Such an awesome past time. Loved all the exhibits! It’s so awesome to see the history of our great state being shown and represented in such an impeccable manner. Loved every bit of this place! If you haven’t gone, I recommend going and checking this place out! Definitely 11 out of 10!
A friend and I visited the museum today, Oct. 18, 2019, and it was a great experience. The building and exhibits are classy, well-maintained, and informative. The bathrooms are easy to access and well-cared for and stocked. The outside village is beautiful and easy to follow. The grounds and buildings are kept clean and well-preserved. The gift shop is very cute and easy to access. The entry fee is affordable. The staff are friendly and helpful and attentive. We had a wonderful experience!
Really wonderful museum about the original white settlement of the Strip through the 93 Land Run and the subsequent history of the area and Enid specifically. The settler village is also a highlight and contains the only remaining former Land Office in the state. The staff are wonderful and very knowledgeable. Definitely a must if youre in town and are into history
An interesting museum detailing information about land runs in north central Oklahoma, the oil & gas industry, Phillips University, and the city of Enid. The inside of this building looks brand new and most of the staff were pleasant to speak with. The only thing we missed out on was the Humphrey Heritage Village.
VERY RECOMMENDED IF PASSING THROUGH ENID. We’ve been to this museum several times since moving to the area, and I would go again. It’s set up in a logical sequence, explaining the Land Run and giving interesting historical facts about the area. The staff was EXTREMELY friendly and provided us with a very fun and interactive experience. Getting to tour the older buildings on the property was informative and interesting. We always take our visiting family and friends, as it helps them learn about Enid and Oklahoma history. The gift shop also has a good souvenir variety. Look forward to going again.
5 star educational place to visit with your family. We had a wonderful very knowledgeable tour guide. Enjoyed our visit very much.
Was assumed. Had a great time with my family there. Very educational.
Very good information
This place took a great deal of effort on the part of the citizens and the city to get built. There are two parts to it. One part is the Cherokee strip Museum, which is an up-to-date Museum detailing the history of Enid and the surrounding Community. The other part is the Humphrey Heritage Village, which has a series of restored old buildings dating from the time when this part of Oklahoma was first opened up for settlement. It is a great place to visit, and very friendly for kids.
The focus is on the famous Land Run for early settlers to the Oklahoma Territories. Very knowledgeable staff, can either have a guided tour or simply wander throughout the museum on your own. Exhibits both inside and out. Special exhibits include Vance Air Force Base history and Randolph College history.
Very welcoming experience everything enjoyable
Great museum, very interesting and very nice people working there! Thank you from Germany!
Great place to check out! The staff are wonderful and the events are always fun for all ages. I come here every chance I get for their new exhibits and events. My daughters love it. The gift shop has some nice replicas and a few made in Oklahoma treasures. They even do classes in the old school for elementary schools.
Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center is a great place to take your family and/or class on a trip. There is so much to learn with original buildings to look at. It is like you are taking a trip back in time with the amazing role players. I am going to give Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center a 5-5
The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They will tell you as much or as little about any particular exhibit that they have. The landrun and oil & gas history included interactive media that gives perspective from people from the day. There was also some incredible, authentic items from everyday life that are rarely seen today. You really need 3 hours to see everything. I paid the maximum admission fee ($6) and definitely got my monies worth. Great place for history buffs or people wanting to know about the early days of Oklahoma and specifically Enid, Oklahoma.
My grandbabies & I loved it! A Miss Cathy came out & gave us a personal, very informative tour of all the historical buildings & taught the kids how to play hoops & sticks.
Nice place to visit. The museum is clean well kept and interesting view yes
Very cool having this museum right here in Enid! Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Great place to take the family or a solo trip.
Loved the old school and church buildings
Great museum for a town this size. Definitely would recommend visiting once if you want something different to do, or would enjoy learning the history of the area.
My daughter loved this place.
This museum is full of Amazing northwest Oklahoma history.
A first class museum that gives visitors a great insight into the history of the Cherokee Strip. I encourage anyone near the End Oklahoma area to take the time and visit.
Took the tour. Good times
An excellent display of the largest land run in American history
Very informative. Smithonian quality, but much more personalized. Small shop. Outdoor tour after 1pm.
