Nice little park that closes at dusk. We walked the loop trail with the kids. Clean bathrooms and nice calm view. We will be back for a longer visit.

Neat place, we went there to launch the kayaks and found out there wasn’t much of a launching area but carried them down and had a great time fishing. We didn’t catch anything but a couple who was also there fishing from the shore caught two bass. Walking trail around the lake looked really nice and will want to do that someday. It wasn’t too busy when we went on Halloween but still a significant amount of people enjoying the park. Lots of picnic tables and the scenery is top notch, love how close to town it is.

Drove in to take a look today. There was maybe 6 cars in the parking lot. When I drove past on 8/8/20, cars were lined up on the street for a quarter of a mile in either direction. The parking lot was full. So I had to come back to check it out. The lake looks amazing. Green grass to lounge on. Looks like a great place to enjoy with the family. Bring your floaties, youre in for alot of fun.

A beautiful little park surrounding Deep Lake. There are plenty of picnic tables spread around the lake but you will need to get there early on sunny weekend days in order to grab one. The park is dog friendly and there’s a path around the lake to walk along. A lot of people bring pool floats, paddle boards, and kayaks to enjoy the water. The day we went it got a bit crowded by noon so we decided to leave. I would recommend walking further around the lake to find a quiet picnic table away from the main crowds.

Amazing place to walk, run, bike, and swim! Trail runs all the way around the lake. Plenty of trees and scenery, I have only been here once and it seemed pretty busy. Im sorry I didnt post as many pictures as I normally do per site, most of the other pictures are of my girlfriend in the scenery.

Nice walking path around the lake, numerous areas to picnic, a roped swim area, and a couple of places to launch kayaks or small, portable boats or rafts in the lake. Not suitable for just wading, as the water depth increases very sharply, but a fun place to swim or float and cool off on a warm day and enjoy a picnic lakeside. Toilet facilities, though small, are clean and sufficient. There are picnic tables, and some covered shelters there, as well. Come in the morning during nice, summer weather, as this is a popular park and the parking lot starts to fill up.

This park seems to be broken into 3 crowds. 1) people there fishing the docks and banks. 2) people walking the mile long trail around the lake. The walk is fun but as a 6 tall guy I thought the branches were a little low hanging at spots. 3) Beach/picnic goers. For myself, I caught my personal best trout while fishing here (14 stocked rainbow trout).However, the fishing is highly pressured here, and I would recommend going here early spring to early summer. Just make sure to get there in the early morning to claim your spot as room for fishing is limited.

Great place to escape on a weekday and get away from all the news, chatter, and stress. All I need is my dog, some coffee, and some fresh air...

Beautiful, well maintained park and small lake. Some people fishing when I visited. Several picnic tables and charcoal grills set up for public use as well as a gazebo area. Nice trail around the lake, easy to follow and flat. Need a Discovery Pass or pay to park at the gate!

Great park nearby, fast access, pretty clean and well maintained. Super clean bathrooms! Friendly people as well as, the staff! For me is like a giant pool. Love going over there!

Lovely place for family activities and small group gatherings. 1.4 mile long trail around the lake is kid friendly and not muddy. Nice playground for kids. But beware: Deep Lake is deep, and some parts of the beach are slippery, so watch out for kids, or they can get wet in no time!

This is always a great place to take the dog. It is also great to fish here. I like that the restrooms have always been clean whenever Ive used them. The park is very well maintained.

Excellent place for a picnic. There is a nice trail to explore the park. Nice beach and a good place for water adventure as well. Lot of parking space available, but can be crowded during week ends.

Has a nice 1.4 mile walk around lake. Definetly need to spend whole day and use water to be worth it. Seems to have decent space for amount of people there.

I give it four stars because the beach was rocking an kinda steep to get to the water other wise this is one of the best parks has everything plenty of room fire pits a trail going around the lake thats a mile and half. Definitely will be going back. Oh and it was ten bucks for the day.

Super simple, but peaceful 1.5 mile walk around deep lake. It was relaxing and made me want to come back to fish or kayak. Only thing that would make it better would be more trails.

No lifeguards so swim at your own risk, but the kids always have fun. Nice walking trails. Lots of space to lay out your towels or blankets.

I miss the turn every. time.Its not as ghetto as auburn which is nice. We had a birthday party here recently and it was great to let the kids run around.I just LOVE when we get the plastered horse. Dont you?? We found a great spot to tie it up in a tree around its neck. Several of the kids did a scavenger hunt in the woods to see who could find the largest stick. My son got a good one with lots of little spikes on it. We then took turns beating the snot out of the horse. One little guy just starting gnawing on its foot, we had to pull him off hah! The other park goers were jealous and taking lots of pictures, I offered them to take a turn but they kept their social distance when I approached, probably for the best. I was really hungry.

Fall colors are alive and popping here this time of year. The easy 1.4 Mike hike in the sun was fantastic.

Great time with my 7 year old grandson today. He played on the playground equipment for a while and then we walked around the lake. I enjoyed taking photos of things as we walked.

This park is a hidden gem! We went in mid June and there was hardly anyone there! Plenty of open space and picnic tables and the water is wonderful to swim in! The trail around the lake is about a mile and a half, flat and perfect for a hiker of any experience level. I’m not sure if it gets busier throughout the summer but this is a great spot if you want to swim and not be bombarded by people. Definitely going to visit this beautiful lark again!

This is the best park in our area! A walking trail, a fishing dock, a play area for the kids, plenty of picnic tables and a small swimming area. Please, buy the park pass and park inside. Parking on the main road is dangerous for you and people driving in the area.

Nolte State Park, or Deep lake has been a pleasent and cherished park by locals for generations. Its well maintained, has boat access, fishing, swimming, and picnicing availability. It can easily be entered using a discovery pass or parking on the street nearby. Would highly recomend visiting some sunny afternoon if youve never been.

Nice little park that seems well maintained. The walking trail is easy for all skill levels and has a nice view all the way around. I saw a turtle!

There is a nice mile and a half walk around the lake, watch where you step though, a bit overrun by dogs and their 2 legged friends who often do not clean up.

I like this lake its big enough to have a good sized wedding or just a really big party . it does have public restrooms and a covered area, because we live washington and thats a plus, also has a big toy for the kids. The is beautiful might i add . so go ahead have a great time .

Hidden gem. This is a great place to walk a dog, walk a kid or even a grand parent. Add in a visit to Black Diamond Bakery and it’s a Saturday morning winner.

Great place to go, love the lake for fishing and Im really hot days to take a dip and if you go there early you can take your lab whos obsessed with swimming and take a swim!You can walk around the lake fully around the lake watch Paragon falcons fish better than you mostly.But its really busy on a really hot day so I like to go on the down time.Did I mention that I live a mile away down the road so its probably one of my favorite lakes you should come see!

Love it! Beach not super sandy, more rocky-water shoes or sandals recommended. Steep entry, but still had fun and my toddler loved playing in the rocks while the big kids swam and went out on tubes and paddle boards.Not too far of a walk from parking lot.Trail around the lake is great too with the whole family.

Nolte State Park is a very nice good park to go to.Deep Lake is in the park a very big lake of water.The park trails are easy to walk on.

This was a beautiful place to spend Easter Sunday with my family! It was not crowded, and we had plenty of space to play with the kiddos and have them hunt for the eggs. The lake is bigger than I was expecting, and it has a big, well-maintained hiking trail which encircles the entire lake. We also had fun down on the nice dock, sailing a wooden sail boat toy. This area is very Serene and peaceful with all the birds tweeting up in the large, magnificent trees.

Great family park. A loop trail around the lake and childrens play area made this a great destination for the family. While the trail around the lake can be done with a stroller, its quite steep in places and soft ground. A jogger with pneumatic tires highly recommended.

LOVE LOVE LOVE. This is one of our favs. Beautiful grassy areas, beach, picnic tables, bbqs, nice restrooms, walking trail around lake and a playground. Water temp is perfect during late Spring and Summer and even on the busiest of hot days its never too crowded and always pleasant.

Even on a rainy day this is a great park!

Very nice park. Gravel path with lots of shade. Seating includes picnic areas and benches. Saw people canoeing, fishing and swimming. It also has a play area and canopy with views of the lake.

Nice little lake, lots of people were there having fun the sunny day I went. Kayak fished the lake with little luck, no bites, fish were surfacing though toward evening.

It is a fun, pretty lake. It has a grassy area with a boat launch (no motorized boats), bathrooms, picnic tables, BBQs, and a swim area. There is a path that goes around the lake. There are many places you can set up next to the lake all around it. Dogs on leashes allowed!

I walk the trail here regularly. Fall is quite lovely.
