This center sits on a gorgeous park with huge evergreen trees and lots of cawing crows. It is a wonderful place to walk and about a mile around the park.
It was very nice. Good weather and lots of friendly activity. Nice place for a jog
This review is for the park by the rev center:- two playgrounds, one older one in good shape. One newer one that looks fun and challenging for kids 5+. Not much shade in playgrounds but shade nearby. We will be back to check it out!- big open grassy space- lots of mature trees- tennis courts- picnic areas
Experienced the park this morning and was extremely pleased with the cleanliness and an obviously well maintained park.
An amazing rec center with a basketball court and a pool, and amazing gym equipment
A good neighborhood rec center with helpful staff. Was hoping for better quality swim instruction for my child. Not enough private shower/changing facilities for current standards.
Love this center, the therapy pool is so nice..Staff is friendly and very helpful..exercise room is great..
Came here for the outdoor park which is nice. Pool looks nice. What I can’t understand is a rec center that is open 13 hours / day and closed almost the entire weekend? 9a-1p on Saturday and closed Sunday. Doesn’t make much sense to me.
Looks Extremely KREEPY. WHAT IS THE STEMMERS HIDDEN KINDA IN THE MIDDLE ALL ABOUT?
If I could give this place 0 Stars I would. After allowing my service dog and I to enter and go to the pool area the Lifeguard insisted that we leave because my dog was not wearing her credentials.. I am well aware of my rights as a service animal owner and know that they have no right to ask me for her credentials. But even if they had they should have asked at the front when they ask for my identification instead of waiting until all the kids were in the pool and enjoying themselves
A little weird but a nice park
Didnt go inside, but it looked nice from outside
Great staff! Small community center.
I came here for an afternoon of swimming pool with my family and my friend brought her service dog with her. We called ahead confirm this was okay and the man at the front desk confirm that it was okay I have the dog with us as long as we did not let the dog into the pool. The Lifeguard however had a different opinion and take us out of the pool and also called the police... Im pretty sure this is not the dream that mr. King had envisioned...
Good place to workout not crowded and they have a real nice pool and friendly staff
It will be nice when the swimming pool is back up and running. The therapy pool was great. They need this at other rec centers. Very helpful
Still closed due to Co-VID 19
Love working out there never too busy
Has a nice pool but the weight area sucks. Its about the size of a studio apartment and antiquated. One garbage flat bench. No incline bench. Decent power rack. Trash Smith machine. Dumbbells up to 90lbs. And assorted machines. Ive gotta find a better rec center.
They have showers for homeless. And they take care of the kids after school until the parents get there. Trey have a gym . lockers, and a big gym . and a room to play games and watch t.v. and a game room. The people are helpful. It cost 10$ a year . and they have good parties and they have handy cap bath plus showers. Rooms that have computor rooms. And room Im not sure of its an excellent place to go.
The gym is right there when u first walk in it has treadmills, excerise bikes and more and then there is a gym which is awesome for basketball
Really nice park to jog or walk. Picnic area. Street parking all around. Playground, basket ball court, tennis court. Rec. Ctr. Open everyday except Sunday. Indoor pool, bball court, exercise room with weights. The center requires membership fee. Handicap accessible. I go there to walk...once around is 1200 steps.
Very good rec center with a adjoining quiet, and clean park.
Wouldn’t recommend this place. Pool staff is rude and feels like they are just watching every single thing you are doing. Didn’t make me or my family feel comfortable. Personal opinion.
The pool is much better than I anticipated, not only it was cleaner than many other places but also the lifeguards were much more focused on their job.
This is where I go to do my water aerobics and get my workout on.... great place to get in shape and stay in shape.
Fun small & newer playground.
Great outdoor pickleball, tennis, and basketball courts!
Very cute playground. My daughter had a blast
Took swimming lessons here as an adult. I was a little out of place because I am older but since not many adults take swimming lessons, I had a private teacher for all 8-10 classes I had. I loved it and learned a lot in the month of classes. Would def. Take again.
Nice clean well taken care of.
Small park, 2 playgrounds, tennis courts and outdoor ping pong table, lots of grassy areas.
Very fun.. Please add more parj
I used to go to this wreck as a child and I used to go the church accross the street.. its awesome. Recreation center is still doing it staying providing health and athletic and conditioning programs for The local youth and adults alike
Quiet rec center. Wonderful therapeutic pool. Wish the city would do some upgrades to the weight room.
Great for seniors. Large therapy pool. Mike at the front desk is A+
Good place to take a shower or sit in the therapy pool.
Only Denver rec center with a therapy pool and sauna ...super friendly staff makes my drive time well worth it
The racquetball court is nice, and it seems to be less hot in temperature then the other places I been
I grew up here! Glad to be back to teach my kids basketball here
Always great
All love in the rec!
Best rec centerThey have sauna and hot poolOff Sunday and close everyday from 1:3 pm
Denver Parks & Rec hidden gem. This is a smaller rec center. Amenities include basketball court, handball courts, therapy pool, swimming pool, and weight room. There are two things that set MLK apart from all the other small rec centers in Denver:(1) The Employees. The staff at MLK takes the time to really get to know their customers. I feel like Im visiting friends every time I walk in. They foster and maintain a culture of kindness and fairness.(2) The Clientele. The typical MLK customer is older and retired, but still very active and healthy. This mature clientele follows polite gym etiquette. Weights are always put away. Cardio equipment is wiped down after every use. Swimming lanes are courteously shared.
Great staff and the therapy pool is worth the price of admission
This place has a sauna and a therapy pool. Nice and comfortable
Low brow but has everything you need and not crowded
Relaxing therapy
Excellent place to workout! Has everything you need.
I love the hills
Great playground for the kids
Theres a few controversial people up there I just have to steer clear other than that its one of the recreation centers I go too often.
Pools really warm hottest in Denver Park system
Love this place!
Love the therapy pool
Great
Great pool
Library, nice and quiet
Pretty busy street but it was in good condition
Great
Great therapy pool!
Old gym and old equipment but not many people and I like that.
Giant therapy pool
Best therapy pool in Denver!
One of the cheapest ways to get on a racquetball court in Denver.
