Just awesome place to walk, run or just take in the very best that New england has to offer.
A favorite spot to walk or run for all seasons
Along the Minutemen park trail near Marias Corner
This is a wide and well maintained walking and biking trail. If you bring young kids, keep them close, some bikes ride too fast and almost nobody walks their bikes on the narrow bridges despite all the signs saying to do so.
Very historic trail.
Pileated woodpeckers, old cedar trees, historical stories.
My 7th Great-Grandparents Joseph Meriam and Dorothy Brooks used to live in that house, and then passed it down to their Son Nathan, my 7th Great-Uncle. Dorothy Brooks married twice, 1st to my 7th Great-Grandfather who I just mentioned above. Their Daughter Mary Merriam, my 6th Great-Grandmother married my 6th Great Grandfather Deacon Simon Hunt. After Joseph Meriam passed away, Dorothy married my 7th Great-Grandfather John Hunt. Johns 1st wife was Mary Brown, my 7th Great-Grandmother. The last Hunt Im descended from was Esther Viola Hunt from Nebraska, my Great-Grandmother, Daughter of Omenzo Granville Hunt and Amanda Belle Yarrington, my 2nd Great-Grandparents. Esther married my Great-Grandfather Jacob Clifford Bone, Son of James Henry Bone and Alice Lufemia Zimmerman.
Scenic. Nice place to walk or run.
Beautiful.
Good starting point to ride or walk the MMNHP Battle Road Trail.
Fearful! Miss it
While this is 5 in my book, walking 1/2 mile to see a former house site and a pile of rocks may disappoint someone who doesnt know the history.
Beautiful
Great
