My kids love this beacha! There is plenty to do for everyone. From swimming, making sandcastles or playing at the playground. You can also bring your own grill for grilling or bring your own food and have a picnic or there is a concession if you want to buy. There is a place to rent equipment for water activities too. Well definitely be back!

I love coming here. Admission is a little high considering non residents cant enter until 2pm. But the boat rentals are reasonable and the water is pretty clear. Park and pavilion area is nice too. Definitely a nice get away . Will be checking out three oaks marina next

I gotta say I absolutely love this beach. Theres so much nostalgia for me there; the summer carnivals, battle of the bands, walking the nice Crystal lake streets with someone while eating that ice cream from The Freeze on Virginia St., then theres the paddle boats and all around beautiful and tranquil scenery. So Im a little biased here, but I think youll love this beach just as much as I do if you visit

They charge you to come in no matter if your swimming or not. I understand it, but with so many nice amenities blocked behind a fee its a bit disappointing. The booth to pay does seem to come and go, however, but is inconsistent and it lacks marking to distinguish when there is a fee and when there isnt.

Water isnt cold in Aug 1st week. Small beach but good one. $1 for crystal lake residents but $12 for others.No grills avbl. But people were bringing their own.

Not the cleanest lake but super cheap boat rentals. Young but helpful staff. Decent view.

Recent updates to the playground and boathouse are nice. The lifeguards are diligent and its a fun place to take my family for swimming and playing.

I attended a wedding reception here, and it was phenomenal! The venue was beautiful and the staff was extremely nice. The easy access to the lake in the back was a nice touch. Let alone, the lake and the beach were absolutely beautiful as the sun went down! The wedding was 10/10 and Id highly recommend this beach for anyone who is looking to swing by, hang out, or have a reception.

We love Main Beach. Only complaints, the bathrooms are awful

Great time on the lake paddle boating with the kids. Bathrooms did not smell good though, very bad actually. Other than that, we had a lovely time & everyone working was exceptionally pleasant!

No dogs so that is a bummer

Fun little beach with a park as well.

Great clean beach. Recently renovated the park. Its beautiful. We rented a paddle boat for only $10 an hour. Its a great beach and I will deff be coming back with my 8 year old son.

Its a really nice place for Crystal lake residents. Life guards on duty. Park is close. Beach is small but it works. Its really geared for residents the price to get in for them is a fraction of what it is for non-resident. I went as a guest and only had to pay 4 bucks which is the only way I would go. They do have day camps that go and flood the beach and shallow part of the water, so you have to get there early if you want a spot on the beach.

Good vibes my wife and I love going to the live concert every Tuesday night on the boat at main beach.good times.

Overall, an amazing beach! I especially love it around the forth of July with all the fireworks and such beautiful sunsets.

It has change my favorite spot has been overtaken by a kiddie park, but still a beautiful spot!!

$1 for locals, $11 for out of town. Awesome playground, swimming area, dock, water fountains, bathrooms, parking.

Great local beach. Clean. Nice staff. Boat rentals available and life guards are staffed well. Nice big park for young kids. Clean bathrooms as well. Wish they had grills for customers (people actually haul in grills unbelievably) and combed the beach more often.

Already cut the beach hours and kids arent even in school! Beach is packed rn on wed afternoon with hot, sandy, sweaty kids who just want to swim! BS! Yet another reason to move out of Crystal Lake BESIDES the SKY HIGH PROPERTY TAXES AND OVERALL PRICE HIKING JUST BECAUSE YOURE IN CRYSTAL LAKE.

Its the beach to THE lake of crystal lake. Every local goes here at some point. -1 star cause they got rid of the fun wood playground for a safer metal and plastic modern looking thing

VERY CLEAN. my kids LOVED the playground equipment. lots of tables and trash cans. I cant wait to come back when they are renting boats and canoes and kayaks!

Ive been going here since I was a child. Love this beach. Theyve recently remodeled the play ground!!

Nicely manicured grounds and plenty of picnic tables, along with fairly clean (for a public beach) restrooms. Parking is super convenient and abundant. $1/person for residents but $14/person for non-residents, so be aware of that. There are concessions on site.

Tuesday nights during the summer for live music is the best!

I love the beach and the food, but the new playground sucks. I dont need to be in it to know its bad. Didnt you see the old one? It was so big and full of memories. Yeah it was old, but seriously. But in the summer, band play there and theres a lot of fun stuff in summer to keep you away from being bored.This is great for people of all ages, from 3 to 60. Teens on a date can have a picnic by the waves. Kids could go on the inflatable slide. More people can have jobs for barely any money. Sounds great

Beautiful beach and park. HUGE playground for the littles.

Main Beach especially on Tuesday nights with the community and music is great. The boat ramp is good for smaller boats and the parking there is limited for launching a boat. The beach is nice and the food building is clean and basic. If you live in Crystal Lake, it is a great place to be.

Be careful water is filthy it never gets treated. All kind of germs are in this lake, make a wise choice such as a pool that get treated with cholrine.. Do not Enter......

Went on a Sunday. Thought swimming was until 830pm. They kicked the kids out of the water at 15 minutes to 7. I was confused. Nice park for the kids to play at. Nice open area with picnic tables and places to grill. Nice spot for a family or friend gathering. Bathrooms were not the cleanest.

First time coming out for a concert in the park. Fun place and a good time.

October Fest was another hit this year. Great bands and grub.

BYOB (booze),, BYOF (food), BYOG (grill). Water is warm. Awesome place to hang out.

Great beach, decent facilities-washroom, showers, and banquet accommodations.

It is a fun experience for those trying to avoid the drive to a much larger lake its safe they got 15 minutes brakes every hour and a bunch of staff lifeguarding theplace. The food court is a gamble though if u catch when its open fheve got hotdogs, pretzels and nachos

The new playground is the worst! They tore down beautiful mature trees to build this random park in the sun. No kids play on it during the day because the equipment is too hot. The old wood one cultivated such creative play. This one does not. Random spinning seat? One slide on one side, another slide on the other side? No fun

Love the view from the beach. Not very crowded and it was clean. Being such a big town I had thoughts it would be as crowded as three oaks but it was very peaceful.

They dont call it the Main Beach for no good reason...any other beach seems less main in comparison.

Went for the truck or treat and the kids had a blast! Crowded from having good weather but enjoyed ourselves too!

Very nice atmosphere good for swimming and outdoor cooking and plenty of space for people to enjoy the lake view and the outdoors. Definitely would visit again.

No matter what time of the year, its nice to sit on the swinging bench to watch the sunset and take pictures.

Everything was pretty good the swimming experience was great there wasnt to much people and the water was clean. Picnic table area was well kept and clean. Lifeguards were friendly and well trained.But the concessions I did not like the staff working there was all over the place forgetting orders and even giving extra food out that was not ordered my friend ordered a slice a pizza he gave her two she tried to give the extra one back thinking that it was probably someone elses that they ordered he responded in a rude manor and said no you ordered two and slammed the sliding door. My friend also received undercooked fries. Over all I liked it more then then I disliked it.

The events are great, but the beach itself is kind of dirty. Just a lot of fish and bird poop.
