I loved LA RAZA COMMUNITY PARK (not Columbus Park). We went to a petition signing to officially change the name of the park to what it should be--representing the community it is in; not a deplorable oppressor. This lovely park has walkways, plenty of trees & grads, eye-catching flowers, a playground, 2 basketball ½ courts and a cool, raised gathering area with a colorful ceiling.

Beautiful neighborhood park with a pyramid monument dedicated to Denvers Northside community and history, a recreational area with a slide and basketball courts. You can see children playing and families gathering around in the park, its quite a lively spot.

It has so much potential... But it is a bit dirty with some homeless that need help. The grass is green and healthy and the playset is great if a bit beat up by teenagers... A good place for a Saturday or Sunday picnic when the sun is out. I think if more people used it and helped keep it clean it could be so much better.

Best park in Denver for skateboarding and its not a skatepark. Bonus. Cities should realize that a skatepark doesnt have to cost millions more than they need to. A park like this can entertain all walks and cultures. Skateboarding protects that. TY La Raza Park.

Review №60

Sadly, this park is neglected by the city of Denver and the very people it is intended to serve. Fast food trash -- typically Chubbys telltale chile-smeared stapled paper plates or from some other fine establishment -- is consumed in or while parked alongside the park on Navajo or Osage and left on the ground, picnic tables, or dumped from an open car window or door. Throw in dirty diapers, beer cans (Modelo and Tecate seem to be popular) and soda bottles for good measure. You get the picture. The vagrants whove claimed this public property as their own cannot be bothered to pick up after themselves, either.A tragedy-of-the-commons classic. Come see for yourself.
