1st tine here... and so far it is the worst place i have ever been... not even one star it deserves... very disapointed...

After three long years of not going out, we were able to get together and go out like the old times. We gather up for our friends birthday, and reserved two tables. Although the name on the reservation was wrong and the waitress hardly came by, we still managed to have a good time.

Good atmosphere, great music and drinks. They just need better A/C, too hot and sticky after dancing and then to try and find a fan that isnt already being hogged up...

Its a great place to drink and dance without fear of a fight breaking out. Nice people! One thing that would give it five stars would be to pop more popcorn!! I love eating popcorn while Im drinking crown!!

History of this establishment. It was Crystal Palace Dinner Theater with a stage that rises out of the floor. Then in the mid 70s it became the Palladium Club then in 80 became the Agora. In the 80s it was the Monopoly Park Place. Thank you!

Crowd is good, music is good. Charge for parking?? Why should a club charge for parking? If they were making repairs to the parking lot I’d understand. Bartenders are slow. You will wait in line almost 10 mins. Sometimes longer

Apparently you cant go in there smelling like weed. Got confronted by the white lady officer as soon as my wife and I payed. She came up to me telling me to hand it over, I was like hand what over? Felt like i was back in high school. I explained to her the reason for the smell was because I was smoking on my way here. I guess she felt stupid and gave us our money back and told us to leave.

Im a white girl and I have to say its not too far off from Red River. I love when they line dance and the energy in this place is lit! Ill go again if my Latino friends invite me.

New West has been around for some time now and I’ve known of this place for years! As a matter of fact, I’ve recently started going again with friends, however, I’m most certain this place is prosperous and attracts various cultures, i’ve witnessed it! I come from old school Palladium, High-O, Nations, Monopoly’s, Tejano Rodeó, and the list goes on and on! My perspective on this venue is i don’t see upgrades, you charge for parking when back in the day this never was a part of a club expense, one would SOMETIMES pay for valet parking if it were at all available. I just think that’s asking a bit too much from the consumer, considering this venue has been around for years and still have a good standing for those who enjoy “tejano” music! One other thing, is there any way to bring in new music like: Oscar G and Group Sol, La Fiebre, Excelencia, Joe Lopez, Intocable, La Mafia was very refreshing by the way, thank you for that! I’m just wondering if there’s more artists, bands besides the same ole same ole. As for the dj, maybe be they should add a new list to their music as well and play music from some of the bands i just mentioned, that would definitely be fantastic! Nonetheless, thank you for keeping this place going, and giving us a place to enjoy each other and have a great time! maybe you guys should also consider adding new lounging/setting furniture, that would be very nice as well! thanks!

Used to love the place but now they keep playing way too much of the 80s music and not enough country, tejano or cumbia. We had two great male bartenders and they dont work there anymore. All female bartenders, my wife doesnt like that. Also all the parking is now valet, what the heck!And all the tables are reserved or taken unless you get at 8 PM. Lets work on making this place fun again guys. Were loyal customers but were getting ready to find other stomping grounds.

The New West have very good customer service, food, drinks, live music, valet,and security.

I will never visit this venue again. Unfortunately, this venue is all about money, disrespect and no gentleman value at all. There is nothing wrong with being legitimately profitable, however to grossly take advantage of the consumer is unethical. Think about it... they charge you for valet and also charge you for general parking... why? Because the parking is secure and well lit? No, to the contrary, extremely unsafe parking lot.Walking in, theres a $15 cover before 9pm, $20 after... the tactic/deceit is the band starts at 10pm. Therefore, if arrive at 9pm to save the $5 youre waiting for an hour before the band begins. The average person can consume 3.3 drinks in an hour; at a Dallas average of $7.29 per drink. As a result, the $5 you think you have saved was just spent (and more) in their establishment, and youre still waiting on the band.Theres more, once in and settled, theres no place to sit. And there response get here early see above if you arrive one hour earlier than 9pm. With the $15 cover and drinks you are well over $70 a couple, with 50/50 chance youll stand or sit... and waiting on a band for 2 hours.Now for the personal experience. Its 1am, my wife and 3 other women next to us (did not know the 3 women) have been standing for hours, a VIP section has not been used all night, its an hour from closing dont think anyone will be using this VIP section. As a result, myself and another gentleman grab 4 stools from the VIP for the 4 women standing... 15 minutes later (45 minutes till close) the manager comes over and says, if you want those chairs you have to pay for the VIP $350.00 We left!!Now for the the main reason for this review. Were walking out, theres a Hispanic man selling tamales outside the door, being in the entertainment/customer service business myself... Ive seen this tactic before, so I asked, does the club charge you to sell here his response YES A club that makes thousands a night is charging a man to sell tamales to their customers. No compete threat what so ever. My next letter is to the City of Dallas and the Dallas Morning News. This kind of unethical behavior by any establishment can not be tolerated.

Great place for Tejano and Norteño. The dj also mixes other styles between the playing bands. The ambience is fun and relaxed. Always a pleasure to go back.

Good music. The atmosphere is just fabulous. There is enough space to dance.The drinks are reasonable prices.It is a great place to have a good time.

I love me some New West, theyre always jamming on a Saturday night. It gets pretty krunk on Saturday. They have great bands and an older crowd on Friday, great date night be get there early. Watch out though, I recently had the valet guys take my wallet from my car. Luckily, I took all my cash and canceled my credit cards right away.

Been around for a long time they use to play Tejano all night just went this past Saturday now its just like escapade or 2009....Music has changed.....nortenos and cumbias mostly.

New West has changed.... unfortunately for the worse. We got there early enough (8:45pm) on a Saturday to make sure we got a table. 1st of all, as we drive in we noticed several sections of the parking lot were blocked off leaving very few spaces available which were ALL taken, forcing us to pay for valet $10. We go inside and noticed 80% of the tables had a RESERVED sign on them, the remaining tables were taken of course. Spoke to the waitress who informed me...$85 for a table and $325 for a booth!!! Needless to say, we wont be going back. Theyve lost some faithful customers. Hopefully this review will alert others before they show up.

Valet parking thieves, I went there for my birthday party, went in, left my truck to those ratas at the valet parking and while I was having a good time these hijos de puta went to town thru my stuff and stole cash money I had laying around and still have their ticket with serial number, sad thing is that I still gave em a tip when we left. Low life S.O.BS.
