Overall a decent golf course. Nice layout. They have some tricking holes. Greens are good n fast. Their downfall is the cart paths they are Terrible. Carts are nice. Adquate club house.

Just played there for the first time today. Overall, a very nice and fun course to play. I will definitely go back. The layout is fun and challenging. The greens were in pretty good shape. There are a few rough edges (e.g. some cart paths need attention), but no deal breakers. Paid $25 for 18 holes on a weekday - worth every penny.Also, some have noted negative experiences with the staff. We didnt have any issues at all. The guy at the desk was pleasant enough. The started seemed very pleasant and even joked with us.

This is a nothing too special course, but it is a great value for the money. I swung by for a quick round and it was exactly what I was looking for. Incredibly cheap and a nice easy walk, if I lived in the area, I would definitely go back out there again.

One of the best golf experiences I’ve had in Columbia. Course was beautiful and well maintained. Also presents a good challenge to any skill level. Staff is great!

A fantabulous experience. I mever knew I live so close to a beautiful scenery. An escape from the bustling city life of work, family and annoying phone calls. Beauty at its best is my description of this wonderful golf course and walking trail.

The staff is very nice the course is challenging and clean cut try it.

Absolute nightmare of staff, they constantly rush you. We had a ranger tell us to hurry up for being 5 minutes over the expected play time and then follow us around. On a par 3 he jumped in our cart (during Covid) and whipped it back on the cart path. He then yelled across the fairway “follow rules or find another place to play”. We will not return, not worth the money or harassment.

What a fun Gem of a course. I wasnt expecting much since the price was low. Showed up as a walking walk on. Lots of ball marks on the front greens. Other than that i was NOT disappointed. Tee boxes werent perfect with some unnven spots, fairways were in great shape. 70% of the greens were great. Not too difficult, but a fun course ro play.

I played this course with my son and son in law and have not played golf in a year due to arm surgery. The course ranger told us to pick up the pace, due to complaints, at the end of ninth hole when we were very close to their pace estimates. We spoke to the foursome that was behind us in the parking later and said the same thing and said they never made any complaints. On the sixteenth hole (par 3) I parked the cart about 3 feet off the cart path (in the dirt-no grass) to allow the other cart to pass The course ranger ran up and got in our cart and moved it on to the path while screaming “ comply by the rules and leave the course” with no warning. He then “stalked us” the last two holes. I complained to management and they said there was multiple complaints on this course ranger. WILL NO RETURN to this course.

Solid local course that usually has deals through Golf Now. Even at full price, the course is worth the money. The condition continues to improve and the layout is fun. The pro shop and grill do a good job. My only complaint is the are still a few areas on the course that need improvement, but theyre working on them.

The course is a great layout, fun to play. The bunkers are in need of repair...some were muddy. Unfortunately there isn’t much control over the course. We went on a very busy day but golfers were skipping around the course, there were backups 3 groups deep, and groups of 5 and 6 were allowed to go out. I wish I could say this was the first time we have seen this but it’s happened every time we’ve gone. This will probably be our last time playing the course because of it.

Showed up at 7:10 for a teetime at 8:12, then I waited 20 minutes and no one showed. Called later to be reimbursed and Greg didn’t even offer. Very poor customer service. Unacceptable when you’re paying for a service you should be there to provide it and if you can’t or are late getting to work for whatever the reason, then you should fix it. That’s the right thing to do.

Played Northwoods (Spur) today for the fist time in over 3 years. We play a lot of golf in the midlands and had given up on the course quite some time ago. Decided to give it another go today. Very impressed with the obvious improvements the staff has made. Glad to have one of the more interesting layouts in the area back on my rotation!

Decent tract. Hard to play for the first time, lots of blind shots. Greens are good, high 5 for the greens keeper. Forget playing out of the bunkers. Just agree with your playing partners, that a ball in the bunker is GUR. No sense beating yourself in a bunker thats mud and packed sand.

Great course for the price. The Manager and employees are always friendly. Played this course at least 20 times over the years. Never disappointed. Keep up the good work Spur at Northwoods.

McBride honored a Golf Now reservation that was made in error. The Spur doesnt get $ for a Golf Now reservation, so the course honoring a mistake made by a patron was a great gesture and a stand-up move. We had a great time. Many thanks!

Greens and tee boxes r good. Fairways are soaked. No water in the coolers on the coarse. Worth the fee during the week. Absurd on the weekends.

It is too early for much of a review on this course. Nothing is growing yet and recent rains have made much of it a muddy mess. Good layout that deserves some sunshine.I dont dispute the owners comments and Id like to play it again sometime.

The Greens are emaculate! The pathways and the fairways still need a lot of work though. We played there on a Sunday afternoon and we had issues with waiting for long periods of time for the players in front of us to finish up. I didn’t like how they allow groups of 5 & 6 people (including kids) to play at one time. It took us 2 hours and 50 minutes to play 16 holes (we skipped 2 holes because of the long wait time). The staff was very nice and knowledgeable and the club house was very nice. Not sure if I’ll be back just based off the waiting time we experienced.

Good course. The majority of the greens were in great condition and the spots that were bad werent in the line of play. The fairways and rough looked really good. Decent elevation changes throughout. Really pays to be in the fairway. One of the best values Ive come across..wouldve paid 40 and been happy but got a golf now deal for 22

I have played this golf club for probably two decades now and the reason I keep coming back is because my experience has been generally positive. Ive seen the course go through some changes (storm damage,dry/wet seasons, new ownership, etc) but always come back to give us average golfers what we look for most: a golf course that is in good condition, fun to play and moderately priced. And in addition, the personal and management have always been outstanding, great people to know and they make visiting the course a pleasant part of your experience.

Played this morning. Has a nice driving range. Staff was all friendly and helpful. Just played the back nine the holes were all challenging, the scenery beautiful. The greens were in great shape for this time of year. Had a wonderful morning on playing here

Quiet and serene environment. The layout of the course is quite unique. I’m not a huge fan of golfing but I really do think that these guys offer a really top notch facilities. The other amenities in the club are also really good.

The course has made some major upgrades since the last time I played there. (4 years ago). Greens were fast and bunkers were deep and full of sand! I love play in number 14 because of the scenery and the risk reward of a driveable par 4! The staff is friendly and Greg McBride has one of the best golf minds out there. Great experience!

Great layout. Ive been playing this course for about 5 years. The layout is good so we excused the underperforming fairways. It has since been bought out and refurbished in 2018. It isnt immaculate and sometimes #3 fairway is underwater, but its a steal for the money.

Great open driving range with courteous staff. Be warned that your day out, may be cut short by an inconsiderate smoker that chooses to stand down wind next to you on the range. When I politely asked the gentleman not too smoke next to me. He responded that, its a free country. And continued. I inquired at the club house, in reference to the smoking proximity. And was informed that there was nothing they could do. While refunding my money. After having hit 10 of my 90 balls, Im left asking, is it a free country? Or do we cater too the thoughtless members of society? I hope that the community will take back their freedoms.

Nice course however it always seems to be wet. Staff seems to not like GolfNow bookings, which is kind of aggravating to its customer.

Good course! The front nine has a lot better pace than the back nine. Currently being redone so the greens r in OK condition but once finished itll be a great course very fun for all ages.

I like Northwoods. They have come a long ways. The greens just got punched and the fairway is needs improvement. The range is good not great. The practice green is in bad shape. The price is good for the current conditions.

As a truck driver I was delivering precast concrete sections of wall to a neighbor of the golf course, a new site under construction. I have no information on the club.

Course has gotten better over the few years however, I dont think it has reach the price point currently portrayed.

Second rate course - if you want to a play a VERY basic golf course / poorly maintained, OK, have fun, but much better courses are close by..... Bottom line 2nd rate course.

The greens were just redone and the course has benefited from no play for a couple of months. Greens were rolling true. Course has always been a fair but challenging set up and that remains true.

Booked through GolfNow app. Was paired with another solo player. Very challenging course. Extremely fun to play!!!!

The course has a great lay out with some challenging wholes. Greg and Bill are nice to deal with in the clubhouse. Im a midrange golfer and enjoy playing here.

Its a fun course great for beginners and more adept players. Greens are good, fairways are good, nice staff and really good rates.

For the price you pay it’s not worth it. The greens and in horrible shape and the fairways are almost non existant. Usually in good shape but won’t be back for a while.

Excellent course. Great day for golf

This course cost me a tournament. They just renovated the course and put a lot of money into it, plus they have a new owner. But the course looks worse than it did before. The only good thing about the course is are the fairways, and thats not saying much. All of the greens are bumpy and have some black mold growing on it, and the bunkers have a lot of weeds growing in them, forcing them to become ground under repair. I finished 1 shot behind in a tournament here, and those greens are why I lost the tournament. Dont waste your money here.

Have been here several times. But bad for the price at all. Staff could be a bit friendlier. If youre not aMember, they dont make an effort for much. But like I said, it not bad for the price.

I think whoever is complaining about the quality or condition of this course after paying $29 including cart for 18 needs to wake up and realize that they are not a Tour member competing for the Open at Chambers Bay.The course is great. The lounge is clean and the people are super friendly. Now the bad part- please get a ranger or someone out there to keep an eye on the Sunday afternoon groups of 6 and the foursomes of drunk Gen Yers intent on a 7 hour round while shooting 143 from the blue tees.Ill be back next time and I wish them best of luck bringing this place back to life!

The green improved alot! It is now in a better condition than it was a year ago. The price is reasonable.

I just moved from new York last sunday. Played today. Still wet from the rain. But layout was excellent. If this course were in New York, green fee would have been $50-60$.... For the green fee paid, I give 6 stars.

This place is a joke. I have played here a few times over the past 3 years and it has consistently gone down hill. This last outing convinced me to never play here again. I dont know how they can feel good about charging people any money to play this course. Good thing I was playing in a tournament for charity, otherwise I would have stopped mid round and asked for my money back. The greens were totally gone. Where the greens werent scabby, they were covered in a black looking mold or sand.

They have improved the course a ton since I went a couple of years ago!

Well! for the money is a good golf course with a challenging handicap level so! About the customers a lot of them dont belong to a golf course example: they dont repair the mark ball on the green so! you can imagine when is ur turn! Dont waste your money. The course is in ok condition from tee to green but the once you get to the green it is like a nightmare. Some if the worst ones Ive seen in the midlands.

Over the past several years, the course has consistently been in poor shape. This, however, is not the reason I will not go back. The customer service is terrible. I wouldnt play here if it was free.

Played here a few years ago and it was in Bad shape. Played here today and it was like a new course. What a difference. If they keep in this condition by summer you wont be able to get a tee time.
