Great experience here. A little more expensive than some other local places like it... But still a really fun puzzle room experience. A decent story, and the staging, room building, and ambiance, were all really well done.

This place was awesome, the host Ryan was great. Cant wait to go again everyone should go try this out

My husband and I just went for my birthday, Escape the Room Detroit was an awesome experience! It was challenging in the most fun sense of the word! Our guide, Ryan, was super funny and helpful too. Can’t wait to come back and try the other rooms. I highly recommend Escape the Room Detroit if you’re interested in a real life challenging puzzle game experience!

This place is great, Did the Rec Room with some friends the other night. Maddy was a great host and the room was so much fun! Lots of different activities to keep you guessing and wanting more!

We did the agent room and we loved it!! Ryann was our assistant and he was so amazing. Highly recommend this place.

I had the most fun here and it was so exciting solving the puzzles with my friends. The instructor was very kind and very informative during the game. I will be coming back.

My co-workers and I went as a bonding event. We had a great time. We did the Dig Room. It was set up very well. I really liked that we were literally escaping to another room. I liked it so much I decided to go back for my birthday.

Very very fun. Diverse rooms so there’s something for everyone. Went on a Saturday night last minute and it wasn’t crowded. The agency room is quite the challenge. Staff is wonderful and Maddy was a great clue master. Definitely a must try if you haven’t and don’t have anything to do on the weekend, will absolutely be back!

So much fun! The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a good balance of being challenging but not impossible. We did the agency escape room and it was a lot of fun! Loved all the little details. This was my first escape room and Id definitely come back!

Definitely worth the money. It was fun filled an hour. Team work was very important. Also, they validated our parking in the nearby structure, that was nice of them. I would like to come again for another escape room here as they have multiple rooms with different missions.

My group and I experienced the room The Dig. The twists and turns as we made our way through were surprising and exciting. The eight of us all had a good time working together, and we escaped. I would love to come back and try another room!

It was an interesting and enjoyable experience. It seems like they try to fit in a group of 10 people at a time. We were only 6 and we ended up with 4 other people we didnt know. Not a big problem, but I would have preferred to have the whole room to our group.

Fun Group event! I loved the way the room unfolded as well as all of the special effects. More interesting and exciting than other rooms I have done.

My son and I went to the room. We were the only ones in the room and although we didnt win, it was fun. You really have to use your brain and listen well and look at everything. Im ready to do it again. I highly recommend this as a very different but exciting game.

I messed up our reservation, completely my fault. I called and left a brief message Sunday morning ~10:15, a rep called me back at ~11:30. I consider this excellent response time as it was Sunday morning an hour and a half before they open.The rep was great, totally resolved the problem with no hesitation. She could have easily have said, rules are rules. If the experience is half as good as the customer service, our group is going to have a fantastic time!

Really fun experience! Went with a small group, 7 of us in total, and we made it out with some time to spare. Team work, critical thinking, and listening are all very important to get out in time. Would definitely go again and try a different room.

Great escape room experience. They help you when you are really lost but still make you think. We did “The Dig.” The room is difficult but, at the end, you do understand the logic of trying to figure everything out. The people that work there are incredibly nice which makes the experience even better.

I went with my three younger brothers. My initial thought was oh my this is going to be intense due to the waiver! But it was not an intense event. It was lots of fun. We picked the agency 2 room. Although we did not win the game it was lots of fun!! The tour guides were very knowledgeable and the clues were very helpful. I will be returning!

This is the original Escape the Room franchise and is excellent. Weve done all 3 rooms and cant wait till they add more. We tried escaping the rec room this time so brush up on your 80s events. Jake was great helping us out with clues when we needed them.

My first escape room and it was a blast. I went with 2 others and overall a group of 7 .It was super cool and very fun. I guess only 20% of people complete it and we did.

Escape the Room was awesome. The room we were in had a spy story line that was really well thought out, and the way the different clues wove together was really engaging. We did manage to escape the room as time was running out, but even if we hadnt it would have still been a blast.

I went with 6 other people to The Dig Escape Room. It was very fun but definitely had room for improvement. If it were just a themed room to find an escape from, it would have made more sense but there was a story given before the room. We had a storyline and the answer to this mystery was never solved at the end so that was a bit disappointing. On the other hand, it leaves you to your own ideas of what may have happened.

Well organized! Something for everyone to experience at least once. Good fun.

Enjoyed ourselves, unfortunately we were not able to solve all clues. Will definitely go back and recommend to family and friends.

Very fun place. Great for friends and family or for team building with coworkers. Dont worry about claustrophobia, the rooms have plenty of room. However you can be let out the room at any time if you feel uncomfortable. A great experience.

We loved the James Bond room. Challenging but logical and cool clues, and clue master was great.

Had fun and an amazing set up in the heart of Detroit. Seems small, but definitely a room full of surprises.

Pricey (especially if your group wants a room without anyone else because you have to buy up all of the tickets to ensure that) but pretty good experience.

This is our 2nd Escape Room at this location. The first room (the Dig) we did not escape. Let me say this USE YOUR RESOURCES to beat The Dig.Our second room was the Rec Room. We won by the hair of our chinny chin chin. We had 1 minute left on the clock. It was like a real TV show but all in all. We had a great time and the puzzles tricky. Escape Room Detroit is known for 1 super tricky puzzle but stay focused.Great place for bonding with friends or co-workers. Definitely go check it out but make sure you bring a few friends. These rooms are not made for 2 people.

So much fun!!! We did the 80s theme and actually the beat the game with 6 minutes left. They have so many themes to choose from, I cant wait to go back and do the Alice in wonderland escape room .

Good challenge and a ton of fun!We did the Rec Room which is an 80s themed room in which you have to solve puzzles, riddles etc to try and exit the room. All the clues are right in front of you but as easy as it might sound, youll have to think too.Awesome way to spend some time, and the quickest hour (or less) Ive ever had.

Tons of fun. I cant imagine a better Team Building activity. My work team of 10 enjoyed a full hour of TEAMWORK! Working very closely together, relying on one another. building trust and all with the common goal of escaping. The excitement & fun levels were also very high. I recommend for work teams or simply to have good clean fun!!!

2.16.19 my wife, brother, sister, brother-in-law and I went to the Detroit escape room. It was my first time doing the escape room. The clue master was cool and provided clues when we seriously needed some guidance. We also had three other individuals that participated in our The Agency room. It was very fun, we worked together very well and completed the task and escaped with one minute to spare. A must do for small groups just to switch group activities up a bit. Well done escape room. I will be back!

Let me first say, I had an amazing time. No my group didn’t make it out in the hour, we were disappointed. The experience was exciting. My fiancé and I, was group with another couple that we didn’t know. We worked together to solve the room, we failed. Overall I will definitely try again

A group of friends and I were planning my best friends birthday weekend since she lives in New York now and was flying back home to Detroit for the occasion. We needed a fun activity that a group of 9 could do together, but something we havent done before (as a group). We booked ETR and were really impressed with our experience! We were made to have to work together as a collective in order to progress successfully and beat the clock. The overall experience, from the representative who gives you your quick orientation, to the intricate detail that goes into the storyline, to the discoveries you make about your friends and their problem solving skills lol, to the photo (complete with props) at the end, all made for an extremely fun, challenging, unique exhilarating experience. It is the kind of thing you look for when you want to create great memories with others. And honestly, it was a highlight for my best friends birthday weekend festivities! Everyone had a great time and shared moments that we will be talking and laughing about years from now! And yes, We Escaped The Room!

Staff & “Clue Master” were very friendly & helpful! We did “The Dig” & we didn’t make it, but waa super close. It was a wonderful experience all around. It is a bit pricey ($30 per person), but the rooms seemed worth it (includes free parking). I would definitely go again with friends!

This was my second escape room, & the first time we escaped (Secret Agent Room). The staff was nice & helpful, I like that they communicated via screen instead of being in the room. It was clear they were still very very attentive! If you park at Greektown they reimburse you and give you some sort of coupon pass (I didnt know about this, but my sister parked there). They have fun stuff to do in the lobby while you wait, thought that was a nice touch!

My first time at an escape room so I have nothing really to compare it with. I will say that my family had a lot of fun trying to figure it all out. The clues were such that it took all of us to figure things out. We got some help from the people that work there and we were within 10 minutes of solving the puzzle when our time ran out.

I had a great time and really enjoyed my experience. My group of friends had fun and the room really exercised my brain power. My only complaint and the reason Im not giving them 5 stars is because they wouldnt validate our parking, which they said they would in an email sent to us earlier that day due to an event (Christmas Tree lighting). So we had to pay double the normal rate of parking and the rep for Escape room didnt seem to care that the company was going back on its word to validate parking so we were out an extra $20 all of us. Had we known the company wouldnt validate parking, we wouldve just parked on the street.

Clues to solve the puzzles was not well thought out. The logic flow of puzzles was not there. The GM had to be involved the entire way because of the bad logic. Received mixed messages in the beginning from the GM, which confused us even more because we were told not to do certain things, but we were supposed to do them. We HAD to use our cell phones in the room to do research on google. I have never done an escape room that required your phone. Just think if your team walks in with dead phones, you WILL fail because you didnt have an outside resource. Escape rooms should be designed where you have minimal interactions with GM and everything can be solved using only the items in the room.

The puzzles are not real and are unsolvable without copious amounts of help by the staff. What I mean by not real is they watch you do things on camera then flip a switch to complete the task for you. So push the button. But the button isnt actually a real button. They just want to see you make the motion to push the make believe button before youre allowed to progress. We won but again it would had been impossible without the staff endlessly supplying directions...

High level place! There is no lack of time and thought put into these escape rooms! Visually stunning

The room they say is the easiest was actually kind of difficult and I have done a few rooms before. They give plenty of hints when they see you need them. Only 3 stars because at the end when they showed us how to get out, they expected us to use our phones. Even if we made it to the end we would have never got out due to this. I didnt expect to have to use my phone. This was very frustrating and I honestly would rather go somewhere else.
