Nice park but lots of homeless hanging around. Great ice cream shop, Cali Cream, is across the 101 and a cool little rock garden is down the street from that toward the beach.
It is a lovely place! It is good for spending time with your children.
NiceCleanJust enough parking spacesConvenientChillNice covered building for groups
That looks like a fun playground once Covid is over. Nice tables for sitting.
Lots of grass, and shade. Picking tables, good bathrooms open. Playground. Creek. Walking path. Tenis and basket ball court
I never knew this part of the park existed! Love it! Hard to see from the area of Vulcan.
Beautiful park with nice trails that go over and along the creek
Its a very beautiful park, allows dogs, has a couple tennis courts, a basketball court, bathrooms, and gazebo with picnic tables. Its very good for kids, especially since there are usually quite a few of them. There are also quite a few weekly events for homeless and low income to get a meal which is also very nice. The only downside is there isnt a very big parking lot, but besides that its fantastic.
Great outdoor vibe to just get away and relax. The scenery was great.
Nice little local park with a big playground for the kids. The downside is all the homeless sleeping and congregating in the park. I have never seen them bother anyone, but people sleeping on mounds of garbage bags/belonging detracts from the charm.
Lots of space, shade, picnic tables, not a lot of people (went on Sunday morning and Monday afternoon). One of the only places Ill go now during the pandemic.
Very nice park.. kids will love it!
Nice clean park with bathrooms, good toys and only friendly quiet homeless people.
Beautiful park with shady trees, tennis courts, a playground, covered picnic tables and walking paths. Love coming here!
Great park with a lot of play equipment, but parking can be difficult on nicer days due to some of the large RVs taking up multiple spots.
Older but still nice urban park. Its surrounded by a shopping center, housing development and busy road yet still nice and safe open space for kids to play. Boarded on one side by a small creek with a trail and picnic areas. One large covered gazebo with several picnic tables for eating in the shade. The playground itself is older equipment over sand but still in good shape. Would have given 5cstars but the bathroom was under maintained and not clean smelling.
A very nice park looking like it will see a downturn soon.Dont get me wrong... The park was very nice, and my family very much enjoyed the playground and the walking path. The park looks like its still being taken care of, but its obvious Encinitas is not enforcing vagrancy/overnight parking laws, likely because theyre not popular in Californias coastal communities. This seems like a nice community... Im hoping they dont self-destruct, like many other places in California have. There are at least three RVs permanently parked in the parking lot of the park. There were also several obviously homeless people sleeping under trees and tables throughout the park.
Nice place
Beautiful park. Super nice playground as well, it is well maintained and you can see that there. The is however a homeless persons presence on a regular basis so be aware of it. The San Diego Sheriffs Department does do regular checks so it’s not unsafe at all.
Very nice park. Clean.
Great place to take ur kids
Ok
Better during early hours. People like to rest there for the night as the sun begins to set. Lots of room to walk, playground, small basketball court and tennis court. Lots of trees and a restroom.
Great place to play pickleball every Tuesday and Thursday morning
Very nice
Nice but has many transients which dont mix with young children!
Again last few moments of happiness with Michael
Peaceful except on weekends. Green. Shade Trees.
So fun!!! Great slides, swings and even a tock climbing wall.Parking lot is small
Excellent place to stop by with the kids. Short drive off the I-5 freeway and a good stop to make on the way from LA to San Diego. By that point my children are stir crazy from being cooped up in the car. The playground is large and diverse. Also kids can go explore the artificial creek that runs nearby.
Great little park. Its close enough to the ocean to get a chilly breeze, so bring a sweater. But really way bigger than I thought it could be with nice bathrooms and a good playground.
Great park. Plenty of shade, good location, play structures are great. Only reason it doesnt get 5 stars is the parking sucks!
Super place for outdoor meetings. 2 tennis courts. Great playground off your kids. Good parking.
Clean and nice but lacking shade
Has lots of open grassy area, good size playground
This park is so great but so busy at the same time!

Great park and playground area. Walkways all around, gazebos, lush landscaping, and close to ocean. Good for walking, jogging, yoga and meditation. Beautiful park!

Lovely community park, well thought memorial to POW/MIA devotion to duty. Not enough children or dogs
Fun Park for the kids and poke hunting! Great for picnics. Plenty of grass area for playing ball.
Its a great place to catch up with your thoughts and relax while the little ones play in the playground
Interesting little park. Glad they made it.
Fun park with childrens playground, basketball and tennis courts, plus a creekside nature trail and lots of grass to play or lay out in...
Relaxing park. A lot of picnic tables, open space, and cool climbing rocks for kids
Nice place
Great park for kids. Safe, clean, and free parking.
Nice small park with lots of trees for shade. A slice of Encinitas history with Cottonwood Creek (one of the reasons that Encinitas existed so far back in history) Decent playground for the kids. Tennis courts, basketball.
We discovered this park a few weeks ago and it is a really nice park with a very nice playground and walking paths.
Cute little park. Plenty of kids, i like that its close to the beach.
Bathrooms dont have doors
A nice quiet place next to a high traffic downtown area.
Beautiful neighborhood park with lots of shade, a small creek and a playground. Picnic tables and plentiful benches
And now it has pickleball courts!
Love this park...great playground for the kids. Parking can be tough at busy hours
We held a Swedish Midsommer Fest here and it was perfect.

There is a playground for children, a gazebo [may require reservations], two large lawns [one of them on an incline], a dirt walking path, plus a little creek.

Playground is beat up and risky for the kids if not attended carefully.
