Dropped off paintings for State Fair competition. Harder to enter the grounds

Such a cool place to see the talents of fellow Texans!

The Texas State Fair at Fair Park is a long time tradition with me... going back over 60 years. (Im 73.) I just love this building because it shows all the arts and crafts done by ordinary people. And, you never can guess what youll see in any given year.

Love the Texas State Fair! Weather was made just for our day there!

Place of learning, beauty,extreme creativity & wonderful art are just a5 few of the things that youll encounter when you walk thru its doors. Way more important than getting a Fletchers Corn Dog or Fried Cheesecake or riding the Texas Star. Its the first thing I look for to go into annually at the State Fair.

This is always our first stop when we visit the State Fair of Texas.. so many crafts. The daily cooking entries are always fun.

I enjoyed everything in there; it was great I was glad I didnt bring my credit card.

So much great art to see! The judges were super helpful and so easy to talk to.

Nice, historic venue. I enjoy coming here, especially during the fair, but even when the fair is not in session, its a great place to visit.I just wish there would be a more parking closer to the building!

Gorgeous hand made quilts! Beautiful hand crafted works of all types. Great chefs bringing their samples of their goods! Always highly recommend this wonderful place!

I love the yearly trip to the State Fair of Texas, and its great to see so many restorative improvements being done to these historic facilities. I truly enjoy the arts and crafts exhibit in the creative arts building.

Great display of hand made talent at the Texas State Fair. The felt art was truly some of the best I have ever seen. The intricate work was so well done.

Great displays and craft. Photography was excellent. A very enjoyable and important part is a fair.

Great Building to visit during the State Fair of Texas. Daily cooking contest entries are brought in by the contestants and judged by local DFW Chefs and local personalities. Kitchen judging takes place everyday of the fair from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Contestants win Ribbons, points, money and other prizes. If interested in entering check out the State Fair web site.

I love going to the creative arts building and taking in all the sites every year at the state fair. Great place.

My Fathers Painting was stolen during the Fair. The staff knows who did it. We are still waiting for justice.

The best part fitting the State Fair of Texas is the chef demonstrations. Free, chef created foodIt sure beats $8 for a corn dog!!

The building has old out dated restrooms that are wow. Please update them. Unsanitary to flush by hand or foot.
