There are not many new movies out, especially for young children age 4. Most suitable movies were old ones that could be watched in home. I was also told that it was the last day and the theater would be closing until possibly next year because of movies being on hold right now.

Regal Cinemas Parkway is located inside Parkway Mall. The seating arrangements is extremely comfortable on like other theaters in the local area. To theater offers a selection of food and various amenities which makes it an attractive choice for movie goers.this makes it very interesting and very appealing to shoppers

Go In The Mornings For a DiscountTicket prices are so high nowadays that we go during the mornings for $8.25, or Summer childrens schedule for $1.00 on Wednesday and Thursdays. The staff is always courteous and helpful. The concession stand is expensive but, its to be expected. There must be a new manager because the changes they made to recoup money loss is not going to be effective. They just removed the rope line barriers for waiting in a single line, and I can see the mess thatll be on the busy days to wait in line for your tickets. Theres 3 ticket booths open and one made up line to wait, well, theres no rope barrier and no one is going respect it, and they shouldnt have to neither; because 3 ticket booths open, MEANS theres 3 SEPARATE lines! Every open ticket booth should be their own line or the barriers should be put back up before theres a fight......:/ And, I can see it happening soon. They took the movie titles off the signs at the entrance of the auditoriums, so now its just, a number. They must think that way, there wont be unwanted visitors. OOO and, now theyre collecting tickets from customers right after the entrance of the glass doors and for those that go there often know what a back up itll be on the weekends, actually it was backed up when we went on Wednesday morning. Lol....Good one.

Decent theater but I was hoping the auditorium would have been updated. Seats are cramped compared to reclining seats. The movie was late starting. I had to walk down two flights if stairs because the escalators were down. The supervisor was accommodating and helpful.

This is my childhood mall and to be honest most malls close down a ton of stores, never updating the interior again as they cant compete with the ever-growing internet age. But, Parkway has consistently added new options to attract new audiences and keep itself going. I have to admit Im sad the carousel is gone, but other than sentiment for the past, I love my hometown mall.

Today I brought the kids to watch Doolittle. I wasnt feeling it @ first, I had my heart set on Frozen 2. But being my daughters birthday month, I allowed her to pick the movie wed be watching. All in all, it was a good movie & I enjoyed my time here.

I recommend coming in on evenings that’s when the better half of the staff is working. Any time we’ve gone during the day there always seems to be issues. The staff definitely isn’t as welcoming as well as the theater being in disarray. We especially enjoy being greeted by Noah and Tyler 2 of our favorite employees who work the evening shifts. Their customer service skills definitely go above and beyond! Whether they are taking your tickets or working concessions you are always treated with warm welcome and given the best service possible.

Clean theater with ample parking. Mall location is easy to get to and provides more food and shopping options before/after the movie. Snacks are standard movie-house options and the popcorn was fresh and hot.

The most recent trip to Regal Theater parkway plaza was a NIGHTMARE. Our tickets were for an 11a movie. We stood in line for snacks for 40 minutes. We not only missed the 11 showing but the 1130 showing also. I found the manager but he said we would have to pay MORE MONEY! I refused! I want a full refund!

I like that you get to pick your seats beforehand so you don’t have to get into the movie 30 minutes before it starts. Nice staff. Clean. Food is pricey but what movie theater isn’t? The seats are a little uncomfortable though. Other than that nice. Good sound and quality. This is the only theater I go to so I would recommend it. And definitely download the app and buy tickets through that and be sure to be a member so you can get points to earn free popcorn and drinks :)

I really want to lower the number of stars but the reviews for tonight only. They need to have more people working. it was a Friday night and they only had one person working the snack bar downstairs, two people work in the snack bar upstairs, and two people working the ticket box.. And I hate how they got rid of the line maze or whatever its called. Now its super chaotic. you dont know where to stand... is it one line that splits off into two or two lines? its just really lame.

I could give 5 stars. Theater is nice enough. But every time I go to this theater the lines for concessions are ridiculously long and no one working there cares. Ive passed on over priced popcorn many times just because that line. Maybe consider a self service option like the drive inn? That way you just need the one cashier?

My beautiful daughter spoiled me and her niece for our birthdays and took us to see the new Aladdin. So cool. The Sound and huge screen and comfy seats were great .

This is an older theater complex in much need of a facelift. They do have beer and wine at the concession which is nice, but their ticket prices are very high for the quality of the theater. Just go to Reading Grossmont a few miles away for a full bar, much nicer employees at a much cleaner and newer complex, for $5 less a ticket!

Nice indoor mall with A/C. Many stores geared toward young adults/trendy with a few major dept. stores. Several areas are being renovated while new stores are being put in. Good sized food court. Some structure parking which helps with the heat, and a large Regal movie theater.

Been going to this theater since moving to El Cajon 3 years ago. What a treat. Great service - seriously divine and the seats are pretty comfortable. And well they have all the best movies right here so no need to travel to SD.

The staff, especially Danny the manager, tries their best but the concession line can get ridiculously long so be sure to factor in the half an hour itll take to get your popcorn. Otherwise, its a great theater.

Sonic was spectacular. Best thing about the theatre. My seat got stolen, so i stole someone elses seat and then a child cried a bit but it wasnt an issue. Then they complained we stole their spot, so if you are reading this lady, next time you can have my spot twice. I used to come here as a teen, over fifteen years ago, so it was pretty cool to see this theatre still going strong. Except for adding IMAX it really hasnt changed much.There are two floors, nine screens located onon ea (the IMAX one is upstairs). Both levels have bathrooms and large concession counters. The arcade is downstairs and has some decent games; there were plenty of people playing them at the time. Dont know if the automated candy machine is downstairs too, but theres one on the second floor.This Regal is about as huge as the one out in Mira Mesa, but it has the advantage (in my view) of not being crowded. Maybe that changes on certain days, but with the layout and space it probably never feels claustrophobic. The bathrooms, the theatres, everything was clean. Ill have to find out whether they do events like Mira Mesa does, showing Marvel movie marathons or playing classics, etc. (They do have the Fathom Events thing going on, I noticed, with various showings.)I can also appreciate the theatres in a mall, close to a Target and plenty of food options. I like to multitask, what can I say? This looks like it will be my go-to movie place from now on.

Lots of screens, lots of times. Clean, comfortable seats. Now, thanks to computers, you can pick your exact seats, nice! Popcorn and drinks cost more than a ticket, so eat something before you go. Theres a Senior citizens discount most people dont know about. You can join the Regal Crown Club and save money and earn points for sometimes free stuff.

Seats were comfortable, but while we were watching the Farewell. The movie had issues with the film. There were two times during the movie we sat in darkness before they fixed things. We didnt even receive extra tickets for this error. Some people were so frustrated they just left.

People there are super sweet, the place is very clean and nice, and exactly what you would expect from a movie theater.

Nice service, the seats are pretty comfortable. And it was a great way to beat the heat in 100° weather here in east county. It gets a little confusing trying to find theatre halls on the second floor, but its nothing that would completely ruin a trip here.

Something feels kind of old about this place. But the anarchic are good and the staff always nice. Its a regular movie theater but its in the mall which is rare these days. So you can drag the kids shipping with the promise of a Marvel movie after! Not a huge theater and can be a hangout but not in a bad way.

The ticket girl working 11/6 at 12:00 is extremely rude. she wouldn’t let me speak after told her I needed to use the bathroom before I bought my ticket. I am a Navy veteran who works in the same mall and I have never been more humiliated. Extremely degrading and continued to speak over me as I was expressing interest in purchasing a ticket. I did leave to use another restroom but I came back and she continued to taunt me as I expressed interest in a movie ticket. Finally I gave up and walked away while she was snidely telling me to have a good day. #freetopee

My husband and I went to see Avengers this weekend. We havent been to the Regal in Parkway Plaza for years but decided to go since its close to our house and we could reserve seats for the opening weekend of Endgame.We were largely disappointed with our experience. The theater itself was not even open until 15 minutes before the movie started which led to massive crowds near the concession stands. The line for concession moved very slow - it took us at least 20 minutes for us to be served and there were only 4 parties in front of us. When we were able to order, the service was very friendly.The condition of the theater overall was gross. There was popcorn everywhere on the floors through the halls, bathroom, etc. Every trash can was overflowing. The womens bathroom was covered in trash and there were bodily fluids and blood smeared and the floor. It was also extremely warm and stagnant in the theater - by the end of the movie we were sweating and very uncomfortable.Overall the condition of the theater did not match the excessive price we paid for the tickets and will not be back to this theater anytime soon.

Decent movie theater, but Jesus, those prices are murder for a matinee. 22 bucks for a regular movie for me and my three year old. Then 15 for a large soda and medium popcorn. The Santee Drive in is better, hands down. The employees were really nice though, so thats why I gave it 3 stars.

Went to see endgame on date night with the hubby and I understand it was a very busy opening weekend, but I have still never seen such a disgusting theater. I wish is gotten a picture if the hallway as we entered and left, the Reagans were over flowing with half eaten popcorn bins,v candy wrappers, and soft drinks. The floor was littered with popcorn and trash. The theater itself was hot and smelled of swear and stale food. And apparently parents are allowed to bring back into 7:30 showiness for movie thats are 3+ hours long. If it wasnt for spoilers, Id have waited to purchase the movie and watch it from the comfort of my home.

Sunday 11:15 show was $8.50! Thats nice! Didnt purchase snacks or drinks. Theater clean and comfy. Close to home. Allow extra time for finding parking, and walking through the mall to the theater. Closest spaces are just outside the food court.

Wonderful screen to watch Captain Marvel. The tickets were cheap, but the popcorn was boring. If they had their own caramel popcorn it could have been better because nothing is better than caramel popcorn. Water is very overpriced because I paid $5 for a big Dasani bottle which is quite a lot as Im used to around $3 as a reasonable price

This theater has gone downhill in the past year. Extremely long lines stretching out into the mall with only ONE window open, but usually one person standing in the booth doing nothing. Then only 1 concession stand open except on weekends) again usually only one line open but with people roaming around in the background, so I pass, as I hate to stand in 2 long lines for up to 20 minutes, and having to choose a seat before going in takes some people more time etc. Very poor management. Youd think they would know at opening time, there would be the majority of people waiting for thickets. From now on, I will go to the Regal in Rancho San Diego where there are no lines. Its worth the trip.

Been here twice recently. Forced to pick seat when purchasung ticket, then moviegoers, came in late and plopped right down next to me. I didnt want to miss the movie so I got up and sat somewhere else as I know the one person was older and seemed to be disoriented, did not follow her daughter past me. I didnt want to make a scene.2nd visit, could hear air conditioner noise, or movie action from movie next door, periodically throughout the movie.

We went to the opening night of Avengers: Endgame. The seats were a bit run down, the theater itself was pretty clean. I knocked off two stars because the AC was turned off about 2/3 of the way through the movie, so for the last hour the auditorium was stifling. As the credits rolled people were fanning themselves. It was uncomfortable. I love going to the movies but I am not looking forward to coming back if the air flow is cut off leaving me sticking to the seat by the end of the film.

This is our favorite cinema to go to and catch the latest newly released films in the industry. Always very clean theatres, no trash or any debris on the floors, wc we appreciate very much, as we are very frequent patrons. The restrooms too, are very well maintaigoing in the toilets to check. Weve been there when a movie got stuck & stopped running, the Manager immediately arrived & to apologize to us & assured us of a full refund of our tickets. Good Management equals good operations.

I had purchased tickets online through my place of employment who has a partnership with Regal. I had the vouchers ready on my phone for the box office attendant to scan, but he said he needed an actual print out on a piece of paper in order for them to be accepted. I ended up buying a whole other set of tickets since the show time was in a few minutes. Whats the point in having all this technology for convenience if we cant use it?

I looked at our over all expierance while visiting. We arrived at 7:15pm to see an 8:00pm showing, when we purchased our tickets we requested the 8 pm showing we received our ticket and we were told what theater to go to, we then went to the concession stand to get our popcorn and some berrs. The person who was assisting us with our order was extremely sarcastic and rude with us when we asked about what beers they had, he actually said what dose it matter all beers are the same so customer service is extereamly poor not to mention that because most of the counterworkers were underage they could not get us the beers we had to wait over 20 minutes to receive our drinks so they could go find someone of age to get our drinks poured. We make our way up to the theater we were told to go to and the movie had already been going for about 40 minutes. We were shocked it was only 7:45 we still had 15 minutes before the 8 pm showing. Looking at our tickets the person who sold us tickets gave us the 7 pm showing. So back down stairs to talk with a manager to see if any seats were aviable for the 8pm show. That took another 20 to 30 minutes, we actually had to ask them to call the person over a few times because the 8pm showing was going to start. The women that come to help us was polite she did change our tickets and for our trouble did give us some return movie tickets. There is one individual that did have good customer service we really appreciated his efforts to try to help us out even though there was little he could do. My suggestion if management actually see this post would be to retrain your employees on customer service and please get some folks who can actually serve alcohol to expedite the lines at concession so the movie goers expierance was more pleasant. We actually had planned on purchasing more at the snack counter but because of the time it took to receive our popcorn and beers and because of the attitude of the worker we stopped at the popcorn and beers. Overall appearance and restrooms were clean.
