Found what I was looking for. It was a little hard to find an employee to help, but once I found one, she was very helpful. The store was clean and much more organized than other craft stores.

Decent amount of Halloween and decor decor

Terrible service. None of the employees knew what they were doing. No one could tell me why the 20% off regular priced merchandise coupon wasn’t working even though my frame was full price and not in the restricted merchandise. I read through the restrictions and the employee was like “yeah I don’t know why it’s not working but you have to pay full price.” The coupon worked for every other color frame in the same size and same brand. I showed her the coupon working in checkout on my phone. She shrugged and said there is nothing she could do which is obviously a lie, I work in retail, I know you can apply a manual discount. I asked her if I could order online for in store pick-up, walk outside, and walk back in to pick it up so I could get the discount. She said I could do that but I would have to wait for them to put the frame back and repick it which would take a while and I couldn’t leave the store with the frame today. It was literally the most backwards conversation I’ve ever had in retail like why would you make a customer go through all of when you could just apply the 20% off and make life easier on everyone. I asked the employee if I should order the frame online with the coupon and simply return it in store using this full price receipt once it arrived, she said that was what I would have to do if I needed the frame today because she wasn’t giving me the discount in store no matter what, even though she couldn’t give me a reason why this particular color frame wasn’t eligible. Seriously these employees have no idea what they are doing. If I could give zero stars I would. I guess I’ll be shopping at Joann Fabrics from now on where the employees are competent.

Michaels always has what I need when it comes to art work. Prices are competitive with other similar stores in the area. The staff is REALLY good at ignoring you, which most people might find wrong, but for me, not so much. Wait time at the registers is hit or miss depending on staffing, but all in all fast enough

It was greatly appreciated that an employee went out of her way to cut glass for me on very short notice. Its always fun to browse, too!

I love Michaels. So many things were on sale and its easy to get the supplies I need at a fraction of what it costs elsewhere. I picked up 3 poster frames and a couple artificial plants from the current sale that I just love. The only take away was that my cart was always trying to go right, one of the wheels was wonky which took a bit away from the experience.

I shop here for my art business all the time. The people at Micheals are so friendly and helpful. Micheals in eau claire has always been very supportive to my business. They work hard to meet and at times exceed my expectations. The manager Holly is extremely personable works very hard to make your shopping experience a successful one. She is kind enough to care about how your business is doing and offers creative business solutions for businesses that are having challenges conducting art based business during these pandemic times. Kudos to her and her team on always being diligent in her efforts to make artists and art business owners welcome and appreciated and to go above and beyond in personalizing your shopping experience. Often have good deals on craft supplies and frames. I find myself wishing they had a little bit of a larger layout. Some aisles are cramped.

I havent been here in a long time. Great sales, but plan for a wait at the check out every time.

Ladies working there are friendly and wear masks, and are safely behind those plexiglass divides.They have managed to keep thier supplies stocked, and are always ready with a 20percent coupon

Absolutely loved the customer service. The associates greeted me with smiles & a friendly deposition. They were more then happy to answer all my questions about the smallest thing & offered suggestions without putting pressure on me to buy. Cant wait to go again. Only downside no can see, so far, is some of the items are expensive, but, in retrospect you pay for what you get.

Michaels at one time had decent products at decent prices. I went to buy Do-A-Dot (bingo daubers for preschool art) and all they have now are a cheap looking imitation. The new product is not even washable! Who, in their right mind, would give this to a small child?!

Staff is always helpful, store is set up a little difficult to find stuff, but it isnt too bad.They always have coupons online, go to the website before you check out.

Always decent with prices, great selection of hobbyist tools and lots of really nice decor. We get almost all our Halloween stuff here! My wife got a piece of art I bought from a concert framed here a couple years ago. Gorgeous job with the frame, which is proudly displayed in my home for all to see.

I always enjoy looking through this store. There is always something I didnt know about or think of. Folks here have always been very friendly a d helpful. The reason I give it three stars however, I believe Jo~Ann has better prices for the exact same products. Having all three (Hobby Lobby as well) in Eau Claire now, gives buyers the chance to shop around.

Stuff isnt organized 100% the best way but its still great to shop if you enjoy crafts and such

Good place to pick up crafting items. They have a good selection of items for just about any crafting hobby you can imagine. They also have unique items for holidays from gifts to household decorations. The prices are fair for a box store. The staff is friendly and helpful, my wife loves this place.

Helpful customer service. I work at a commercial/retail paint store that doesnt deal in chalk paint, so I constantly refer people looking for chalk paint there blindly. They were glad to assist not only with finding it, but proper finishing, and cleaning due to wear and tear.

This place rocks! Everything you can possibly think of for arts, crafts and beyond! I could literally spend all day in this store! I love it!!!!

I went here on a Thursday afternoon with my grandson and granddaughter. My grandson found a high-quality sketchbook for himself. My granddaughter wanted materials to do squishy makeovers. There was a very good selection of the right kind of paints and we picked out some. With her own money she bought two on-sale Squishies. The cashier was *extremely* helpful, cheerfully counting my granddaughters money (mostly quarters) and then applying a coupon to my purchase. I might have been quite frustrated without the Michaels app on my phone, which told me where to find things in the store.

Michaels is always a fun place for me. No matter what kind of project I am working on they have the things I need...from beads to yarn and everything in between at a reasonable price.

The staff is very friendly and approachable. They also help you save as much money as possible with coupons and the perks that come with the rewards program.

First, I find the staff to assist when I need it, yet know to let me shop on my own as I cruise the store. 2nd, I typically shop for sales and love their buy one get two free w scrappaper pads, tags and note cards. Really worth it as opens up funds for other items. Im partial to the EauClaire Michaels.

One downside is they arent the best sales ppl. I walked around for a while looking for infusable ink and no one around to help. Then I helped sell a cricut. Cause the 4-h/ffa family had tons of questions but only got pointed in the right direction.

Rather higher priced than the other craft stores in the area unless you buy everything on sale and than watch out for bait and switch: stocking very similar higher Nonsale pricd products intermixed with the items really on sale. Positive thing is the staff is outstanding

We went to michaels recently, and as we walked in the door we were immediately told that they were closing in 4 minutes.It wasnt a Were closing soon, but I can help you quickly find what youre looking for. Type of reception which I would expect in such a scenario.It had more of a GO AWAY type of feel to it. So we did. We immediately turned and walked back to the car. Definately a one star type of reception.
