Lots of cool trains, good if you like trains and history
We were visiting Cincinnati and decided to stop by and Ive never been happier we did so. Great place to visit, learn about the history of railroads, rail workers, and trains and safety. Dave was an amazing guide and answered every single question we had. We even got to throw a track. If youre interested in a great afternoon learning about history, please give this place a visit.
There is definitely some neat, old equipment, but unfortunately the museum is under funded and undermanned. At least a more directed tour (even if just a map with points of interest) would help visitors get a little more out of the museum. On the plus side there was a very knowledgeable staffer that had a lot of insight into the history of some of the old equipment. Also, there is a fairly active CSX line along the edge of the museum.
This place is 100% a hidden treasure in the area. It is all run by volunteers which is the reason for the limited hours but WHAT AN EXPERIENCE THIS WAS!!!! The volunteers were so knowledgeable about each car and railroad history. My son enjoyed it so much and I loved sitting in a little piece of history in the Pullman sleeper car! Great place
Definitely a unique experience. It is fun to see the old train cars up close. This place is full of history. The kids loved it. Wear closed toe shoes and I would not recommend bringing a stroller of any kind.
We spent a couple of pleasant hours talking with the enthusiastic guide about the history of trains, and looking at the historic train cars in the collection.
It is a yard of old trains in a quaint little neighborhood and they are only open 4 hrs on sat and there are very few trains u can see most from outside the fence.
Not a bad little museum. Mostly stairs to veiw the trains just as a heads up, the cost isnt that bad.
Because I wasnt there, I was at a friends house across the street.
Super neat place with a lot of history.
They had a ton of different trains and train cars!
Not open lots of cars doesnt seem to be organized
Awesome place, staff is super knowledgeable and will entertain even the most pedantic rail fan.
Rarely open, offered donation for a small group tour but they seemed uninterested. This place needs new blood.
Great location for family portraits.
What a fantastic find!! If youre a train buff (or not), its well worth the visit!
Excited to see rare pieces of history
Was there on a weekday, so unable to get in to see the huge collection of vintage passenger train rolling stock. I am very much looking forward to a return visit!
Hope to visit when its open
Really cool
