We were initially quite confused at the location of the Erie Land Lighthouse given just how far inland this lighthouse was. Upon read the signage, thats when we realized that this was the 3rd tower built in this area with the previous 2 light towers both having been destroyed due to poor choice of land to construct the lighthouse upon. Regardless of the functionality of the actual lighthouse, there is a small children play area that looks like a blast for kids.
Cute and quiet. Loved all the signs telling the history of the place.
Very well kept. The grounds were nice too.
This lighthouse is located in/behind the park fenced in and cant be accessed. This little park is perfect for the community. It is located along the water surrounded by homes. If you stand with the park behind you, you might see the top of the Hammermill Three Sister Stacks peeking out from above the trees. I circled the area to find a spot where I saw it in between the trees.
A beautiful small park, well maintained exterior. We plan to visit again during regular business hours
Nice place. It was pretty abandoned which is nice but you dont know if you are going to the right place. You have to park on the street and the park next to it has some graffiti but is otherwise pretty nice if not a little work. FYI you can see the lake from here but not well and there is no access to it.
Very nice place to see. There is a picnic table there so you can always have a little lunch & a playground on the outside of the fence for the little ones to play at.
Great place to see the lighthouse and see a great view of Lake Erie. And a place to bring your children to play at the park and great to bring your dog.
Beautiful views. Unfortunately the lighthouse was closed, even so the trip was worth it.
Very nice, quiet and a place for a picnic.
Dead fish in water but very peaceful place...
Very cool lighthouse.
Nice place to visit
Always beautiful.
Not much to see here, good views of lake though. Beach 2 min away, and restuarant.
History an a place to enjoy nature
Not all that interesting. Cant even see the water from the lighthouse. Needs some landscaping done. Be careful getting there as you go through a less than desirable neighborhood to get there. Been to many lighthouses...this one is the most memorable........in the worst way.
Nice Erie land mark.
Very nice to have a party
They were closed when I got there but nice view and plain on going back soon
Part of my growing up .my tt Kathy used to take me here .I sure do miss her
Stopped by the lighthouse, well because its lighthouse. From the outside it looks to be beautifully restored. They have several signs that describe the area and the history of the lighthouse. Would have been nice to go up to the top however they only open during certain times, you will want to check the website. Also would be good to have some information about the house next door, which looks to be the light keepers residence.
Nive place to have some views and see the history.
Nice place to visit
Is privately owned so no opportunity to see it
Cute little lighthouse
The lighthouse has been restored beautifully. We were not sure if the home next to the lighthouse was part of the park or not. It could use some better signage to clarify. We walked around the lighthouse and read the plaque. It was not open at the time. The actual lighthouse was worth stopping in and checking it out if you love lighthouses.
Play ground at the lighthouse. Parking was poor
If youre into lighthouses its good to take a look at it, but not a place you can tour ..
We saw all three lighthouses in the Erie area today. Even though it is out of season for entering them we were able to walk around and get some pictures. They are beautiful structures with lots of history. Cant wait to come back in the warmer months.

Could use some trees, but its a lovely monument and park on the cliff over water. Worth a quick visit and look around.
The care taker was really friendly. Told us about the light was not on til about 1980. Some of the stone needing replaced, where it came from.Talked about the other light houses we have in Erie.Very friendly man.
Beautiful highly recommended
Great park, great views of lake, channel and Perry monumentvpark.
The doors are locked. Theres not much to see.
Beautiful view.
Beautiful spot
The lighthouse isnt open the public, but the playground is nice.
Love the beach and dunes with drift wood and smooth rocks. The lighthouse was also very cool.
Great atmosphere. Beautiful lighthouse. Awesome view of Lake Erie. Nice playground and licnic pavilion.ocated in quiet residential neighborhood.
The walk was very nice a little bit too much Siegel poo poo on the walkway but youll have that if you want to see the wildlife
Cool little lighthouse tucked in the back of a neighborhood.
Museum wasnt open when we went .... so we just wandered around outside the lighthouse .... interesting history.
I was in my boat 5 miles out from lighthouse . Awesome building.
Beautiful lighthouse. It is very rarely open to the public; research and planning required to find opportunity to go inside/up.
The history of this place is amazing and to know its in my home town is unbelievable
Beautiful setting and historical structure. Unfortunately the city has locked the doors to visitors
Its a nice little quiet historic place
We go every year ...very nice
I love lighthouses, this is a beautiful structure!
What a great park
Interesting point in history of being the first light house on the great lakes and only takes a few minutes to see.
Was visiting my hometown and discovered a lighthouse I never knew was there. I knew we had 3, but never knew where the 3rd one was located. It is at the foot of Lighthouse Street. Its good for biking to. It overlooks Lake Erie.
Free parking, easy to get to. Nice view, but cant go into the lighthouse.
Very nicd
Took our own tour of Lighrhouses Along the Seaway Trail West of Rochester NY . This lighthouse does not have tours or even open, it is just a historic building with informational signs outside. It is still a nice place to go since Lighthouse park is next to it.
Nice lighthouse to visit, it provides history and information.
Cute park with a view of Lake Erie.
Beautiful place
Thrilled to death we got a cool private tour clear to the top... awesome
Feels a bit like youre in someones yard visiting here, its a bit remote. However, the picnic area is quite nice and it sits right by the water which is relaxing.
Its a great place to go to
Public spot and the area is open year round, but the lighthouse is not open at all. You can only see the exterior. Still an interesting story about the lighthouse.
Wish we can go in
Very nice place to visit
Beautiful
Great people running it. But make sure its open if you want to see the inside.
Quite nice and clean
Unique and learning all about the heritage and history behind the Erie lighthouses.
Great view from the top.
Beautiful!!! Good fishing!!
