Stopped in to get a Celtic knot tattoo with my sister today and worked with Mel. It was an awesome experience. The shop itself was amazing and clean and very professional, Im extremely happy with how my tattoo turned out and Mel was an awesome person to worked wit . Very funny, professional and made us both very comfortable. will definitely come here again

Andreas did my tattoo and he did an amazing job. Very clean shop. He was very friendly and professional. Even when I wanted to add on another piece he was very accommodating. It turned out way better than I could have imagined. All the staff when I was there was friendly as well. I checked out another shop in town prior but the service was nowhere near as friendly. Great job

I went in here on a whim earlier this year and talked to Mel about getting a cardinal on my forearm. He had something perfect drawn up in just a few days. The colors he did also are fantastic. It healed well & turned out really nicely Im super happy with it. The shop itself is nice too aside from the creepy kid statue in the corner lol Ill come back once you guys get rid of that

By far the best place in town that offers tattoos. The staff/artists are always kind and are more than willing to work with your designs to get you what you love. As with most tattoo providers, you should be open to their artistic input as theyll know what works best in terms of size, placement, and color selection. If you provide reference images they are great at making it their own, but they arent going to be willing to just steal another artists work and reproduce it on you, and thats perfectly understandable. I go to Keith for all of my work and have for years, he is by far the best tattoo artist I have ever worked with. The only things I would recommend would be to schedule your appointment far in advance as theyre always booked far ahead. Walk-ins are rarely ever offered. The other would be to prepare to pay more than what other shops in town offer, but know that you are getting what you pay for when you go here. They are fantastic artists and provide service that many others dont. I doubt I will ever visit another tattoo shop as long as Wintership is open!

Had a great experience with Zion!

Unfortunately I did not have a good experience or any experience at all..Multiple years ago I came into the shop and spoke with an artist and he was SO friendly and open and told me to come back whenever I could afford the tattoo we spoke about. Fast forward a couple years later and I really wanted to get a tattoo to commemorate my mother and grandmother who recently passed. I called, emailed, and even showed up and put my name in the reservation book (I live 2 hours away) and still haven’t gotten as much as a call or email in response. Unfortunately the artist wasn’t in the building when I stopped in.My tattoo is seemingly in line with the artists work as he has done multiple pieces like it in the past. I don’t expect perfect prompt service, or even to be given an opportunity to get tattooed by this very sought after artist, but I do expect to be acknowledged. I stopped in, called, and emailed 6 months ago. I had been looking forward to getting a tattoo from this artist for literal years and it’s very disheartening to receive the lack of effort from their side.

Clean, efficient and well managed staff with a great group of creative artists. I would recommend these folks to anyone looking to have work done.

This shop and the artists that work here are awesome! I have both of my tattoos designed by Jonah who is extremely talented. Even though I was there to see Jonah, the other artists greeted me and struck up conversation. The art they have on display is captivating.

Rad people and the tattoos are worth every penny

I give a three because the tattoos I did receive are very well done and I get complimented on the first one I got here. The place is very clean and sterile so that is a plus. My gripe is the fact that my deposit was not included with the last one I got. From what I see of another review this is common. I will likely not come back until they have a better way of tracking deposits.

Amazing, helpfully, and nice artists. They really know what they are doing and I would highly recommend. Their pricing can be on the medium to expensive side but it is well worth it.

Terrible experience. I made my appointment 8 months in advance to assure availability. The individual I spoke with at the time was completely vapid. Tall, skinny, with a too cool for school attitude. He took a picture of my design idea yet (as I later found out) never passed it on to my artist.I called the shop 3 days before my appointment to verify and the man (I use that term loosely) I spoke with seemed as if he had no idea how computers worked. It took him about 15 minutes but he finally found my appointment. The day of my appointment I arrived 10 minutes early. Once inside the shop the lady at the front desk was too busy fielding calls to talk with me so I stood around for another 5-10 minutes waiting to even be acknowledged.Finally my artist came out to greet me. He had nothing prepared in regards to my tattoo ahead of time! Honestly, no forethought put into it at all!! He designed and developed it at that time with nothing but my memory of the design and his artistry to go on.After the tattoo was finished he told me the cost. It was reasonable, however, they had no documentation or record of what my deposit was!!!!! My artist, Keith, tells me he can only give me credit for $50. Im fairly sure my deposit was $150-200! He tells me if I can find my appointment card (from 8 months ago) and bring it in I can have my money back.I give this organization 2 stars. 1 for having and maintaining a clean and sterile environment and another for great work. Theyre going to lose out on a lot of money, though. Me, my wife and all of my friends have sworn off them based on my experience. These people know and trust me.If youre between the ages of 18 and 28 when money and organization doesnt matter to you this might be your place. If youre an adult who expects more, dont go here. Also, it should be noted this place operates cash only. They cant run a credit or debit card but they have an ATM (with a $3 charge) on site. A business that loses track of deposits and operates on cash only is a shady industry.

By far, Wintership Tattoo is the best shop in Eau Claire. They are ALWAYS busy, and sometimes you have a wait a bit to get your work done; however, it absolutely worth it. The way I see it, if Im going to permanently ink my body, Im not going to go to the cheapest place where I can get it done quickly. I want quality and talent and am willing to wait my turn to get exactly that. HIGHLY recommend this place!!

I went to Wintership with my mother so she could get a tattoo. When we walked in we were immediately greeted and I produced to her artist, Keith. Keith was friendly, funny, and his work was awesome! He saw she had trouble walking and pointed her to a good chair. He offered us both a bottle of water, and out together a drawing that turned into an awesome tattoo, that Mom and I both loved. The other staff there were very helpful and friendly as well. I wish I knew all their names so I could acknowledge them as well. We will definitely be going back. Thank you for making our experience there so great!

Had my first tattoo done here last year and it was such a great experience from appointment set up through the tattoo itself. Everyone was so friendly and professional, the shop was clean and had a great ambiance as well. You can truly tell that they put their heart into this place. My tattoo was done by Duff and his design and style were a perfect fit for me!

Both tattoos Ive had here have been wonderful. Mel was incredibly professional and very calming especially for my first ever tattoo, so much so I fell asleep during the session. Not a typical example but nonetheless I will definitely be back again for more by Mel and some of the other great artists there.

I would have to say that I have been of some help in them getting there, and I want to continue helping them strive in anyway that I can. I only hope the best for them, and I would recommend them to anyone! Jonah is my artist, and has done work on me in the past and is now continuing on more work for me. Duff and Keith are also great artists, and you wouldnt go wrong with any choice from there!

So far, I have gotten two tattoos here, my husband has gotten one, my dad has one, and my best friend and I are getting matching ones done. They are always very clean, professional, and patient. They work with you to make sure the design is exactly what you want, and all the artists are incredibly talented.

I went in for a consult with Jonah about a year ago and theres nowhere else I would go for tattoos now after going two other places. Keith, Duff and Andreas are so friendly and knowledgeable about tattooing. All the artists will be honest with you in terms of size of the tattoo so it wont bleed together, colors that work well to make the contrast pop, and they all can draw like none other! They work with you to design exactly what youre looking for and theyre not nearly as money-oriented as other places.The atmosphere is nothing like any other tattoo shop I have ever seen, I can talk with anyone in the front lobby waiting to get their tattoos done.I find Wintership Tattoo to be the warmest and most welcoming place in Eau Claire and I would highly recommend it.

I had Jonah do all of my six tattoos at his old location by my place bar including my favorite one which is a baby form of a cross between a unicorn and a peguras on a cloud on my lower back. I would consider going by thorough him again.

The positive reviews online were part of the reason I went to Wintership in Eau Claire for my first tattoo. My tattoo was done by Duff and 20 days later I am still very happy with how it turned out and the whole experience in general. I have relocated for the military and am currently stationed down south and even here I have had people see the tattoo and tell me theyre jealous of it. I guess Ill just have to find my way back to Eau Claire if I want another tattoo. 5 stars for cleanliness, professionalism, friendliness, and for the beautiful tattoo.

Wintership Tattoo needs to be recognized as top of the line when it comes to custom skin art. You can go anywhere and get a tattoo, if you go to this shop you are getting true art. The shop is well kept, designed beautifully has 3 incredible artists that wont let you down.

Terrible experience.We went to a consultation with my girlfriend and the tall skinny dude was terrible. He was absolutely no help what so ever. Had no input in her tattoo just stood there with a blank look on his face.

They failed to tell us there is a minimum charge of 80 dollars and when I was done after it took him five minutes to do my tattoo he decided to tell me about the 80 dollars. Also my friend got a tattoo thats 17 and never asked for her I.d.
