Nice venue for events. We actually stopped here while working our way through the Dayton History Trail during our Ohio TuesDayTrips adventure. The historical significance was boxing. Jack Dempsey and Joe Louis as well as Muhammad Ali were all here.

Beautiful old building has lots of potential, but isnt there yet. Smelled of mildew, bathrooms were in horrible condition. Only one elevator has been installed, so prepare for lots of steps. No designated parking-we donated $5 to a man in the neighboring lot only to almost get towed a few hours later. The surrounding area had only one pizza place open on a Saturday to get lunch and Jimmy Johns wont deliver here, either. So the location made what was a lovely dance competition into a less than enjoyable day. Downtown Dayton can surely do better by this historic site.

The building is a little dated but the auditorium was nice for a dance competition. There was a bat in the building which made for a few interesting moments.

I went to a masquerade dance competition here, its a really nice place to have a competition but it has a smell of an old place and its not very pleasant. Also alot of the paint is coming of the walls in the basement were all the dressing rooms are. Whenever you go back stage its pretty small too and the stage was a little slippery. But aside from all of that I loved how big the auditorium was and how big the dressing rooms were! I had a fun time.

Large facility, and friendly people, but showing its age. Maintenance issues, and upkeep issues. For the mold sensitive: this place ranks subjectively a 9 (with 10 being the worst) and the lobby is the worst. There have likely been many water leaks, with no or improper remediation, and a mold sensitive person WILL be affected.

Dance Competition. Hotter than hinges of Hades. No A.C. People were literally passing out from the heat in May. Outdoor temp was 80.

This place was in bad shape. Had daughters dance competition here and there was no air conditioning (several dancers passed out), bathrooms were disgusting ( doors didn’t latch and they were not kept clean or filled with toilet paper and paper towels). Many other areas seemed in need of desperate repair. Glad our dance studio will not be returning to this venue. It needs some MAJOR attention!

This has a nice stage but seats are old and cramped, dont touch under seats as gum could be stuck. Railings tend to be held with duct tape and break.
