I love Rory Meyers Childrens Adventure Garden! Its so well done, so much to learn, the kids love it, lots of room & so much fun. I would recommend it to anyone with children of all ages. ️
My kids loved this area.Different things to do every turn that you take.Helps children learn about life, nature, season, wind and so forth.Misting areas all over the place to stay cool. Lots or seating area. Lots of shade along the way.Take the time to enjoy it. Take food to enjoy the stops and sit when you can.
Great place, especially since Im working on a leg injury. GOOD WALKING, NO PAIN NO GAIN
Educational and fun. Sometimes crowded
My 1 year old Gad a blast!! Food is pricey, so is pack a lunch next time, but we had a blas
This is a great outdoor learning playground with many different plants as well for kids to see. Multiple splash pads, so if the weather is warmer, consider swimsuits. Some things seem to be permanently broken though. Especially the solar reflection stations and some of the touch screens.
Its perfect for kids and I love it!! The Rory Meyers Childrens Adventure Park has so much to keep the little ones entertained. The splash feature right as you enter is awesome; the hard part is carrying to convince the kids that theres more to do and see in there, so I need to find another entrance so that my little one can check out the other amazing features in the park before seeing the splash zone. Im especially in love with the hydroelectric games, the gazebos with the heavenly mists (my face is the 1 right by the entrance of the orchard and vineyard), I love the cloud walking nets, the story time area, puppet show area and all the other cool things he can play with and learn from. Ill suggest subscribing for an annual family membership that includes access to the Adventure Garden ($184/year); itll prevent you from having to pay the separate fee each time to access this awesomely entertaining area for kids, plus membership comes with so many perks, like getting in before opening hours to do the fitness trail or just enjoy the garden without the crowds, and all the great events they put on there throughout the year. Either way, the Childrens Adventure Park is so so amazing for the little ones, and even as a grown up I enjoy learning and playing there as well.
Great time for adults and children
Great time! Fun for kids and adults. Lots of activities and tons to see
This place was wonderful. we were from Houston and didnt quite know what to expect but I would definitely go here again on my next trip to Dallas.
Great place for kids to explore and learn. Two splash pads, a water and weather activity center, and an edible garden full of different vegetables and grains. Really nice place. Best to visit early in the AM. It does get hot.
A peaceful and relaxing place that also has a childrens area including fountains to splash and play in during warm weather.
Very beautiful place but way overpriced. I got the groupon for the botanical gardens but they still charge an an extra $3 per person for the childrens area and parking is $15?? For two adults and one 3yr old ir came out to $51 and thats still with a discount. This is not worth visiting for this price. I do not recommend coming here.
Thank you so much for letting me and my child have the fun and the education he needed . Never give up on your business ! Keep it going and keep on moving forward .
Weve had memberships to several places in Dallas, and none more beloved than the Dallas Arboretum and Childrens Garden. My kids love all the interactive exhibits, projects and activities, and beautiful landscaping at the Childrens Garden. I love watching them learn about and enjoy the outdoors. The Arboretum is the only place in Dallas that feels like fall (the beautiful orange and crimson and gold kind of fall I desperately miss from back east) with their incredible pumpkin village. In spring, the blooms are divine. The underground parking in the garage near the Childrens Garden entrance keeps my car from getting too hot or cold and is easy and safe to access via an underground walkway. There are more easily accessible drinking fountains and restrooms in the Childrens Garden than the rest of the Arboretum. The Childrens Garden closes in January and February, which is a bummer, as we enjoy going all year round, but the rest of the Arboretum is open year round. Highly recommend getting a membership with childrens garden access if you have kiddos of any age.
This is a great place to visit in spring, fall and winter.Good place to spend quality time with family and guest who visit Dallas. They have also added a new addtion to the park this year that has interactive displays for kids n a small water feature for hot summer days.Easy access from I30 and good places to eat afterwards one mile north on Garland Rd.Plan your visit early as parking gets full.
There are some that may not be too happy about visiting this outdoor breeze of fresh air and beauty. I say this for those who are reading the reviews. Some were rating this place a 2 star which in my opinion a little underrated. 2 star ratings were more towards the cost and pricing of the visit rather than the actual event or entertainment offered. I give it a 5 star review because it was an all around excellent visit including price. If the cost of the visit is to high for your budget do what we did. Go when they have specials. When I went it was a party of 5 (2 children and 3 adults). $2 to get in and $5 to park . We had access to the Arboretum for $15. Whos complaining now. (an additional 2$ for the kids to enter Roy Meyers which is a separate adventure). Wow!
Really fun for kids about 4 to 12. This is a great place for photos. The price for parking is outrageous, $15! Thats more than the price of admission.
Lots of fun interactive things for kids
Very interactive, educational, and beautiful. I would recommend getting the season adventure pass, because it includes parking, arboretum admission, and 12 free passes to this garden.
Awesome breath of nature with beautiful blooms and greenery in the middle of a big city. Educational stations for children to see and learn. So much to do definitely requires more than just one day. Splash stations were conveniently placed about... a nice touch on a hot day.
An excellent place to take children. Great for all ages, different areas of the garden are designed to be accommodating to different ages of children up to adults. Take as much time as you possibly can, there is so much to explore -- THEN see the rest of the Arboretum. If possible take time to rest on the many shady benches or the beautiful grassy areas and drink in the wonders & beauty of nature. If too tired to walk, take a free ride on one of the many golf carts, driven thru the Arboretum by friendly, informative volunteers. A fantastic place to spend an hour or day. I return there as often as possible. It is different every time, no matter how often I go.
Fun and gorgeous spot to visit while in Dallas Texas
Wonderful place to bring kids. So much for them to do and see.
Multiple splash/interactive water areas for toddlers. The main splash pad features concrete and woods bleacher type seating with misters. Tree fort, kids learning activities about wind and water. Nice if going on a cool day. We went when it was 96 and it was a bit miserable.
Adults and kids have fun here. Be sure to get a map to find your way around
Fun, fun, and fun!It is a lovely place to spend a whole day JUST remember to pack the following:1- enough water and drinks2- lunch and snack3- good camera to take memorable photos4- If you have kids bring swim suits/towels so that they can play at the water fountains.5- a picnic mat so that you can relax and enjoy watching the view.It is good to bring a cooler with you if you have one or a wagon to put all of your stuff and drag it. If you dont have one you could rent it for 10$.Also you MUST wear comfortable shoes as you will walk for LONG. During this time of the year, dont forget to apply enough sunblock with water resistant before you go especially for the kids.
We are members because of this park! Love it! So much to do!
Beautiful place. My kids really liked the water area especially, but there are other fun activities for kids too. The August dollar days make it more affordable!
Beautiful gardens, places to explore and fun for the kids and adults.
Good place to take kids but parking is pricey plus admission
It is a wonderful place with a lot of nature and many educational spots for children.
They have an amazing display of flowers. We enjoy getting some exercise - while viewing the gardens. They improve the gardens more each year. Its also a great venue for a scenic wedding.
Every parent should bring their kids to this awesome experience
Great place for kids to learn, in a place that is dedicated to them!
Great park next to the lake. We went during the fall pumpkin festival. Beautiful. Go in the morning to avoid crowds
Beautiful scenery but the weather was hot! I dont recommend going during the summer!
Was great. Some of the handles werent working or pushing water. But a great experience for kids and parents
Was very educational, beautiful, and most of all for the children fun place to explore. Will be back.
A good place . kids are enjoying the greenery jumping dancing running and more. seeing the kids enjoying the atmosphere is a great enjoyment for us too
I love the place. So beautiful
Excellent beautiful hands on experience
Although it is not an amusement park with rides or slides, there are a lot of fun & entertaining things to do & see. Even an old lady like me enjoyed the gardens and learned some new things about plants & animals. (I never was too smart in biology.)
A wonderful park that entertains and educates thats staffed by friendly people.
Great place to take the kids for learning, entertainment, and fun in the sun.
Love this place. Great for families!
Great place to teach kids about science and nature.
Beautiful and well kept. So much fun for the kids.
Learning while playing
There are a lot of areas for children of all ages to play. They have special activities on weekends. The attached underground parking across the street is super convenient. We highly recommend it!
Great time on 1st grade field trip
This is an amazing place but I think the best value from it is as a member.
Educational. Beautiful.
Great for kids of all ages!
Amazing adventure for kids of all ages.
Excellent day! Weather was amazing
Learning through doing! It is very beautiful as well. Good for young and old.
Excellent place for kids
Large Adventure garden for children full of educational exhibits, a tree house, water zone, and fun activities. Highly recommended!
Have a good time with my granddaughter
After paying fee for botanical park and paying again for this section of the park is little more costly for what it offers. Hence less stars . It still a ok one time visitor but may be worth it for a yearly pass.
Excellent place to take your kids, simply amazing!
More than one of the regular exhibits seem to always be down or in repair, but worth a visit, especially for young children.
My kid likes the typhoon demonstration very much
Educational with good entertainment for the children.
Extremely creative, and just at kids levels. Been there twice. Once with a 4 year old grandson, and once with a friends 4 year old granddaughter. There is so much to do, and well worth the price. We adults wanted to keep going to see what else was there. In both times, the kids wanted to stay with the first thing they came to, hated to move on, but then wanted to stay at the next area. We had to drag the kids home. Its safe and well thought out. Bring you own snack food as the prices there are pretty steep, but thats the way it is most everywhere.Dont bring a wagon, as you would for the Dallas Arboretum, because they are not allowed. The walkways are not wide enough, but they are plenty wide for just walking. You can bring strollers, though. The activities are grouped by age, with the youngest kids first. Also bring a towel to clean and dry them off. Sunscreen is a good idea, too.Bring sun screen and water or juice to drink. Also a towel to wipe them down, as they get hot, wet and dirty (if they like to crawl on things and occasionally fall). At the entrance of the park is a water splash area that all the kids loved. They get VERY wet, but on a hot, sunny day, its perfect! If your child loves to run and be very active, you might bring a few Band Aids as well. My grandson got some minor scratches on his knees and forearms while running in the designated play area. He would cry for about 30 seconds, and then be off running again. He never stops running and climbing. But growing kids do skin their knees on occasion, and that is a good thing. This place excites the kids imagination and makes them want to enjoy themselves.I have a membership at the Arboretum, which also covers the Meyers Garden. So I can come frequently and only stay a short time. One mother I met there said she had a membership, and comes to the Garden on the average of 3 times a week! Also, I sat and talked with a lot of mothers and grandmothers who watched their kids. The conversation was fun.
Love nature, love this place.
Only Wonderful family spot in Dallas.
Beautiful evening for viewing sculptures
Good place for Kids and grownups
Fun, lots to discover. But a little kitschy in some places
