Beautiful. Able to kayak to location and enjoy a peaceful visit. Park staff/ranger was walking around. Professional photos at several locations. Draw back were the several bags of pet poop owners left behind.
Easy walk meandering through the field, park rangers were polite and park is clean. It is quite the distance to the battle road so its best to drive over if visiting both.
I have been coming here for decades. I like pondering the history surrounding this place and Concord in general. I have come here by car, bike, and canoe. I even walked here once through the woods from Carlisle down Estabrook road. I think I am as attached to my history here as much as American history. It is a beautiful area especially in the fall.
An experience to stand on the grounds that are so historically significant.
Beautiful, historical park. Shot heard round the world
What a great place. U e born coming here since I was a child and I go at least once a year.
North Bridge is one of my favorite places to go walking, especially with the dogs. Heads up, you do have to take your waste with you as they dont have trash cans out. However, they do have public restrooms. North Bridge is full of history, nature, and sometimes lots of tourists. Regardless of the crowds, I still enjoy going for walks, especially during the summer and fall months. Its also very close to Concord center, in case you want to visit the shops and restaurants afterwards.
“Well I’ll be darned, it’s the monument to the original minutemen! I knew that was somewhere around Concord. This means, that right here must be the Old North Bridge! Where the first shots of the American Revolution were fired! I’d call that the best omen we’ve seen since we left Quincy.”
This was a neat and historical site to visit. The area was just beautiful!
Glad to see they finally fixed the massive hole in the side of the bridge... Folks kept falling and settlers couldnt get to Sanctuary Hills proper.
Went ghost hunting and caught ghost!!! Great place!!
Great history, nicely presented.
A nice detour on a trip up new England. It is pretty cool to get to stop and see such a historical site. If you decide not to brave the crowds at Walden pond, definitely stop and take a little walk here. Start at the visitors center or the house and wander a bit. Or walk the entire area.
Amazing. Just amazing.
Wonderful monument to the birthplace of the American revolutionary war.
The infamous Battle of Lexington and Concord occurred at this location. It is steeped in history and I must see. The grounds are nicely kept and beautiful to visit on a fall day
Magical historical place. Concord River whispers old stories as it flows
Standing on history! Beautiful
Very pleasant place to visit, but stay away from the Minutemen on the other side of the river, in Sanctuary. Theres one in particular who kept trying to send me away to help settlements all over The Commonwealth!
The location of the shot heard round the world. Any and all Americans should visit at some point during their lives and pay respects to our forefathers who put their lives on the line to obtain our freedom.
I always learn something historic when I come here. On Saturday of Memorial Day weekend there was a re-enactor in redcoat officers dress. He was able to tell us interesting things about his uniform and weapons, about the colonial government, and even how the New England town meeting system evolved up to today. A ranger who was a former college history professor gave an interesting explanation of the Battle of Concord. We came by kayak and had no problem beaching it next to the bridge. Just part of a fun afternoon on the river.
It is pretty cool to get to stop and see such a historical site.
Such a great place full of history and nature. We loved our visit here and look forward to going again sometime.
A must-see location of an historically important battle in Concord between the Minutemen and the British infantry that matks the first day of fighting in the American War of Independence
A historical walk. Youre never to old to learn something new.
Nice spot
I love this spot in Concord MA. Historic site. Where the Revolutionary war began. An amazing place to visit.
Great place to have the children run and take in search history.
Beautiful area
So gorgeous and the park ranger told its history with great passion and honesty.
Wow! The history is terrific! The ranger tells the story very well with lots of details!
Beautiful, historic spot. It was inspiring to see the Minuteman statue and to learn of the events that took place there in 1775.
Solemn, simple spot. Worth the time to get to it and walk around. Read the plaques!
I visit Concord two times, in summer and in winter, with hot and with snow...same location, different feelings...the historical place where United States begins its Independence by United Kingdom. Not particularly exciting...but you feel guns fires...soldiers scream...enjoy!!!
History comes to life
Great old historical landmark. The park ranger was very knowledgeable about the place.
One of my favorite places. Such a beautiful peaceful place.
Another settlement needs our help! This is where Sanctuary is located in Fallout 4. In significantly better condition in real life. Close enough to the road for cosplayers to walk in and take some photos. The minutemen are on a roll.
History..short walks ... info of the battle and parking is easy
A great place to enjoy nature and learn about the Revolutionary War. The place where The Shot Heard Around the World happened.
A little piece of where our Nation began. This is a beautiful area.
Well...This is THE spot where Americans first shot was fired against the British Army...The onset of the Revolutionary War ! Hallowed Grounds !
Great history about our patriots.

A beautiful historic place to walk around and just enjoy the scenery, definitely should add this to your Backet List.
All started here. You r welcome.
Love this place! Relaxing walk to clear your mind.
Well preserved. Still under repair. Still go.
Historical landmark when visiting the Boston area. From Wikepedia this is the history. In 1775, five companies of Minutemen and five of non-Minuteman militia occupied a hill near the bridge with groups of other men streaming in, totaling about 400 against the British light infantry companies from the 4th, 10th, and 43rd Regiments of Foot under Captain Walter Laurie, a force totaling about 90-95 men. The British retreated across the river and the two sides faced each other across the North Bridge.A brief exchange of fire ensued which saw the first instance of Americans firing to deadly effect on British regulars, after which the British retreated. Ralph Waldo Emerson, positing that world history pivoted at that moment (an assertion that is disputed, as earlier events at Lexington Battle Green could be termed the true opening of the battle), called the first shot of this skirmish the shot heard round the world in his 1837 poem Concord Hymn. There was ample parking and facilities. There is handcap parking but the walk to the bridge would be difficult in a wheel chair.
Was a great place to visit and reminisce about history.
