, gorgeous view!
Tower looked impressive but when we cam it was closed so we could not go up into the tower. Parking was free but you need to purchase tickets to go up into the tower.
Its right at the lake and is high enough to give a clear, beautiful view of downtown and marina. In summer, it stays open till 10 in night. If you are planning a visit, try to go late evening so that you can enjoy a clear view and then light as well.
Love the view obviously it’s the best but had family over from Lancaster and decided to get lunch at the little place there and let me say $13.00 For two chilli dogs and a pretzel that I could not eat I was very disappointed! The pretzel was terribly hard even after remade and the hot dogs were not cooked and rubber like consistency theY made smiths hot dogs look and taste terrible don’t even know how that’s possible. The place was a joke if you ask me sorry just my opinion I usually don’t do this just don’t want anyone making the same mistake and wasting money.
I love visiting the @Bicentennial Tower in Erie, Pennsylvania. Its a lovely setting overlooking the lake and City as well. For $4 you can take an elevator to the top which seems like quite a bargain. Its in a park like setting which is fun to walk around on a pier surrounded by water.
Not being a resident.. it was something new to see. As a photographer it allowed for different points of view...
Very good view. Worth the $5.00 to go to the top.
Amazing view. Great fishing spot.
Staff behind the glass was terribly rude. Insulting my family members. Will be reporting the rude behavior of the elderly nasty woman behind the glass to proper management.
Love the view from the top. Breeze off the lake makes it enjoyable. Visited here twice and always happy with the nice staff and cleanliness of the area.
Need a quick Smith hot dog fix? This is the place.
This Bicentennial Tower surprises me Everytime I see it. This first night I arrived to the Sheraton, I was greeted by this tower before I turned left to Sheraton. The color of the sky and the color of the lit tower compliment each other beautiful. I took the pic through my car windshield and the picture still turned out nice. Then the 2nd night of my stay, on President Trumps Birthday, it was lit up in Red White and Blue ️️. This tower has stairs to go to the top. The metal stairs are see thru; appropriate shoe wear is recommended... No high heels. The base of this tower is a gift shop/ice cream shop/restaurant - nothing fancy. There are stone like tables behind the tower with a beautiful view of the lake, Presque Isle State Park, etc... There are historic signs throughout the park. Plenty of parking including parking for the handicap/disable. History lovers will get a lot for value and meaning from this landmark than those who are not.
Awesome views of Erie!! Kids 6 and under are free.. definitely a must see while in Erie. Just dont get off the elevator on the second floor because there is no elevator reentry there.. then you will have to use the stairs
Cool place to visit and get a small view of the surrounding area and learn a bit about the lake
One of my favorite places to stop on bike rides. The cashier was a little slow, but the view at the top is definitely worth any wait. They have a shop with snacks (I personally enjoyed a vanilla milkshake.) Its never been crowded when Ive been there, but parking still looks limited for anyone driving.
Beautiful. Great location. Great way to see Lake Erie.
Great place to go and if you have time and money go up the tower it is a great opportunity to see more of Erie
Beautiful place, also a great place to go to, to think and/or just try and clear your head/thoughts!
It was a great price to get the view of lake Erie and downtown Erie
Great scenic spot to check out Lake Erie. Did not get to go all the way to the top, but the pier itself was still nice.
Beautiful scenery and very informative stops.
Always a gorgeous view of the bay and the lake. Not a bad place to stop in for a slushie
Little outdated but cheap thing to see, definitely worth the price to go up the elevator. I was a little upset that the stairs arent open, those need to be reopened.
Nice place to visit and the views were nice. The only thing was construction was going on and the tower was closed because of the coronavirus issues.
It was very beautiful fed the ducks bread
A perfect place for a drive in view.
Fun had a great time. We stopped for a bit and waved to people on the boat
Looks so good in sunny day. And Lake Erie so wonderful in front of Isle.
If and when you get the chance to see the Tall Ship Festival go. Not only is it fun but a learning experience.
Wish the public binoculars didnt cost money. I didnt brimg any with me
Beautiful tower providing a great view of the city and state park. A must see if youre visiting Erie, PA.
Free first Sundays are the best! While this is a cheap activity normally, the free first Sunday of the month cant be beat! You MUST check in at concessions to get a ticket and use the elevator in the lobby to get to the top but the lower observation deck is open without having to stop for a ticket.Theres lots to do around the tower, like mini-golf, the maritime museum and a few restaurants...as well as fishing off of the pier! The views are beautiful from the tower! And its full of informative plaques and signs! Great learning experience for young and old alike!
The view is beautiful!! Very peaceful and theres always a sail boat to watch.
It is a wonderful place to see the beauty of the Lake Erie bay and peninsula.
Honestly the view isn’t life changing, but it was very pretty. The atmosphere was nice and the gift shop had a lot of options. It was a good way to end date night.
I love walk around there
Great views! Beautiful day looking out over the bay. Here are pictures of the historical guide signs atop the tower.
Beautiful not busy. Its a good place to get stuff of your mind. If you enjoy sunsets. This is the spot to go. Lol.
Big tower, nice water, good view, good stuff.
Its a great thinking place and I love coming down when theres activities/. All photos taken by me some are canvas wrapped
My staff and I from club Erie West 12th street nicky and I had lunch at tower today
Amazing view from the top of the tower!
I hope you like heights and a expensive gift shop
Awesome view and kept pretty clean!
Nice sunny day to check out the water
Driving by and decided we wanted to check out Lake Erie. We have never been in the town of Erie, so we just randomly picked port Erie.Bicentennial tower is definitely worth the stop and it is an affordable visit. The tower provides a great view of the bay and the town.
Pleasant friendly people
It is a great site of the lake
Its a nice place to sit and relax.
Start your visit to Erie here! Or be a tourist in your own backyard. Nominal admission fee. Free day once a month. Great lake and city views. Catch amazing sunsets over Lake Erie here. Close to lively restaurants and Erie waterfront.
Fantastic view of Presque Isle Bay and Island. If using elevator it is $7.00 person and children under two are free. If using elevator go all the way to the top, if you get off on the second floor you will have to take the steps down. Able to get some great pictures of the view from the top of the tower.
Dont give up the ship!
Took my son here..we loved the place..would go again
Beautiful views and so much fun to watch the pirates in battle. Got T-shirts and post cards at a reasonable price. This can be great fun for everyone. So much to see.
Great views of the city.
Pretty cool place for boat rides and fishing
If you like a spectacular view then this is the place to go. Its an amazing view. Also there are signs posted all around the tower to read about Eries history which I found to be very interesting. So there is something for everyone.
Great View! Worth the visit for sure!
I checked it out but Im not paying 5$ a head to walk 210 stairs lol, Probably worth it to some people for the view but eh better things to spend your money on in Erie personally.
Person below me is big mad, the tower is litty
Great views!
Always a great time and good food.
It was most lovely down there
Can see everything
Great learning experience. Tou can go up the tower and see for miles. Inside and outside they have information on battles and even about the ship wrecks. The staff is pleasant inside the gift shop too.
Very cool place
Never went in...but was there
Great view of the bay
