I have taken all the art work I want framed to The Paint Chip for more than 15 years. They are really collaborative, paying special attention to the colors and feel of the work Ive brought in and good at incorporating my own ideas. Only once was I unhappy with the work and the owner immediately stepped in, worked with me, and redid the job. It turned out that what I decided on cost more than the original job, but she didnt charge me for it; in fact, she gave me a discount when I paid the rest of the cost. Their employees are helpful, patient, and generally care about their clients I cant be more happy with their work and store. I am looking forward to their reopening!

This art supply store is quaint and friendly, while providing the essential art supplies, including on-trend, popular choices. Stasia was a breath of fresh air while checking us out, adding to the friendly ambiance. The staff provide knowledgeable assistance while staying respectful while you browse. I highly recommend this store.

You ask for help they give you help. Good customer service. Very neat and clean.

**BUYER BEWARE** I purchased an art portfolio folder yesterday. No one said anything to me at the time of purchase. An orange slip of paper was stapled to my receipt which I did not look at when I received the receipt. The portfolio folder was not the right size. I went to return it today, one day later. Apparently, the orange slip of paper informed me that the store only gives store credit or exchange; there are no straight-out refunds. I complained. The clerk called the manager. The manager basically said, Thats store policy. What???? This is the 21st century. I will never shop at this store again. I will drive the seven miles to Woodland to shop at Michaels.

Amazing service, they helped me finish an urgent last minute job I had to do. Really over and beyond what they had to do. Thanks!

Value for money. Also 10 % discount for students is cool.

They havent changed their hours to closed. It still said open. Its just annoying.

Staff is friendly and knowledgable! I usually go there for framing. Excellent service. I think the prices are good for framing. And they really do well with custom orders.

This is my favorite art store, a little pricey but they have everything I need everytime

Really nice selection of quality art and craft supplies for a tiny store. Staff is great: they cheerfully help you find anything.

Small store with most supplies you would need. The employees seem mostly to be artists themselves, their input and close attention to your needs is so helpful.

Staff is nice and welcoming. They are knowledgeable about art, and theyve helped me kickstart my artistic journey.

Great service they’ll answer any questions you might have and they have a wide selection of anything you might need without overwhelming you with options.

Wonderful downtown art store. The staff are extremely helpful. Great place to have framing done (frame purchase or custom framing)

Great selection, great people, great service! But it has a cost.Support local business!

The Paint Chip has been framing pictures for me for years and they have always done excellent work and explained options. Parking downtown Davis is always a challenge, but thats not to blame on the Paint Chip.

My wife and I always stop by and see what is new. You have a great store. Kelley was very helpful and knowledgeable.Your store is very special, and full of good folks.

Good store. Friendly staff. But really expensive - Especially way too much for young artists

Cute art supply store with great staff who are helpful and kind. I could easily lose track of time here because there are so many quality supplies.
