Staff was friendly, and the outdoor seating area was setup very well. This place has grown and expanded very nicely over the last few years. Lots of fire places.The wines cover a very broad range of flavors. The 15 tasting was perfect for us and the 6 for the in laws.With winter approaching it would be nice if they put up some type if wind blocker on the outdoor seating.Great place!!

Had my first visit at Sugar Ridge today! It was awesome! Can’t wait to come back for another girls day or date night with my other half! Atmosphere & servers were amazing! Today we did the tasting & I found a lot of wines I liked! One even came home with me!

Ive been here twice, 6 years apart. When I first went it was wonderful, the owner served us our wine, and the atmosphere and little store were amazing. I went again this past weekend. The atmosphere has changed due to CoVid, but it continues to be AMAZING. Its a great little place for date night. This time I got the cheese plate and the flatbread. The food was great. I also got a flight of wine, and Im sad to say I didnt like any of them. This is all just personal taste. But if you like a sweeter wine or just want to take a little date night, this place is a must.

Cons: They had very sweet wine, but that is what they are aiming for. Sadly, I didn’t like any of the whites or reds.Pros: It was a great day to sit on the porch near the fireplace. They had a lovely set up inside or outside so you could find the perfect spot to sit and drink wine.

Great soup atmosphere and setting. Wine was wonderful. Will visit again.

The winery is beautiful and they have a very nice area to enjoy wine. They have several wines to sample and you get to keep the wine glass. If you are someone that drinks wine often, especially fine wines, you may be unimpressed with the wines. This is the first winery that Ive dumped a wine sample instead of drinking it.

Been having a membership here for years and just absolutely love this place! Love the people, love the wine, love the ambiance and theyve done a great job remodeling.

Its a nice welcoming place to have a glass of wine if you are around. I wouldnt just go for it.

Clean, beautiful establishment with nice outdoor seating and wonderful wine. Offer cheeses and summer sausage to eat while you sit. Clean restrooms and nice atmosphere.

So many great things going on here. The staff are friendly and helpful, the wines are unique with a good variety that everyone can find something they like. Theyre expanding their tasting room currently to make it even better!

Unique wines unlike standard wines. Chianti cranberry and Merlot blackberry were more like fruit juice than wine, which might be great for a chilled porch drink but do not expect them to taste like a Chianti or Merlot. Nice people and a patio for enjoying the outside.

We LOVED this place. Definitely not Napa Valley but thats what we loved about it. Very down home friendly and kid friendly. If you like a sweet wine, their Papas peach is DA BOMB!!! Spend some time hearing their story. Great side trip on your way from south Texas to North Texas! Right on the Bluebonnet trail in Ennis, TX.

This winery was more of a juice bar. All the wines were too sweet with odd flavors. Oddly enough they do sell juice which makes me think maybe they were pouring the juice for the tasting. Great ambiance, friendly staff but horrible wine. I went with a group of friends and we left to go home and drink far superior wine- the two buck chuck from Trader Joes. Save your pennies on this one folks.

This is a great little winery with a great short drive from the Dallas area to get there. Especially during bluebonnet season, but Id recommend it anytime. Everyone is very nice and the wine is great!! Not your average wine, but something for everyone!

Quaint little winery tucked into the back country. Kid/family friendly with food and drink for all ages. They have a playground for the kids and lounge chairs for the adults. Plenty of wines and juices to pick from.

Their wine is always good and the staff is always very friendly.

I called and asked to speak to a manager about PURCHASING a large quantity of wine for our wine fest fundraiser for the animal shelter I work for. I said hi Im the director of Rita b Huff animal shelter. SHE CUT ME OFF SAID SHE WAS BUSY COULDNT TALK TO ME AND HUNG UP!!!! I cant believe how I was treated before I even got to tell her what I was calling about she refused to talk to me. Thats extremely bad business we had an event of 300 people.

Why a 2 star...they are never open when they say they are. We drove out there 3 times, on different occasions, during the time they said they were open on the Website. The gate was locked and no one answered the phone when we tried to call when we got there. Frustrating!!! We had Thanksgiving early and was looking forward to getting some wine from them. Unfortunately they kind of spoiled it for me and my 15 guests. Guess Ill have to find another winery.

Liked 7 of the 10 wines they had available. And, bought a bottle of each! Not impressed with most Texas wines but was with these. Dont expect California style wines though.

Excellent peach Chardonnay and the merlot was hit the spot. Theres a couple of mixes they offer and he mixes well
