Everything about this architecture genius is first class. Services provided are exemplary. Wide selection of beverages and typical venue food choices (and typically pricey). Acoustics better than I expected, never had a problem hearing and Im a retired army artilleryman. Very comfortable seating with rows adequately sloped to see over the head of the person in front of you (unless you get the big headed man I sat behind). Friendly staff and security. Parking was expectantly painful, particularly since a Tigers game started at the same time. Armed security inside (I recognized a detective friend), so feel safe. Give yourself time to park and get through security so you can enjoy the show.

What a beautiful theatre! Such history. You can feel the days of old, and see the people dressed in their finest to attend a play. There isn’t a bad seat in the house but we really enjoy the mezzanine, center stage seats. Seats are comfortable but could use a little more leg room, but it wasn’t bad. All in all it’s a great night out.

A truly iconic space that is a living legacy of a bygone era. The performance space is beautiful, though the acoustics aren’t even throughout. The staff here are really great, especially the older folk abs with the older folk. The lady who operated the elevator was a gem. This is truly a wonderful performance space to come see a play or musical at.

The Fisher obviously cares little for its patrons health and safety. We have tickets for tomorrow nights performance and are not comfortable attending due to this outbreak. The Governor is encouraging cancellations and advising folks to avoid these large gatherings. What more do they need to hear?

It was great show. When I first heard that Anastasia was coming to Detroit I was so excited. Such a musically awesome show. All the changes they did to the store to get away from the cheesy villain plot was well worth it. Using the few songs that were worth transfer a d adding in some magnificent additions. Favorite songs like the crowd of thousands and my Petersburg. Awesome. They did a really good job of transferring this show to the Fischer theater. Loved every moment.

We went on the opening night of Cats. The complementary parking was great. The Fisher Theater is beautiful and the staff all seemed polite and friendly. Be ready to spend $8 to $12 per adult beverage, and by adult beverage I mean cheap wine and domestic draft beer. I thought I was at DTE for a moment. I thoroughly enjoyed Cats. The show was amazing!

Please, tell me why there is a federal state of emergency being declared but the Fisher will not cancel Fiddler on the Roof this weekend and give everyone a refund? For God’s sake, Broadway, the NBA, MLB, NHL have all closed but NOT the Fisher? What is wrong with you? You should be ASHAMED!!!! I will NEVER again be a patron of yours. AWFUL!!!!!!!

Love the old style auditorium...however, seats are not comfortable At all! Especially the arm rests but its a small price to pay for the ambience. Most of the time when its a stellar show you dont notice. I won Anastasia lottery tickets at $25 a piece and were given $139 seats!! 3 row!Wish the concessions still had Jordan almonds or at least some classier candy. And definitely too long of lines for the ladies room!

Enjoy coming to the historic Fisher Theatre in Detroit. They do a great job on scheduling shows for all of us to enjoy. I do seem to have trouble hearing and understanding actors and singers here. Its most likely time to update the sound here. I dont seem to have any issues elsewhere. Just got home from vegas where I saw a couple of shows in larger venues and understood every word.

Beautiful venue...great shows played here. I do find however that the volunteer usher staff is much more professional in appearance and personality than the majority of the Fisher Theatre staff, mainly the women...they could be dressed more professionally for their roles and treat the volunteers more maturely and professionally. Otherwise a beautiful venue to see a live show!

We came here during Broadway in Detroit and saw Finding Neverland and it was awesome! The theatre itself was absolutely breathtaking! The detail that went into everything was impeccable and truly a one of a kind experience. If you are a fan of the theatre you should add this one to your bucket list. I really do believe that there is something very special about Detroit theatres. I have been to several in Kentucky and Florida and I just was not impressed. I will be more than happy to come here again for more shows!

The interior of the building is amazing. reminds me of the St. Louis Basilica: the outside is nice, the inside is fantastic. If you like photography, like me, then you can easily spend 1.5 hours exploring the first three floors. The basement is worthwhile visiting as well. There is actually a tunnel all the way to the Renaissance Center; however you need to have an access pass to exit.Have not been to the theater itself, on my to-do list for sure :)

Beautiful location for Broadway in Detroit! The Fisher is a different experience visually than the Fox or the Opera House, but it was still impressive, classy, and gave a great backdrop to the show. We were pleasantly surprised by the cups from concessions being branded and take-home ready; it was a fun, free (well...probably not when we spent $40 on 3 drinks) memento of our evening. Really great, friendly staff all around, and we cant wait to go back!

Timeless. The Golden Tower grandeur of the Fisher Building is a good enough excuse for going there. The beautiful Albert Kahn Art Deco 1928 building is a masterpiece. The theater was redesigned in 1961 and took on a mid century modern decor. You can see Broadway and prebroadway shows here. The acoustics are not the best, but the seating and service and sight lines are great. Make sure you take the time to snap some pictures in the incredible lobby.

Easy to find and covered parking close to the theater. Felt safe around and inside the building. The building itself is just beautiful a must-see. The seating is older and not too comfortable. Its a bit run down inside. We sat in the upper balcony which wasnt too good at all. Its very steep up there and hard to see and hear, but not a deal-breaker. Sometimes thats all you can afford. Would definitely go back and try for the main floor. Trying to leave the parking structure was horrible. Sat in line over 20 minutes without even moving. Then stop and go was a good 20 minutes with everybody trying to cut in. Either leave early to avoid this problem or be prepared.

Lovely old theatre. Many theatres get very hot in the upper section as heat from the lights and the crowd builds up over time during the performance. We were pleasantly surprised this was not the case here. We were comfortable the entire performance. Due to the old building the bathroom locations are a bit strange, but still good facilities.

Im in this place 5 days a week. I walk through it to get from a parking structure to my job. Its historic. But the new owners are kind of odd. They drove out many of the long-time businesses and now have empty slots. The theater is nice but I prefer the Michigan Opera House for plays. The Fisher is long from the stage while the MOH is wide and narrow across the stage. The MOH configuration assures that nobody sits at a distance that makes viewing poor.

The ticket scanners took their jobs a bit too seriously and were rude. The theatre itself though is quite nice. Try little area of new center hasnt had the same revival midtown has, and its too the detriment of the theatre experience.

The theater itself and the actors are awesome. Went to see finding neverland, and their props and special effects were excellent, there are scenes where the actors create a pirate ship on stage with sails that blew my mind, it looked so good. The refreshments are always expensive at shows, however, I do think that they have a lack of options when it comes to snacks. Its a petty thing to complain about so Im not going to downgrade them for it, I was just looking forward to some popcorn. The only other stuff they have are candied nuts, cookies, some variety of candy, and pretzels. The staff was nice, and the place didnt seem too crowded like the fox theater can get sometimes. The place was super clean. When it comes to alcoholic products, they give you these plastic cups which I can only describe as adult sippy cups, that are pretty nifty. The interior is pretty cool and has a nice atmosphere. The historical architecture, especially outside the theater, is fun to look at. Especially if you appreciate architecture and history.
