Amazing spot where you can feel the loving vibrations still of the SRFs founder, Swami Yogananda, coursing through the air. Not to mention one of the prettiest seaside gardens I’ve ever seen. All in all a great place to spend a quiet afternoon admiring nature or looking inwards to find ones own inner beauty.

Free entry. Free parking outside. Beautiful peaceful garden and ocean views within. If walking through, about 20 minutes. If sitting in the many many alcoves and sitting benches, of course it will be a longer visit. Was a quick and easy stop off 5 South on our way to San Diego.

Absolutely breathtaking and a hippy paradise. You walk through beautiful gardens alongside the ocean while people are meditating around you. Its very calming and relaxing. There are plenty of photo and selfie opportunities. I think this would be fun for a family, couple, or individual to visit. We had a wonderful time.

Serene, secluded garden with shade, fish ponds, various trees/plants/ flowers, and an amazing view of the ocean as the garden grounds are situated on a high bluff. I come here to pray & visitors are respectful of being quiet as there are often other people meditating in the various pockets of this lovely garden. Its a hidden gem in north county San Diego. Absolutely peaceful. Its so wonderful that this garden is free & open to the public. There is ample free street parking along the neighboring side streets.

A beautiful, well-maintained spiritual place with ocean views and plenty of benches to sit on. The Koi ponds are also very nice, with several unusually large koi. Children are welcome, although people are usually very respectful and try to be quiet if they see you meditating. Im very grateful to have enjoyed it today.

Serenity, beauty, powerful spiritual vibrations and gorgeous view of the ocean make this place a dream for anyone who wants to contemplate or meditate. Very well kept throughout the year. If you watch to your left standing on the cliff, you can see the hermitage where Paramahamsa Yogananda stayed and wrote many of his works including the autobiography. We can see the place in the garden where Swamiji used to conduct Easter service when there was a chapel on the cliff before it was taken down due to erosion by the ocean, now marked by a star on a raised platform. Wish more people visited to absorb the peace and meditate than to go around posing for pictures. Closed during inclement weather such as heavy rain, which has been happening now more often than before in San Diego!!!

While this is a beautiful area, its not much of a meditation anything. No matter what time of day that you go there are at least 50 other people walking around the small paths and cramped areas. If youre looking for a quiet place to recharge, find somewhere else.

An gorgeous oasis in the middle of noisy, busy coastal towns. A great place to admire the beauty of well manicured gardens and ponds with colorful Koi fish. The Pacific Ocean tops the views. You must be very quiet while strolling through the gardens; cell phone must be silenced. There is a stair to gain access to the gardens; easy climb, not a lot of steps. However, if someone in your party has trouble maneuvering the steps, you can ask the security guard at the entrance to open a side door at the top of the stairs to facilitate entrance.

I visited the Meditation Gardens for the second time recently and I was still impressed by the absolute peaceful surroundings. As a writer I often need a change of scenery to chase away the writers block blues and as a believer its good to have a place of solitude that provides a spiritual recharge and filling that helps to center oneself. This is the place. Despite the fact that it is located in a residential area, parking was not a problem and I appreciated that as well. Ill be back.

This is our zen. Absolutely amazing, we go often. My 9 year old and I go somedays just because we love it, other days we go to ground ourselves.Caution though, I really wish people would understand it is not a place to discuss yoga, business ops or whatever. It breaks our zen.... perhaps I should suggest better signage on our next visit. You can tell the tourists that are only there for the photo ops and not for meditation.

The people here are rude and care more about their silence than their self-realization.Pro-tip: maybe as part of your self realization process, you should wonder why you feel the need to be rude to a visitor with special needs. Im curious why it is that you cling to your silence and negative energy more than kindness and understanding to ANOTHER HUMAN BEING.Your staff is not too good to treat the rest of us mere mortals with the respect we deserve. Thanks for ruining my and my sisters weekend.
