Spent an absolutely wonderful and much needed day with Mother Nature!

Community fishing at its best. Social distanced but still outdoors doing something. Love it.

Great for kayaking and fishing. Smooth water. No public restroom.

Ok place to launch your kayaks smooth hard bottom also great for wade fishing only 3 stars because there are no facilities or place to picnic so dont know why its called a park. Pretty much just a road leading up to the water and a small parking lot for vehicles.

Great spot for birding! Park closes at dark and os great fishing as it runs right along packery channel. Safe spot for visiting families.

Great just as I remembered it. Lots of ruby throated hummingbirds. Worth the the stop even in the late migration

The fishing area is smaller than when we came years ago. The bird area is small also. Its cute and a great area to launch kayaks. Lots of boat go by but doable.

Always have a great time fishing here. Today the flounder were biting and I caught my first makerel. Speckled trout and lots of pin heads as well.

It was like going to the wild feeling. I enjoyed lots of artists depictions and photographs supposedly sitting in front of plants or birds shown on the boards.After each piece, I wondered how much creativity the artist/photographer showed to capture the image at that quality. Their names are below each image for copyright protection. Still, people fail to acknowledge or think in the direction of the Originator of these marvels, Jehovah.It is easily accessible. I parked free. There is a walk board with two parts showing different species.It is a place to visit, if you like nature and want to know some species native to Texas/America. Its maintenance seems on the decline.Visit while it last.

It is not as crowded as other fishing sites.

Lots of fun fishing

Very disappointed with packery I took my girls fishing there, been awhile since Ive been there. First we started pulling up other peoples tackle that was lost. Then we started getting hung up and losing our tackle. Never lost so much tackle anywhere like here. Tried up and down the channel.

Fishing was dead but still had a great time out here.

Great for what it is. Short walk with a few good places to stop and look at local plants and even some bird viewing spots.Very close to the channel where you can fish, watch others fish, or watch people dodge the boats as they come by and pay no mind to anyones’ lines.

Great place to fish caught 5 fish. You do not have to get in water if you dont want, you can fish from the banks. Either way nice place.

Very pretty little park with numerous wildflowers! Reason for less than Five stars was very few birds present.

Good place to go fishing. We took our kayaks there for the 1st time. Nice place to go kayaking and drop some lines out. You can also wade fish thru certain parts of the Packery. Definitely will come back.

This is the channel cut from Inter Costal from N. Padre to Gulf Mexico. OK FOR bank fishing in some areas. Some days to much boat teaffic

Great place to Launch a Kayak or do some wade fishing.

This is a great birding hot spot especially during migration. So many native plants and flowers especially in springtime. There are butterfly gardens and I have seen many butterflies. Has a restroom and is WC accessible! The back part of the park accesses packery Channel and I see fisherman there every time I go.

Really BEAUTIFUL place to go and visit!

Very nice setup for observing local birds and some small critters. The paths have various plants identified and the views are great. Easy access, free for all.

There is a newly built boardwalk over the grasslands area. They built bird stops for migrating birds. My 3 year old loves to run up and down the boardwalk. Great way to connect with the natural landscape at the Packery channel.

I like this park because it is in my neighborhood and I run and walk my dog around here all the time; as do my neighbors.You should be aware that I have seen a few drug deals taken place at this park and there is a homeless community about a 1/2 mile to the left somewhere behind the hospital.Although, one lady from park staff is not friendly at all. She yelled at me because my dog peed on the boardwalk. Um... Sorry!!!!You should visit this park to see RARE birds!!!
