I really like the space. Its clean, neat, very well equipped, but it has a huge lack of organization, complete chaos.I went for a badminton session with friends during their proposed time for adults.The place was filled with children under the age of fourteen.On top of it, we had a debate with some women who asked my group of eight people to give her half of the court in order to play a parallel, independent game on the other half of our court with her minors? We offered her to include her to play with us, but she was determined to subtract half of the court for her children and her, and she was allowed to do so!I was totally blown out by the idea that two different groups could play two different sets, on one net at the same court and at the same time!Unfortunately, the young guy who represented the Recreational Center wasnt helpful at all. According to him, that whole mess looked fine.In contrary to the official, Im wondering, in this actual setup, is it possible to protect yourself and not injure (by accident) some of the kids who are rooming around?Who is going to be responsible if somebody injures the kids at the time when they are not allowed to be there at all?So, I hope that in the future the Recreation Center in Downers Grove will be able to offer their services as they are advertising them ( as we are paying for it), and not to put people in unpleasant and unsafe situations. That type of crowd is against any of the rules of any kind of sport.The attempts to play sports like that will lose their purpose, place, and meaning.Indeed, I truly believe that if the officials decide to fix the mess and to promote a certain level of the order (by implying the rules), Recreation Center in Downers Grove would be a great place.At this moment, it is just a terrible example of how things do not need to be done.

This is a really large facility with good equipment. If you live or work in Downers Grove I highly recommend a membership here if you are looking for a place to work out and get in shape.

Great, clean and big. Track is free for residents and non residents 7 years and over. Exercise room is inviting, plenty of parking.

Clean gym with friendly staff!

Nice and clean with a very nice front desk staff. The basketball courts are very well kept but some times they can be a little dusty, but not often. Lots of parking and easy to find. Has a great walking track as well. Inside.

Bought a membership but mostly used the track which is free.

Downers Grove has a great facility here. All kinds of programs from tots to seniors.

Use the open gym to play picklleball at 4 bucks a session, its a really value when outdoors is not an option... staff is pretty good too
