Absolutely awesome experience! We did the happy hour class. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a unique date night or outing. Everyone there is super nice & accommodating. The glass pieces they create are beautiful and a great keepsake. We cant wait to go back!

I had an excellent experience custom ordering a glass mug from the Glass Academy. After consulting about the design of the mug via phone, they made the mug live on a Facebook video. It was very cool and entertaining to watch the mug being made. The end product is unique and gorgeous and will make a very special and memorable gift. And it will be all the more special when the recipient can watch how it was made. I am a very satisfied customer and will be recommending the Glass Academy to friends and family!

Feels good to be attending the just restarted classes. They did an excellent job with small class sizes to maintain social distancing and masks were required at all times. Jake, the instructor, was quite knowledgeable and I left the class feeling I had learned much today.

I’ve been to the gallery for Pumpkin Fest and have had custom pumpkins made.The live feeds take me into the gallery from my home out of state on Tuesday and Friday nights.It’s a place where Chris, Michelle and Jake have created custom items for my garden and some of the cutest slugs ever.Hope to see you all again in person and take a class!

If you love art glass as much as I do, this is your place. Seasonal selection all made on site. Not some of those serious glass blowers that make shapes and objects that is more at museum, they make items like pumpkins, snowman, garden slugs, and other objects you find in gardens. You CAN find glasses and mugs if you need a cool one. Prices are more than fair for art glass. If you have a dry dark humor like I do you can even get Coronavirus that wont make any one sick.

I first discovered The Glass Academy at the Michigan Renaissance Festival and after purchasing a few glass pieces signed up for their leaf class. I fell in love with the experience and the studio. I have attended a few of their classes, including their Mother’s Day event. I couldn’t wait to share the experience with my family. We were treated as VIP the entire time we were there. The service is exceptional. The owners are in the studio interacting with the customers and you feel welcomed. Their glass pieces are beautiful and I have never been disappointed in my purchases. I love supporting this small local business and encourage others to check them out.

This place is the best! The live demos on FB are my obsession since I discovered them 2 weeks ago. I’ve already bought and picked up items I’ve watched being made online and I love everything I’ve gotten!! I am looking forward to visiting when they can open again and taking a class when they can offer them again. Highly recommended!!!

I just recently found the Glass Academy’s “LIVE” feeds on Tuesday and Friday at 6pm est on Facebook. Not only is it educational, and entertaining it’s LIVE—— and you can actually purchase some of the items made on that feed. You can also place a custom order and possible watch it being made. I’m addicted to watching and actually count the days to the next live feed. If you’re looking for something pretty amazing—- tune in and enjoy the creativity at the Glass Academy.

I have continuously been impressed but Glass Academy. During the stay at home order, they’ve been posting live videos on glassblowing techniques and product creating. My son loves watching them make things!When we’ve visited in person, they have some of the most unique glass items around and they are such a great quality. From the sweet bunnies around Easter to the icicle ornaments at Christmas and lawn ornaments in the summer, they really carry an array of beautiful pieces. They also hold classes, such as designing your own beer mug or simple things, like paperweights, it’s always a unique experience whenever you go.

I found this place last fall at their pumpkin show and immediately fell in love! Everything is different and unique and you can get customs at no extra cost! Ive gotten so many cool things, to sit down or chat with the artist themselves and bounce ideas off each other is a cool experience. I even got to see it in person being made!

This place is amazing and unique! I have taken several classes there to create several things aound my house and yard. The classes are a great experience to bolster your creativity and are great date night activities as well. They have something for almost every holiday. I especially love my custom Christmas tree, snowman and my beer mug (which has come in handy during the pandemic since my beer consumption is up). But my favorite items are the things I made during the classes; Michigan icicle, reed, paperweight and coin. Cant wait to get back to some more classes!

We took the icicle class, with Logan, on December 6th! It was awesome! Sarah, Dan, and Logan were so friendly and helpful! We will definitely be back again! Here is a picture of our completed project.

I got my wife a Detroit Puddle and a gift certificate a gift a few years ago.... I had no idea what I was starting! She LOVES this place, the classes, the variety of pieces to buy, the owners and instructors, everything. Shes taken a variety of classes and even dragged me along (literally) ... the first time. I had a great time and was surprised at how well my piece came out. The next time, I went not only willingly, but eagerly! The instructors are great, theyre fun, helpful, knowledgable, and very patient with nervous newcomers. Weve been thoroughly enjoying their live feeds during this time of quarantine and really look forward to the time they can reopen for classes so we can make some new pieces of our own! Watch their live feeds and, by all means, as soon as you can go for a class, an event, or just to shop, youll be glad you did!

This is my third live Facebook show watching the Glass Academy. I tuned in on the off chance I might enjoy it. Let me just say, I love the Glass Academy. I have made a few custom mugs there with my friends, but I didnt think the live Facebook show could compete with seeing glass blown in person. WRONG. The up close camera angles, insights, and banter between the family has been absolutely fantastic. They are so insightful and every time I watch I learn something new. It is so cool to watch them experiment and develop ideas. They are so good at explaining the process and how they develop new ideas. And they are always so authentically enthusiastic about their work. Ill tune in again. For absolute sure.

I had my team come in for a team building happy hour last saturday. We had a group of 8 people and the team at the Glass Academy really made our experience a blast. The instructor was both informative and a crazy good artist. Cant wait to do it again.

I had a great experience creating glass hearts for Valentines day! Our instructor was kind, thorough, and had 25 years experience creating glass designs. Very impressed. One point: your glas creation takes 3 days to cool down, so you have to pick it up later. NOT OPEN SUNDAY! Hours on google are wrong.

Took my mom for Mothers day and had an absolute blast! We ended up making the garden glass reed. It came out beautifully! The showroom is also very impressive, tons of items for purchase without having to make it yourself!

I first started following when the Glass Academy was kind enough to donate a gift certificate to Paws for Life Rescue (thank you thank you!) but I have been absolutely blown away by the Facebook live sessions! Its been really interesting overall but watching the process of the slugs being created has been wonderful. I really hope that when the world gets back to normal, whatever that is, the Facebook live sessions continue! Thank you for sharing your process as well as pieces.

We have shopped at the gallery, seen them at the Renaissance Festival and taken a couple campfire classes. And no matter which we were doing, we were greeted with a warm welcome by an extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. The classes were fun and well run. I went here for my birthday with some family and friends. It was a uniquely fun experience. Everyone loved their flowers or paperweights and we would definitely go back to make more! Each employee was friendly and very informative. I loved learning about the process of glass making too.

I love this place! My mom, sisters and I took a class for mothers day making flowers. We had so much fun and learned a lot. The instructor, Jason, was funny, patient and a great teacher. Ive gone in a couple times for small gifts and they are always so well received. I cant wait to go back for another class!

I went to the Glass Academy with my wife and granddaughter. It was our third time going. All of us had a great time watching the demonstrations and looking at all of the unique items in the display area. We bought 2 pumpkins. The quality was outstanding. We drove from Clinton Township and the drive was well worth it. We plan on going back for the Christmas items. I would definitely recommend for anybody to go here, you will be glad you did.

We absolutely love this place from the Eggstravaganza all through the year to the Holiday in Glass! Ornaments, holiday gifts, pumpkin decorations and even Detroit themed pieces can be found. On the special event days there are glass blowing demonstrations that are fun and entertaining! They even offer classes. To quote a famous commercial - try it youll like it!

Cool glassblowing studio that was a lot of fun for my wife and I. Got to watch several pieces being make. You can even have them make a custom piece for you and watch it get made. Went during the pumpkin exhibit. Have a lot of beautiful glass pieces for sale at reasonable prices considering they we hand made. Highly recommend.

I have been enjoying going to The Glass Academy for a number of years. Ive taken a few classes and have attended their special events. It is always a great experience whether hands on in class or observing the creative process.

My daughter and I took the percolla reed class in June. It was very educational and fun. I was definitely a beginner and had so much fun and love my reed. Joey our instructor was so nice and patient, he really made the class fun. I would love to do another class soon.

Just wanna day this, these guys go over and beyond to make everything you want the way you want it! I went here for the first time 3 years ago and I now have 25 pumpkins and 10 Easter eggs! Mostly customs. I go back every year. We had a problem the first year with a pumpkin we custom made ( was our fault) and they exchanged it with another. Super friendly. If you ever have an idea and wanna know if they can do it, seriously, just ask them. I brought an idea up with them and they had to do some research ( cause it had to do with ashes) but got back with me right away. But they can do just about anything! Just ask!
