Im an officer for a non profit that holds monthly meetings. This branch was a central location, since our members are scattered all around EP. This branch cant keep anything organized. This is the second time they lost our paperwork that we filled out to reserve a meeting space. The first time they were great at accomidating us and getting us a room. This time around I called in to verify and they had nothing for our meeting date. When I went to fill out the paperwork, I snapped a copy of it, in case this happened again. Needless to say, we are finding another location to host our meetings.
I always come here to check out books it is my go to library since I was young and still is, has little events and has a area for teens. There is a little bit for everyone to enjoy a good book.
Great staff and friendly atmosphere. I love how their kids section is completely separate. They have a very nice computer lab too.
Library is ok. They update the magazines frequently, computers are nice and they have comic books. The long gray haired man from staff is really nice (forgot his name) but ladies from staff are kinda grouchy.
Very nice place to work. Cozy and quiet. They have decent WiFi connectivity and internet speed. Enjoyed working here. If you are an anime fan, you’ll like thier comic (manga) collection.
5years i have had a library card here at this library, volunteer at Halloween. Heard Santa tell a story and take pictures with the kids. The staff have become friends. This library might be small, it gives shelter to the homeless. Like me.
Carpet is dirty and badly stained in the childrens area. There is a building block table with no blocks, and a wooden bead and wire box for toddlers that needs repair. The childrens book section is small but most of the books are in good shape. I spent about fifteen minutes reading to my three year old when a librarian entered the room and stood with her arms crossed glaring at us. No idea why, we were quiet and the only ones in the childrens section. She continued to glare until a father came in and asked for her help selecting a book for his son, who looked about six or seven years old. After hearing the boy was struggling with his reading, the librarian brought them to the picture books and told the little boy you arent ready for books with words with a rude attitude. This woman, who has a career dedicated to promting knowledge and a love for reading, stood there and shamed a little boy for having difficulties reading. I will not be returning to the Clardy Fox Library.
This location stole personal items when I went about researching a project. I did leave my personal belongings unattended, however I was not gone long and hoped camera and personnel surveillance would protect me and patronage of against this sort of thing. WRONG. The library was empty and and the only ones who could have done this was the library staff. I asked about my personal belongings and I was laughed at and the staff was sarcastic with me. I am very saddened that city employees are not honest. Stinking thieves.
Libraries are supposed to be a place to focus and read quietly or study. Dont put a haunted house in the middle of it and blow a air horn every five seconds, I dont care if its Halloween, this is not a rec center
Its like a small community in here
Good cool
