You should have educated yourself as many of us have done to ensure our lives and families are provided for during the uncertainty of life. Why should we pay for your mistakes. Governer Reynolds is doing a great job weeding out the weak in our state.

We always have a great time playing some retro games while drinking some cold beer. They really take pride in keeping there games in good working order. So many of the games around town have issues and thats not the case here. I would say that the bartenders could do a better job acknowledging your presence, with a simple Ill be with you in a second. We visited and the bartender was washing glasses, despite having a shelf of clean glasses. After a few minutes we tried to get his attention and he snap back with an exaggerated, I see you! When you dont acknowledge our presence, we dont know if you see us or not.

This place is whats up. They brew local in Eastern Iowa, and pair that with a fresh location in the Millwork District of downtown Dubuque. Downstairs is an arcade, upstairs is a the bar. Tuesday night trivia is A+.

Great beer, terrible service. Went in the afternoon, hardly busy at all and the bartender deliberately ignored us, while continued to serve everyone around us including people that came up to the bar after us. It was so bad at one point a customer pointed to us and told the bartender to serve us first because we were there before him, and the bartender then proceeded to tell the other customer that it was fine, he’d serve him first and that we could wait.

Friendly staff, great ambiance, usually not too crowded. Great selection of beers!!! Not this variations-on-a-theme thing that a lot of breweries do--if you want to try something really different, you can get it here (and youll probably like it). I highly recommend the root beer as a non-alcoholic option.

My wife and I visit for free trivia on Tuesdays and have a great time. The wings and tacos are fantastic as is the choice of brews on tap. Always friendly staff.

The arcade is great! I took my 2.5 and almost 5 year olds for the first time. The 2.5 seemed impartial to the games, but the almost 5 year old loved it! We will definitely be returning for more daddy son time!

Great beer, cool location. Lots of arcade and pinball machines in the basement. Pool and ping pong also.

Food is great. Drinks are topnotch. Service is good. Place is clean. The music is a bit loud for a post-covid environment. Nobody mingles anymore, so its pretty quiet.

Fun place to spend a couple hours with friends! I was impressed with the selection of arcade games they have downstairs, they even have Mario Cart setup on a TV upstairs. Backpocket always impresses with their beer selection. Highly recommend stopping by if youre in town.

Building is huge, beers are awesome, and very hard to not spend a lot of money in the beercade downstairs. They have a lot of games you just don’t see anymore or other arcades are just missing. Probably 50 machines, and very clean and spacious. Staff is friendly and prompt to serve you.

Attended the 1st Annual Harry Potter trivia contest. Lots of fun and excitement. Good menu of drinks. Nice open atmosphere. Wish they would sell some snacks to balance out the drinks!

Around 50 games since the addition in the basement with so much space! So much fun. Even the upstairs is expanded with shuffleboard, bean bag toss, tables, couches, and more. They have craft beer and craft root beer. Atm, change machine.I like the drink gold coin, my husband likes murderhorn, and my friend likes the cheeky blush wine.

Im pretty cool pinball machines there. They dont mind if you just go by pinball. Cant really attached to how great the beer is, not really my thing. pinballs pretty legit though. There is a twilight zone pinball machine, no fear pinball machine, pirates of the Caribbean pinball machine, a lethal weapon pinball machine, and a Harley-Davidson pinball machine. The best ones are: The twilight zone, The no fear, and the pirates of the Caribbean.

Decent brews from a microbrewery. The prices are fair, the location is trendy with pinball and old-school video games. If youre in the area, check it out. They have pint size cans that they fill on order, a unique take on growlers. Plenty of parking and nearby restaurants make for a good evening out.

Such fun beers to try. There was even one that tasted like Key Lime pie last time I was there!

It has an old fashioned atmosphere with arcade machines and brick architecture. The bartenders are very knowledgeable about beer in general and the brewing process of their own beers.

This place was a gem to find for me personally. I was not even aware there was one in Dubuque. My current favorite beer is Backpocket Slingshot, so to find it on tap was REALLY nice. Throw into that the retro arcade games and pinball machines and it pretty much guaranteed my return whenever I am in town.

The beer is great and the building is beautiful and historical. The servers are knowledgeable and helpful. You can fill growlers or try beer before you buy. It is a fairly large establishment that seats around 60. They dont serve food as of may 2017 but plan to in the future. Definitely a place to visit and have a few great beers!

It was a good stop while in Dubuque, especially since Im a fan of Backpocket. There were only 2 other people in there when we went so it was quiet with great service. They were out of a few beers that we wanted to try so that was a little disappointing since you dont really go to the taproom to just drink their flagships. The inside is very trendy and a neat place to hang out for a drink.Update Aug 2019: We really enjoyed the beercade in the basement! Lots of classic arcade games for only about 50 or 75 cents per game. Much more spacious upstairs and we had excellent service.

Simply another great place in Dubuque lifting that city to one of the most enjoyable places to visit. Get there or miss the fun!
