This is a beautiful, peaceful park. Great for picnics, walking, kids playgrounds are nice. Its very clean. Great walking trails and a fun place for walking your dog. Beautiful lake views and a great place just to be outside enjoying nature. The lake is really beautiful!

Pretty nice place. I took my dog there for a walk recently. It was cold and drizzly.I saw two people swimming in the lake there. That scared me so I left. The bathrooms were clean at the park. Thats always a plus.

Beautiful lake with great walking trails. We took our 4yo on her bike and our 1yo in an umbrella stroller and had no trouble getting around the lake. Saw lots of wild life on the way.

Excellent park for walking, running, dog walking, and fishing and kayaking right in the middle of town fish a wide variety of fish species in the lake for fishing all year round!

We had a great time walking around this park. It could use a few more trails but the ones they currently have were great. The facilities were great, multiple play areas, and some fun challenges along the trail such as monkey bars.

A beautiful Park located on the outskirts of Cookeville. There is plenty to do for everyone there are several Trails - one of them circles the lake. There are plenty of benches and picnic tables for your use and a recreation area and playground for the kids. When we were there the concession stand and boat rental facility was shut down perhaps because of the covid-19 situation. The lake was recently stocked with trout.

Phenomenal park with an underrated disc golf course. One of the things I miss most from being at Tech.

Great place for an evening walk along the creek. You can fish here as well. There are two trails (red and blue) for walking or running. The red trail is 1.8 miles and the blue one is 1.6 miles. Blue is the easier one of the two. You can use the shelters and have bbq parties too.

Always love coming here with my family. My 12 and 2 year olds love the place too.

Stopped here to eat a picnic with my girlfriend and was surprised with the amount to do. There were many walking paths to choose, and most of them went by the beautiful waterfront. I was honestly amazed at the amount to do! Recommend for an hour or two stop.

I was unaware there were multiple playgrounds throughout the parking area. We only stopped for an hour but the kids enjoyed it. The playgrounds are pretty small and arent too elaborate like the newer ones many cities have, but its still nice to have something.

Lovely park with lots to do between volleyball, basketball, fishing, walking/biking/running trails, disc golf and more! Upkeep is not always the best but the park itself makes up for most of it.

Very well managed park. Walking/ bike trail around the entire lake. Picnic areas. Boat rentals with concession stand. Fishing. Frisbee golf course. Volleyball court and childrens playground. Dogs on leashes always welcome. Also has a duck feeding area for the kids.

One of the best parks in Cookeville, TN.I recommend parking at the Recreation Dept. / Gymnasium on Conservation Corps Rd.You can then cross the street and get on the approx. 2 miles paved walking path around the lake. The inner loop (stay near the water) is about 1.8 miles. The outer loop goes along the woods and briefly goes through it in a couple of places for a total of about 2.0 miles.Best part? Aside from crossing the street to start, you dont have to cross any other streets or worry about cars!There is a unisex restroom at the paddle boat dock and also there are restrooms at the gym when its open. Plenty of pathways to walk. Clean. Fishing is good. Trout, catfish, bass, brim. Friendly atmosphere. Ducks and geese to feed.

We love walking our dog around this park! It is very safe and clean. There are multiple trails depending on length and difficulty. We go fairly often because its a convinient distance from town. The trails are very open and public so even if youre by yourself you feel safe. The facilities are also kept clean so you feel comfortable inside or outside. Its a great place to spend time with friends, family, or animals. Our dog loves it!!!!

The disc golf course is fantastic. Boat rentals and a concession stand? How cool!I only got a short time to spend at the park tonight but Im heading back soon to give it the proper and thorough check out and play a full round of disc golf.

I dont think there is any fish in that lake

This is one of the most beautiful places Ive ever seen and its located in Cookeville Tennessee. The view is spectacular and the path around the pond is paved making the walk even more comfortable.

Nice park. Good for all outdoor activities. They have a disc golf course. Walking trails that are good for exercise or just nature walks. They also have a duck feeding area

Cane creek has nice wide paved walking trails that you can take a stroller on or ride bikes or walk or run on. There is fishing in the lake year round. There are three smaller play areas and one larger one spread around the park. Theres a large frisbee golf course. You can feed the ducks and geese, but you have to bring your own food to feed them with. You can take fishing boats on the lake or your own kayak. You can rent paddle boats, and Im not sure what else in the summer. Its a popular destination for locals on sunny days. There is no swimming allowed. There is now a dirt running trail thru the woods. There is a basketball and volleyball court. I believe you have to bring your own basketball or volleyball. There are outdoor places you can rent for birthday parties or events.

This disc golf course is my home course and I love it so much. Ive traveled around to some different courses and feel so lucky to have this one so close by. You have open field shots as well as wooded shots. A beautiful setting. Great for advanced or beginners. Just great.

It has a clean, nice, open, and safe jogging path around its pond. Great place for family and for your 4 legged friends too!

I love this park great place to come and play with kids or just go on a beautiful Scenic walk by yourself. They have lots of ducks to feed as well. Unfortunately some patrons dont pick up their trash. There are great picnic areas and areas to rent for parties. Multiple play areas for children spread out through the park. And a Frisbee Golf Course. You can also rent paddle boats when the concession stand is open.

A nice park, a good place to take a walk or ride a bike. The trails are paved, so walking is easy. I saw lots of birds and other wildlife. I would recommend this place.

One of the best municipal parks I have ever been to. Very well kept up. Sounds golf course is quite challenging, good balance between open and technical.

This park would make Leslie Knope proud! Very family friendly.Plenty of free parking in and around the park.Theres a nice paved path that goes around the lake thats great for walking or riding a bike. It splits in some places, so you can walk 1.8 miles (nice and flat) or 1.9 miles (more hilly). There are signs that indicate which path you are on. As you walk or ride, youll notice a few places where they are working on butterfly gardens.There are only a few places around the lake that are not accessible for fishing. In the winter they stock the lake with rainbow trout. You can put a kayak in anywhere with lake access or you can use the boat ramp to put in something bigger. You just cant use a motor (except for trolling motors). You can also rent out paddle boats. No swimming is allowed due to a dangerous lake bottom.There are several pavilions that can be rented out with playgrounds in close proximity. There is also an 18-hole disc golf course that plays in open field as well as wooded areas.

Nice place, nice scenery, good trails for walking. The boats are pretty old though. I was scared to get on.

My dear friend passed away and instead of having a funeral home visitation we celebrated his life at a shelter there. Was so much better than funeral home! Then at dark we caught 2 -6 lb catfish! Was a lovely evening I thoroughly enjoyed. Which is what my dear friend would have wished for anyway.

Love this place, and I love the disc golf course here! Its been a fairly regular thing, that when I get time to come home from being stationed wherever,e and my family go and play a couple of games of disc golf here! Its scenic, and very nice. Its also relatively quiet most of the time.

Great park for families. Theres a pond with canoe and kayak rentals, playground, frisbee golf, fishing, picnic areas and walking trails. Its well maintained.

Its a pleasant walk. Apparently you can fish and boating. The price canoe and kayaks are reasonable. They also have paddle boats and you can rent volley balls, basket balls, ect..
