Decent bunch of beginner trails. Seem well taken care of. Seems like a nice area but it also seems like someone dropped woods in the middle of suburbia. Lots of homes adjacent to trails, you can hear all manner of happening with those homes...including lawn and house work. Its just not as peaceful and away from things as id like. Seems like some other things to do but I just come to walk the trails with my 3 y/o son. Its an okay place.

Peaceful. Lots of trails that lead to trails. Woods part great exercise and markers. Planked paths great for those that cant handle walking on rocks and trees

Beautiful & easy hiking trails. Good place for a walk with any ages except maybe pushing a stroller. Woods, ponds, meadow, & a butterfly garden. Nature center closed due to Covid so we missed educational information

Very clean place. Can spend an evening with family. Good place for hiking. The trails are very net and marked.

We use the word walkway. 1 lap is about a quarter mile. 2 laps this morning. Goal is 4 laps by end of August. Nice and shady. Enjoy the peace and natural surroundings. Recommend it for everyone.

Hiked from the Nature Center to Browns Farm, a great trail!

Fun nature trails and nature center. We took the kids for a walk. We saw wildlife and found a geocache and painted rocks . It was a blast

Beautiful park with really good facilities. Very good handicap accessibility as well. Definitely go here if you like nature and are in the area.

Natural area, beautiful hiking paths where you often encounter wildlife. Nature center is very nice. Did the Boy Scout Compass Course. Its nice to have one local. A few points could be better placed, but the boys had fun! The boardwalk is very slippery when snow covered, so be prepared for that!

Great 15+ Mile trail run. Several meandering loops of Nature Center side and up to Browns Farm. Fun in the muck and rain. I love this place!

We love this place...however some activities are too expensive when you have a bigger family, even with the members discount. Some of our friends won’t go with us bc of this issue. Well maintained though. We love the bees, new boardwalk, snowshoeing, and music in the woods! Hopeful for a more contemporary singer/songwriter or 2 on this summer’ line up.

Have always loved Asbury Wood. The center is beautiful and always has some activity happening. Classes are helpful and informative. Staff is super wonderful. A true gem of Erie County!

It is an extraordinarily well maintained public park and green space, with engaging and robust programs and activities being offered. The facilities are modern yet appropriate to the natural surroundings. Numerous short trails originate from the nature center and variously interlink. There are also numerous nearby trails in the surrounding wooded areas.I have been a visitor to Asbury Woods since early childhood and I have watched numerous and remarkable changes and improvements to park and facilities. As long as I live in this region I will continue to visit this beautiful and enriching local treasure.

This is one of my favorite places in erie to take my dogs. Everyone you encounter is happy and friendly. It is well maintained and the dogs always have a blast whenever we go. I think the best part is how happy everyone you meet is.

Asbury woods has a number of family friendly events. It is a great community resource.

They recently added a board walk near their main entrance that is extensive and goes into the forest. A great place to hike. Snow shoes are 7 dollars an hour.

Trails marked well at trailheadHas some heavily wooded area that is more secluded and more isolated than at presque isle or frontier park.Around the trails are picnic areas playgrounds basketball courtsMake add sure to wear sturdy shoes as paths dirt and can get muddy after rains.Can bring your dog on a lease they love it out there.Recomend for quiet contemplative walk or a trail run where you can decompress and not worry about traffic. Just watch your footing on paths

Nothing more impressive than an old growth forest

Time to escape the busy city life, and get back to nature...take the time to visit here in the woods and listen to relax,and enjoy quiet times with the birds, bees, rabbits, squirrels. Smell the fresh air, and enjoying being a kid again. Stop at the gift shop and buy home made honey from the bees. watch the ant farm and see if the queen bee is doing her duties. Relive a little bit of nature and know that saving the earth, recycle, going green is the way to save this little piece of heaven on earth. Be Kind.

It was perfect for a group outing! The boardwalks were closed this day a d the group we had is with the Barber Day Prgram and they had to miss that part. Otherwise it was a great day. We ate lunch on the other side, at the pavilion.

Cute little nature reserve, great for an afternoon stroll through the woods. Have seen birthday parties here before which its a great spot for considering its beautiful in the summer with a really nice pavilion. Could use a little upkeep on the trail and maybe more animals to see inside.

This place is beautiful? I would have given 5 stars but they had the boardwalk path closed.

Finnegans birthday party was so much fun! My 2 1/2 year old enjoyed checking out all the creatures and participating in the free activities. We even went for a walk on the boardwalk after. We love this place and will be visiting often for more events in the future.

This is probably a nice park in the summer, but right now it was kind of muddy and there were no bags for dog poop or maps. We only did a small part of the park as we had no trail map and did not want to get lost. Our dog sure loved her walk. There are some parking spots and they are free. This park is quite visible from Sterrettania Road.

We hiked two trails - a longer one near the farm that went along the creek and over some bridges, and a short, stroller friendly one near the education center - and both were beautiful and well maintained. My family also loved the education center. My son especially enjoyed getting to see the bees in their hive and spotting the animals. Its a great place, and well definitely be back!

Easy trails through woods. Many birds, tall trees and beautiful shrubs. Lots of outdoor activities year round. Great educational programs for all ages. Outdoor pavilion.

So nice to let the kids run around in the woods, they really enjoyed being outdoors here.

This was the first time I went into the nature center. We usually stick to the trails and playground areas. There are some really neat animals inside the nature center, both live and taxidermied. The folks inside were kind and helpful. Id love to go back when they have scheduled activities to see what they are like. We picked up a brochure about summer camps while there also. There were quite a few to choose from for many different age groups and outdoor interests. Weve not done summer camps so I dont know how competitive their prices are to other summer camp programs. We will definitely visit again.

This is a beautiful, kind of hidden gem in Erie. There are lots of trails in the woods. There are also some events and exhibits periodically.

They have well maintained, clearly marked and enjoyable trails. I usually see at least one deer every time I jog to browns farm. Other then a few houses that can be seen its almost impossible to know youre in the middle of Millcreek, which for those who dont like to unplug allows great cell service.

Great trails but the trail map needs a lil work, itd help if the #s posted along the trail corresponded to locations on the map.... Besides that the trails could be cleaned up and the dead trees removed.

This was the first time I visited Asbury Woods and I was very impressed! Its a very quaint area where I sat and watched a free concert. It is surrounded by very tall trees and you can walk along the trail. I cant wait to go back!

Always beautiful and will be better yet when the new boardwalk is all finished!

Great place to go and hike through some trails. Go into the nature center and learn about the different wildlife of NWPA.

Relaxing place for a good nature walk. They have fun special events. They had a maple thing we went to. It was a lot of fun. Recently we went to a honey thing and learned a lot about bees and different types of honey. Pretty cool!

There are many animals to see inside the nature center, and the Behrend House is beautifully preserved. They have a brand new outdoor area that leads to the trails, and the greenway trail across the street is worth a hike.

Great hiking trails. There are a lot of trails to choose from. Took our 10 and 11 year olds for their first lengthy hike and everyone enjoyed it. The trails provide some beautiful views. We spent around 3 hours there, including a picnic lunch.

Asbury Woods is a magical place for both children and adults, alike. Hiking from the Browns Farm parking lot down to buttermilk falls (which is basically a mini waterfall in Erie) is a really fun experience and a super light hike that just about anyone can accomplish. Asbury Woods also offers a really fun day camp during the summer and tons of other really fun activities year-round. Their Halloween hay ride + walk in the woods is the perfect fall activity for the little ones. My family and I really love this place.

Great for children and adults. The building with the vegetation growing on the roof is cool. The honey bee habitat is very cool.

Absolutely a go to destination. One of my favorite places to go, especially in the summer but also all year round. The staff is fabulous, the classes are awesome, great trails & dont forget all the amazing events!

Ahhh my favorite place for a quiet but rejuvenating hike. Beautiful and well maintained trails with accurate description of difficulty available. A bit of a drive for me so I dont frequent as often as Id like but I manage at least once a month when weather is nice.

Asbury Woods is a great place for kids, or people who just love outdoors. Featuring trails, mini streams, lots of trees and a variety of activities inside the main building. Hiking the trails is free and there is tons of scenery. Make sure you bring bug sprat if you come!

Its a little slice of heaven. A place to lose and find yourself surrounded by natures beauty.

The walking paths are nice, and the kids camps offered are great. My three children had a wonderful time!

Awesome to visit or have picnics, if you want to just walk the trails or rent one of the pavilions. You can also rent the barn for almost any occasion, alcohol not permitted. My family has rented the barn for numerous occasions. Various sport fields are available, bring your own equipment. Bug spray is a must at dusk, mosquitos will eat you alive.

Top notch beautiful peaceful place nice walking trails ok to bring kids to play or learn about nature.
