GORGEOUS Hike i did it in 2019 but it was right before we shipped to the middle east so forgot to review. Its been almost exactly a year and 1 day since I climbed. Worth the effort.

Good short hike but be aware of the weather, part of the trail is on the ridge, so if its a little windy, its guaranteed to be more so up there.

Great place for an adventure. Staff are friendly and facilities are clean. If you are AD in the military you can also get a free National Parks pass here. Its good for all National Parks.

When in El Paso, hiking the Franklain Mountains from Transmountain up to Mammoth Cave is a must do rite next to L&Js and Cattleman’s. It is a little over 3 mile round trip. You can choose to take the ridge line or go straight up the depression on all fours for the last 1/2 mile up. Either way once you get to your destination you can see Juarez, Downtown, Northeast, Westside and New Mexico. I have made it to the top 3 times now. Now it’s your turn!

Good quick hike, but $5 per person is a bit steep. Maybe if there were some amenities, like a bathroom, or some trail maintenance, but theres a hodgepodge of trails that spiderweb everywhere and no bathrooms at the trailhead.
