Beautiful maintained park with boardwalk along water. Employees where very helpful
My daughter and I decided to visit this park while we were in the area. We were on an adventure to find something to take photos of. The visitors center wasnt open the day we went, which was a little disappointing, but I felt the park was still deserving of 4 stars, due to the beauty of the park. There are many trails, and the trail with the walkway has a beautiful view of the water. Luckily there were some locals there that let us know which trail to take, to see the water view. While we were there, very seen a turtle, some really cool looking gold colored iguanas, and a rat. We hope to visit again, when its not so extremely hot.
This is mostly a nature preserve. There are several miles of hiking trails. Some trails lead to Lemon Bay for fishing, vistas, and kayak launch. There are many benches along the trails, less than 5 minutes apart. There are also several picnic tables. The Nature Center is closed for remodeling. The trails were well used in the early afternoon in February.
Never know what you may see in this great park. Love that the trail is marked for the Two mile hike/jog/walk. The Kayak launch is very convenient as well. Keep your eye on the website for the many programs they hold in the pavilion and environmental center. This can also be reserved for your special occasion or group meetings!
Great walking trails. Clean restrooms. Nice place for a sunday walk
One of the few places left that has a shoreline that is accessible to the public
Excellent little park and trail. Two mile loop through the forest and a half mile loop through the mangroves. Really beautiful, lots of varied plant and animal life. A bald eagle habitat in the middle of the northern (2 mile) loop. Highly recommended.
Beautiful, peaceful place to meditate, and observe.
Lovely park with nice walking paths.
Great place for a walk. It was hot, hot, hot, but we enjoyed it
Took a group of 6 and 7 year olds for a hike. Love the short paths but also a longer one available. It was perfect for the girls to see wildlife and plant life. We saw woodpeckers, holes from fiddler grabs, turtles, mangrove trees, other plant life and poison ivy(off the path but good lesson to show girls what not to touch). All the girls cant wait to go back! Also nice pavilions and clean bathrooms.
Good walk through the stub side 2.1 and of course a nice stroll along the intercostal
Really cool park if your outdoorsy. They dont have a playground. But they do have picnic tables. Its a huge park. You can have a large party. And they also have trails to go on hikes! Kayak water access. They also have a free forest school for toddlers and small children.
Cute little park!
We had a blast we went through the trails walking down to the water they have a boat launch they have picnic tables they have animals who saw an iguana fiddler crabs needlefish we saw a couple manatees playing you can see like Manasota keys and stuff straight across if you had a kayak for fishing and stuff lot of fun
Nice place for a walk
The park was a nice place for walking and enjoying nature..learning the names of plants...butterflies, etc. In addition I enjoyed the boardwalks over looking the Intercoastal Waterway.
We saw a gofer tortoise and a bald eagle among the wildlife on our 2.7 mile leisurely walk. It was very peaceful and quiet and the people we encountered were friendly and helpful with spotting wildlife or explaining the terrain.
Our dog had great fun in the Bay trying to catch jumping fish. Nice Park for a walk.
A great place to take a long walk and see the natural environment. There is also a bay trail that goes along the water where you can see fish and even dolphins.
Went on a field trip with a school. What I learned was very informative. If you never been there I recommend there at least once.
Very nice nature trails. Has a bathroom.
Great place to walk along the water and into the wooded areas, trails are well maintained and marked.

Nice walking trails, amenities and a great way to see Lemon Bay.
Beautiful place to walk or jog. I brought my dog we had a great time. There were benches to sit along the way. Nature was in full bloom.
This was closed for the holiday when we arrived but we were able to hike the wide trail and view the gardens. Would love to come back and see some of the interpretive exhibits.
GREAT PLACE TO WALK AND VIEW THE WILDLIFE.
Lots of critters and fish. Bring mosquito repellent near dusk. Stop by mango cafe after hiking for smoothies.
Great park with trails
Been here with my love
Serene place to reflect and enjoy nature.
Great place to walk!
The best kept secret around this area, well maybe not, but its an easy awesome venture anyone can enjoy with plenty of free parking and easy access. Enjoy.
Great place to walk with or without your pet.
Beautiful park with great walking trails along Lemon Bay.
Nice place to walk or have a picnic
Loved fishing Thier
Nice park with lots of native wildlife!
Love the beauty out there.
Post trail maps
Beautiful and serene. Nice place to walk.
To much Construction going on.
Nice little area with a bunch of picnic tables however unfortunately they have all of the trees in the way of being able to see the water and any decent part of the bay which is really annoying even the bird watching Pier that they have close to the picnic tables is covered with overgrown bushes making it hard to see. We went to the local pasty shop and got some pasties about 2 miles away and then showed up at this park unfortunately there were some people riding scooters in the nature trail area which was a bit uncomfortable that they dont have a way to block the scooters from having access to the nature trail walks but it was still pleasantly peaceful I just wish people would pick up after their pets when they walk them.
My wife and I try to walk here 2 or 3 times a week. Relaxing, comfortable well cared for. Ideal for non-rough-terrain people like us.
What a beautiful, peaceful place to walk and enjoy the beautiful outdoors! My husband and I are spending the month of February in Englewood. We love the town and we especially love our daily walks in this beautiful park! Sometimes we walk twice a day because we love it so much. Its dog friendly too which is an added bonus.

Well kept and easy walking. Saw big sharks in the bay where kayaking and canoeing is allowed!!! Lots of signs about the wildlife and native plants.
Great place to bring kids and watch fire works.
Great walking spot
Love this place, always have since the day it opened. Very peaceful place with beautiful scenery. Just have to go at the right time or you may just see a cross dresser and some bums with addictions. Other than that it is a beautiful place.
Nice simple walk by the water. Very easy still with good scenery.
Great place
Lots of eye candy.
Love this park Clean and safe, also bathrooms in the main building for visitors use.Water fountains, and a few picnic areas right at the Lemon Bay waterline. The gravel trails are the best part for me. Clean and wellkept too!Ive seen a good few Owls and bunnies here.

A pleasant park by the water. There are walking trails with a butterfly garden and assorted labeled plants. Mind the gopher turtles!

Such a great place!
This is anlovely place to explore having a short path along the Way and a much longer internal Trailway through the scrub. Lots of benches and picnic tables.
Great place to take a long quiet walk.
A gorgeous park with tons of vegetation, bridges that go out over water, and a huge variety to wildlife. This park is also very well taken care of. I have been walking through it 1-3x a week for almost a year and have yet to see one piece of trash!
Take a stroll on the wild side! Small Park but lots, of gopher tortoises and bob cats walk quietly and look closely. Put your Kayak in and paddle up to Stump Pass beach.
A true Old Florida location. Was showing property in the area and happened across it. If you are in the area its worth a slight detour. Nice bridges out to the water with spectacular vistas. Love it!
PeacefulTrails for walking
Love lemon bay, by my moms house
Nice quiet place on a lazy Friday afternoon.
Beautiful sunsets!
Just made a quick pass through the parking area and a short foray on the trail. Kayak launch, multiple trails, native Flora area, etc. Need to explore further; looks promising!
Wonderful little park. Usually see gopher tortoise and sometimes a nesting bald eagle. Elevated trails in the mangroves are great for observing Lemon Bay and its sea life.
Great hang out
Just the place I needed to be at the right time, ever have that happen if so, then uou know what I mean.
I took a 2.5 mile walk along the trail. Very beautiful off of a residential area.
