They need more seating for parents, but other than that its an amazing park for the littles.
This is a great place to take kids, because not only are there are two side-by-side playgrounds (one designed for ages 2-5 and one for ages 2-12), but there are BATHROOMS and drinking fountains. The bathrooms are nothing fancy, and the stalls dont have doors, but so few playgrounds provide anything that access to real toilets with real seats feels like luxury. Theres also a section with adult exercise equipment a hike/trike track thats about 1/4 mile long, and mature oak trees. And an awesome seasonal pool that offers things like lessons, water aerobics, and parties.
I had such a great experience this park is definitely toddler friendly the grass is fake grass and it bounces back so if kids fall they wont hurt themselves it also has a spacious eating are and tennis courts also good for older kids the are seemed kept up with.
Quiet and peaceful. Nice workout circuit area. Track goes around park for jogging or walking.
Very nice place to take the kiddos and let them run around.
Very safe, very clean park. Lots of gym equipment
They have a area where you can get a work out at. And plenty of shade trees and a over all nice environment for family and friends to gather.
Great place for those from the local area on walking and tennis
Good place to get your bounce on!
Lovely little park for the kids
It was great! My nephews had fun. Theres a covered area for events. Every saturday they hold a lunch there for the public. Feel free to come by n bring the kids. Also if you would like to help contribute it would be appreciated. You can bring whatever you would like to share like food drinks or deserts.
A nice little park in Flour Bluff. I would give it 5 stars BUT the City of Corpus Christi has let the tennis courts go until it is almost unplayable!!!!!! The park is named after a former tennis coach at the Flour Bluff ISD. It was meant to be a tribute to his dedication and service to his school and students but the way the courts look now it’s not much of an honor. Come on City of Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation Department, lets get these courts fixed up soon!!!
Great place for toddlers!
Hey I love this place because its kid friendly start a swimming pool nice little gazebo area you got some homeless people sleeping in the Park which is all right who am I to say you could see when and where its a public place they have public restrooms tennis court basketball court police station in the front and a track that goes around the park also they got a workout area for adults with a pull up bar dip bar two other things its freaking awesome
Love taking the kids here. They have three different areas. One for my oldest. She gets to use the work out area, a smaller play ground for my youngest, and a larger play ground for my middle and my youngest can play on too. Love going there after taking the kids swimming. They can play and dry off before getting in my car. Lol
Had a awesome time in the lord
The place is amazing, the two childrens playset are adorable, but there are too many homeless people staying in the park. I almost got bit by one of their dogs when I jogged there.
HEB is my favorite store I can find all my groceries and Bbq stuff is the Greatest. Meat department is the best. Along with the Seafood department.
The new playgrounds are great and I like that it is by the pool. However, there are a lot of homeless lingering there which makes me nervous to be there with my kids. There is a police station very close by but not sure that is enough to deter dangerous behavior.
We love that the park has been updated with water fountains and a second play area.
I have been swimming laps at the poolMore people should come out to swim...best exercise ever and you feel great afterwards.
Great place to hold events. Inside and out. With a pool.
What a beautiful place. So nice to have a place like that to workout at and visit.
Nice and clean. No homeless hanging around orcamping out
Its a nice little park. Wish they had a swing set. They have a BBQ area but it is welded shut. Wish people had a chance to actually use it.
Normally a fine for families to enjoy!
It was fun my kids luv the trail its an adventure for them....
I had fun running and when I was done there was a pool for me to cool off kn
The playground is nice. There is a lot of space and shady areas.
Lovely park for the kiddos except for the few homeless people that hang out there from time to time.
Kids love this place. Clean and people are friendly
Kids love it! But, too many homeless around. They are not a bother just doesnt feel comfortable
Super nice. City did a great job
It can get crowded, safe family fun.
Nice little Park if you want to take the family to play a little tennis
Its clean and safe
Nice park. Safe. Next police station.
Love native plantings and exercise equipment. Playground and pavilion are nice. Needs more reliable trash pickup in dumpster area, and former canopy area of pool should be trimmed regularly or planted with low growing (6-18) succulents, mulched with gravel, and sprayed with anti emergents.
Awesome pool . and has consesion stand
Homeless is a problem here but peak looks great
Love the new playground. Its fantastic. Police have started a community initiative to help the local homeless AND provide a safe play area for the kids. Best playground in the Bluff
Love the playgrounds and shade from trees. Ants can be annoying but thats a common Corpus issue.
Nice and new but a lot of homeless people stay there.
Awesome community Christmas
Since the park was updated, it is actually a very good Park. There are less homeless people there then what there was before, which is good. The new equipment is also really nice
Great place to wall
As far as parks go, it was great. Lots of equipment for the kids, and well kept. Only drawback was no maintained permanent bathrooms, although when they have events they do bring port a potties.
My family and I love it and what the have done to it. Tons to play with and do and even a trail to walk. Too bad many wanderers sit at the pavilion nearby and boulders along the path making parents uneasy.
Great place for the kids
Big n nice park for kids n adults too!
My grandbaby enjoyed himself
Great upgrade this past year. Homeless people have moved away. Very nice and safe.
Bggg get a good got
Yes this park is next door to law dogs but its also clean and piecefull
Decent park. I used to go there as a kid.
This is one of my favorite places to take my son uts small and therez two different parks that kids can play on very quiet and friendly theres the police station right next door a tennis court and even a section for the parenta to exercise
It is a camping site for homeless, bathrooms are almost always closed, only one picnic table, no swing, no merry go round, tennis courts are cracked and just poor maintenance all over.
I love how they updated the grass for the new playgrounds but I miss my childhood memories of the old park but they did a great job on it
Its great but theres a lot of ants
Came for Flour Fest. Park was clean. I love that there is a well padded play area
Lots of different activities. Just lost one star due to homeless hanging around.
Great place my children love it
Nice quite area, not crowded at all.
Had fun
Nice place for a family gathering.
Nice.
My kids love the new playground!!!! Just wish they would add swings :)
Park needs regular lawncare, and trash cleanup. I frequent this park (when the homeless arent too aggressive, or drunk/drugged/whatever and bothering my 3 and 4 yr olds) and typically spend the time my kids are playing cleaning up various pieces of clothes, food items, beer bottles, etc.To make matters even worse, the police substation next door, does absolutely *nothing* to keep its populace safe.Dont visit the park near dark either, let alone after sunset. The homeless are very confrontational about *their* places to sleep, and will outright accost you.Hopefully Parker Pool reopening will focus some much needed attention on the area, and get the area straightened out slightly.Edit to review after extensive closure/remodeling:This place has been updated heavily. All new playground equipment. Soft grounds for the kiddos who have gravity problems. A small workout/calisthenics/body weight strengthening type area. Running loop is still there. Landscaping is much improved as well. And working water fountains. Thank you city council. No update as to the homeless/lurker situation. I still avoid this park anywhere close to dusk due to previous encounters with the natives.
Kids loved it
Much to offer young and old
Clean wholesomeAtmosphere!
The city needs to address the bums that have made this park their home.
Great place to swim and take lessons.
Its a very nice place...
Fun
My dogs loved the place
Great for kids
Dont go there much, due to grew up with no children.
Only wish there were swings
Just stopped to make a call
Lots of homeless
Amazing
Fun for kids and adults!
Favorite place to walk
