Never knew they had an auditorium. the security was very helpful and friendly helping us find our was to the elevator. the drag show was kid friendly and we all enjoyed ourselves

Had a wedding reception here for my daughter. Perfect venue. A tall glass stairway where the Father of the Bride could give his speech from, and the best man and maid of honor. Lots of room to set up tables for seating, really reasonable pricing, and an art gallery for guests to roam around in

Attended a church service here on Sunday morning and absolutely loved it! Friendly and loving people and excellent childcare!

This is THE place for arts classes in Durham for all ages. I took the mosaics class and could easily have spent the entire day there. I would like to see open studio options for people who have taken a class in that particular area so we can use the facility and tools. Raleigh parks and recreation offers that at Pullen park arts center

Attended a class on jewelry making. The Arts Council building is beautiful and classrooms spacious. I plan on returning

Attended a NYE wedding at this venue, and thought it was a very nice place for the occasion...a night to remember!

3rd Friday is great but you can check it out anytime. There are always interesting art exhibit on display. And the classes are also great and reasonable. Ive taken belly dance, salsa aerobics, intro to drawing and guitar.

A lovely place to watch our little one’s ballet showcase. Comfy chairs with all of the seats being good ones.

Durham Art Walk was a great event to view the great talented artists.

Excellent venue with galleries on both floors. Also provides classes on site with several performance spaces. Easy to get to but parking is tight.

They have good classes and they are especially great if you want to try something new!

We had my daughters dance recital here the last two years and it is a very well kept facility.

Attended a retirement party and it was the perfect venue for this type of event.

So I was there for a wedding, which was held in the theater, Its a small venue, however, very fitting for the occasion. We were told that it was once an old school.

Our kids love this place. Especially the summer camps and music lessons. Theres always cool stuff to look at.

My daughter goes to summer and intersession camp here. Their kids programs are amazing! The staff is so helpful and understanding, and she always comes home excited, happy, and with new skills and knowledge to show off. I really feel like they get her, and encourage her to let her imagination and creativity run free.

Arts Council has amazing classes, is a great event venue, home of many great arts organizations and of course sponsors of the annual Centerfest ..

I went to visit this venue as a potential baby shower location and I immediately fell in love with it. The layout for the Allenton was perfect for our theme. Faye was very responsive and accommodating through the whole booking process. The price was even very affordable compared to some other locations we had checked out across the triangle. Horace was also very helpful on the day of the eventful, as far as, setup. Thank you for making my special day come together!

Beautiful area to display art!

I was there a few weeks ago for an event, and the staff was very helpful! Id recommend this location for booking events, as Ive used them years ago as well, which was also a wonderful experience. The kitchen is conducive in space for caterers to work systematically.

Ive visited this place a few times. They screen documentary films during the Full Frame Festival which is convenient since theyre next door to the Carolina Theatre. The theater in DAC is upstairs and its just a perfect place to see a film or performance. Its small enough that there are no bad seats in the place. Seeing a film at DAC is a treat. If youre early you may enjoy seeing some of the plantings outside, especially in the spring.

Saw exhibit of my aunts paintings and the facilities are wonderful.

I like this place. Its simple and to the point. There is actual art displayed here as well as space for the arts to be taught and explored. They offer classes for people of all ages, and ability levels. With a nice variety to keep anyone interested. This building and location is nice. Although the parking lot is small, I have never actually had a problem finding parking here. Maybe they properly schedule out classes to avoid issues? I also like the Durham Arts Council in general, I say this because they do also operate other activities at other locations. I find their prices to be great. This allows opportunities for people from all backgrounds to participate in the arts. My children have also enjoyed classes and work shops with them. Everyone I open the flyers I find a steady and consistent amount of the same old same old, constantly being offered to a new group, but I also find thijngs that are new and that excited me. Recently I found they now offer workshops for girl scouts to earn some of the more artistic badges. As a girl scout leader, I think its great! Some of these badges are the ones more difficult to offer to girls without a ridiculous amount of planning. Take advantage of the oppurtunities they offer here, you wont be disappointed!

Had a great time volunteering and exploring the Centerfest Arts Festival. Great group of Organizers and Volunteers! Vendors had great energy with very entertaining Performers. Great experience and cant wait for next year!

I have taken 2 different classes at the DAC. The instructors were both very knowledgeable and classes were fun.

I truly appreciate the Durham Arts Council for the classes and variety of classes they offer. The classes are reasonably priced and we love viewing the art galleries after attending a class.

Wonderful facility for the NC Yoga Asana Championships. Stage is low and seats are higher. Nice environment.

Our daughter and her fiancé had their wedding reception at the Durham Arts Council, and it was a great experience. Amanda and everyone else we worked with at the DAC was great. They answered all of our questions as we were planning the event and made sure everything went smoothly the day of the event.

Always willing to accommodate the needs of the customer.
