They have done a phenomenal job over the years, Ive seen this grow into quite a spectacular. From crossing guards to security... even the extra props... crunch and santa to take pics with.... And the elves are such a cute touch. Thank you for giving our community such a nice and safe activity for the children and the young at heart.
Cool place to go, try not to go on a prime weekend or holiday it was packed also go 1 hour early to find a good spot, they have different showings time with different type of music. Also parking is at the high school so youll have to walk. Overall awesome thing to do during the holidays. Kids will like it and parents will stress out because of all the probably thousands of people attending..lol.
This is one of the coolest Christmas light shows there is! Each year the lights get more intricate and the music selection is updated. The show includes a range of music from classic to pop and us fun for everyone. After the show you can meet the Grinch and Santa as well as grab a cup of hot chocolate and tour the grounds. Its a must see in El Paso at the holidays.
I am incredibly grateful to be able to bring my family to the Fred Loya Christmas lights every year. The showings are as follows: Every Fri, Sat and Sun. 6,7 and 8. Parking is a block away at Montwood High school. Law enforcement, security, and staff for our safety heavely enforced. After the incredible show they give free hot chocolate and cookies. After, an opportunity to take a photo with Santa, The Grinch and Jack. Thank you Fred Loya Family for making this possible for our community. A wonderful Christmas tradition for all. I highly recommend you bring your family and enjoy.
We’ve been here twice and we loved it each time. Wish we were in El Paso to go see the lights. They offered hot chocolate and cookies towards the end and Santa Claus would come to say hi. So cute and free!
I enjoyed it, first time there...Best part; we were next to the Chocolate House... got some hot chocolate and cookies after the light show... Nice!!
Always a great show. All the kids I took had a great time. Perfect weather to be outside and enjoy the 3 shows.
Watched the techno show and it was really good, need to go back for the rock show. The Loyas and all the staff do a great job every year.
My kids really enjoyed the light show. It was fantastic, we didnt stay and talk through the light display just way to many people to walk 4 year twins through. If you have older children and youre not claustrophobic I think you would be ok.
It was totally laid-back everything was easy and cool my baby girl had a fabulous time her cousins had a likewise fabulous time it was a really fun night for everybody
It was ok nothing too special about. I understand they are mostly volunteers but could still be courteous with the people it is the holidays after all...
I love this event and so do my children. I have went the past years and now this year. They never disappoint. Only thing is, if you want to take a picture with Santa or the Grinch, come to one of the earlier shows or get in line fast. Hot chocolate is served and the show is amazing and different every year. Love it.
Its a beautiful lights show and the MC was pretty cool herself, the hot cocoa was very tastee and it was a very nice experience to enjoy
Cool show, get there early. short but enjoyable.
CROWDED! Since there is limited options for fun things to do in El Paso Texas, this turns the neighborhood into a traffic and people-crammed place that resembles Times Square in New York on New Years. What makes it even worse for me is that it takes place near my home, which makes my neighborhood annoying to live in during that time of the year. Not being a Scrooge; 16 years of dealing with it and vandalism it attracts because of the influx of people to one small spot in the city.
The house has shows certain hours and certain days. Best part is the snow coming out of the trees
Awesome view.. enjoyed the free hot chocolate and generous cookies..
Fun experience, had hot chocolate. Fun for the family +fake snow
This show was awesome bless Me. Loya for putting this light show & all the goodies too
Favorite thing to go see every year during christmas time with my family
Always a good show, family friendly and well coordinated.
Wow it was amazing the lights and the people were super friendly
Its a great event to go see with family
Its great to see that their doing different types of shows. I believe there are three types, showings are Friday - Sunday with shows at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm. Of course theres free cookies and free hot chocolate. Free pictures with the main man of the North Pole and his little helps. Great event to go to. Just remembered to park at Montwood High School and to go about 30mins before eating each showing. Have fun and have a very Happy Holidays!!!!
One of the most beautiful displays of Christmas lights I have ever seen. The owner puts up a fabulous exhibition every year, and shares, free of charge, with anyone who wants to visit. His neighbors get in on the fun offering free hot chocolate, pictures with Santa and the Grinch. The high school offers parking. Police keep traffic under control. Every hour, 3 times each evening at Christmastime, a light/music show that must be visible from Mars fills the sky. It is a lovely community event, and incredibly kind and generous on the part of the owner and the whole community.
Came here for the second time. We enjoyed the show. Nice place for the kids specially in Christmas time. Free lightning show. Free hot chocolate.
It was very nice although it was very, very short. For such a long wait and huge crowd I thought it would be longer than a few minutes. The lighting and music was very professional .They offer free hot chocolate and cookies and photo booths. This is a great family event. There are lots of vendors selling glow in the dark toys and wearables. This is a very festive event. If you are going, get there at least an hour before the show.
Overrated. Watching a guys house with lights on it while he exploits thousands of people over shady insurance? Ill pass next year
It was my first time there and to me it waz beautiful and very well planned. Enjoyed hot coca and cookies. Even pix with the Santa and Grinch was awesome
Beautiful x-mass show
A fun night indeed. A Christmas time tradition here you in El Paso... Hot cocoa and a great atmosphere. Easy to get to as well just park at the high school and walk over. They have multiple shows per night and every weekend in December. There were vendors trying to take advantage by selling colorful trinkets that kids like.
Beautiful show and experience with the family. Really generous for them to also have hot chocolate at the end of each showing.
Different every year and every show.6pm show is classic, 7pm show is techno and 8pm show is rock
It was an amazing show. I never get tierd of it.
It was a wonderful and brand-new Christmas for my family and we love the lights and to spend time with her loved ones
Coming from Las cruces, very long drive for a quick 10-15 minute show. Not worth it. Too crowded. Free cookies & hot chocolate though!
Go every year with the family and always enjoy the show and taking pictures with santa and the Grinch. Would recommend to everybody I know to go enjoy it.
It’s fun for the whole family, free cookies, hot chocolate and an awesome show to see. Can be crowded so try to get to the earlier shows if possible due to the ease of parking at Montwood.
I had such a great time not only with my mother but with my friends taking pictures laughing it up going through all the ornaments seen the tree seen the a Santa Claus seems a little train the music the lights everything was so wonderful it was such a great place
This place gets more crowded every year (not good). I highly recommend you go two weeks or more before Christmas, because the closer XMAS comes the crowds just get worse.
Awesome experience, and great colorful lights
The start of the show sounded awesome sadly I wasnt able to see the Grinch or any other characters . The lights and music was amazing
I appreciate you guys.
Beautiful neighborhood. Awesome light show
Probably one of the best light shows I have seen anywhere in the world. Incredibly friendly people!
Liked the classic show, it was great.
Very friendly, courteous staff. My mom is disabled and they were very accodomating. The whole expierience was awesome. We had a great time!
Waited over 12 minutes for an order I did online. I had to go in and ask when are they going to bring the order out to get them to start the order. Mgr was standing there on the phone while trying to talk to me. She finally put the phone down because I was mad. Wrong way to talk with your customers. I will never order from this McDonalds again.
Didnt get to see the show last year. Definitely worth the trip. Great show.
Fred Loyas house was beautiful like always great show. Needs more Christmas music.
Its over rate, but its a nice place to give it a try once in awhile
Great family experience
Excellent! Now a Christmas tradition to see the Christmas lights show at the Loyas home
Something fun and different to do. Great for smaller kids.
Great Family outing. Great light show be there early.
This is a great thing that Mr. Loya does for the community of El Pass and the surrounding areas.
Great family activity!!
Is free cant complain
Awesome show. It is a great thing that Fred Loya gives back to the city in such a spectacular way. There are food and hot chocolate trucks near the parking area. Thanks also to Montwood High for the parking. Leave yourself plenty of time to get into and out of the parking
The show is really cool. There were enough cookies and hot chocolate for everyone. It is well organized.
This place has come a long way from when I was a kid. Its a lot nicer, great food and a lot more activities for the family.
Great experience, everything is perfect
Light show was cool and it was nice to take pictures with Santa and the Grinch! Hot chocolate and cookies always make the experience better!
This was the first time I went to the Fred Loya house. It was nice, but the show itself is quite brief. It would be nice it there was more of a show, not just the pizzazz of many Christmas Lights.
Amazing for adults and kids,
Every year the light show grows in complexity and popularity. This light show is a To Do for the holiday season.
My granddaughter loved it Wants 2 go again
Great show.
Beautiful place to visit
Its not the same anymore. Way too crowded, and families with little kids should be in front, and adults in the back. I didnt get to enjoy it like the previous years.
Classic event where the community comes together to put on an awesome show.
Just too many people
Very memorable light show. Free hot cocoa and oreos.
Family oriented event. Very well organize, fun, and safe.
Only thing I didnt like is how short the show was. It was awesome and wouldve liked it to last longer!
Very crowded but it was great to see so many people come out.
Thank you Fam. Loya for a great show!!
Te Best light show in Texas
So sweet
