09/05/2020: I went biking here with my family (10 of us) and had a lot of fun. The trail is clean, not crowded, and well maintained. We biked for 13 miles and called it a day. The scenery was nice with lots of trees and shade. Seeing the river and lakes/ponds along the trail were nice. The part of the trail that we biked was relatively flat, which was great. No major hills to try to bike up and down from. The smell of trash was noticeable at times with the dump being not too far away. It wasn’t too bad, but my 7 year old niece said a few times that it stunk. LolI would definitely come here again.

This trail is one of the hidden gems in Dallas. Completely paved concrete trail wanders through miles of dense forest, past gorgeous lakes and sprawling plains. Definitely worth biking or hiking.

Its a beautiful place to go for a walk, a hike, fishing or a picnick day. Bring insect repellent. Be aware of your surroundings for animals. If you take your dog make sure you have it on a leach. The place is beautiful but people need to help keep the place clean. We saw a lot of trash. Wonderful for a bike ride.

Long trail perfect for bike ride, run, or walk. Plenty of space and length with loads of shaded areas and views of the river. A great way to take a break, get away, and enjoy nature.

Pretty flowers and a nice place to get some urban wild near Dallas. The Trinity Forest Trail takes you over to the Audubon Center. Here you can pick up the AT&T Trail. You can force about a 7.3 mile loop but youll have to climb an embankment up to Parkway and travel on the busy road for about a quarter of a mile.

Great trail to go cycling on. It borders with the trinity audubon and its very long and very shaded. If you start at the trail head and ride to the end it is about 8 miles. Round-trip 16 miles. I would recommend coming early in the morning after sunrise. Hardly anyone on the trail. But with that being said, if you are a single lady like myself, be very cautious because there are long stretches deep into the forest and far from roads. I came with a couple friends just to be on the safe side. I wouldnt recommend coming close to sunset. Looks like the trail can get really dark and creepy and there are signs posted about wild cats, snakes and other critters being in the area. Only con I had was the constant piles of dog poop I kept coming up on in the trail. So remember, No one likes to step in poo. Please use a bag and not a shoe

Nice paved trail for a walk or bike trip. The trail goes past a few ponds and past Joppa Preserve which has a big open area with large trees. Probably saw around 20-30 people on a Sunday. Some of the areas around the ponds need to be cleaned as people have left trash.

I went there in 2012 (and had to dig through my photos to find them as I had titled it Joppa Preserve). If I recall correctly It was a nice trail that I had sought out to find some red ibis (or a similar bird--either way I didnt find any) that were rumored to have flown outside of their coastal region, in search inland for small lakes (they were posing an ecological destruction in some wetlands due to dryer climate requiring them to search for freshwater climate.) Some had photographs from the area online (I think I had uploaded some photos online from an airshow and came across it.) Its a short trail and is far more an outdoor park.

Nice bike trails, though theyre a bit winding making it difficult to maintain speed and there are several spots that remain under standing water long after rainfall. Very nice natural area though, it doesnt feel like youre in texas.

A concrete hike/bike trail through the Joppa Preserve and the Trinity Audabon Center. Passes by several lakes, and over the Trinity. Great addition to this area!

Had a good walk, wish there were dirt trails, like goat island preserve. For a cyclist or runner the wide concrete pathway would fit the bill. Not a good place to go unless the wind is from north, west. Landfill to the south stinks! Only reason not 5 star!
