The Ferris Wheel is honestly one of the biggest reasons I keep coming back to the State Fair. There’s just something wonderful about the view plus the non terrifying speed that makes it a perfect memory maker and you can take some amazing pics! If you are scared of heights like myself I do recommend going at night. It’s way more enjoyable than during the day when you can see exactly how far up you are.

Best thing about the Texas state fair is not only the food but the views from the Ferris wheel! Don’t let the long line deter you it is well worth the wait in line!

The day we rode there was actually a wedding in progress atop the ferris wheel! We waited in line as the wheel rounded and out popped the bride and groom with preacher and witnesses! What a yell they received from the crowd!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! That was so cool! Bling Blinky of Texas Shout Out: Big wheel keep on turning!!!

AWESOME!!!!!! Traditional crowd expectancy of course but well worth the wait! Enjoyed everything, the food, the rides and of course the company of my hubby

Could not believe how short the ride was. Price was $10.00 a person. Even for a 3 and 5 year old. Went around once while they loaded people, and once without stopping. We paid $40.00 to make 2 trips around. Crazy. That was the last time well be riding it.

I visit it and fair park is so huge u better have tennis shoes

This is a classic fixture of the state fair experience. Be mindful that each ride costs 20 coupons ($10) and only goes around only twice.

Never knew is was so nice and beautiful on the inside. It was my first time this year and I got a great workout b/c the park is so big. I had fun, I will attend more even held here, I really liked it. Although, I believe they could improve on labeling and marking the exits to parking and such b/c we got lost a few times.

Like another reviewer said Its worth the wait. speaking of the line. But it does move relatively fast. I am ready for the fair to start again for many reasons, but this is one of the main ones. You can stop several times and soak in the view of Dallas. It is very smooth and you have to pay close attention to when it starts & stops. 3 thumbs up!

My son loves riding this Ferris wheel, the other Ferris wheel ran by Talley amusements does not accomodate for disabled riders so this is the only Ferris wheel we ride. Too bad its not open more often.

Cant miss out on the Texas Star when at the State Fair. The queue is worth it, as the wheel rotates slowly enough to where you can enjoy the ride and views.
