This is a cool little venue. The atmosphere is awesome. The staff are very friendly and inviting. The shows hat we have attended here have been very entertaining. Love going to the Music Farm in Columbia!

Just recently started going to shows here and Ive got to say, it is impressive that a venue this size can deliver such a professional and impressive atmosphere.Went to my first show there recently to see Hawthorne Heights and Emory and it was definitely an experience.Will be coming back for years to come I hope! Definitely recommend this if youre looking for a fun night of music.

It is an intimate venue. This venue has about three hard person. There were very few seats on the night we were at the Senate. the only seats available with a handful of reserved tables. Everyone else had to stand on a concrete floor for the duration of the event. Also the Senate has a clear bag policy.

The Senate was right across the street from our Hilton hotel we were staying at. They had the Whos Bad Michael Jackson tribute band and it was amazing. The General Manager Chris was awesome too! He came out to personally meet us, shake our hand, made sure the table we had was good, offered my wife the Bday girl a free drink and kept checking up on us. To be honest we felt like royalty their! Thanks Chris for such an awesome experience.

Love that The Senate hosts Freeway Musics showcases. Its a great opportunity for these kids to perform on stage.

They will throw you out of a venue when they are using your 6k DJ equipment and then tow your car. Absolutely the worst and most unprofessional staff I have ever witnessed. Don’t give them your business please. Zero respect for artists or their personal property here. Also their drinks taste like garbage they water down their top shelf liquor because they’re cheapskates.

Took my 13 year old to his first show at a bar ever last night. Ive been there a few times, but I was amazed at how welcoming the entire staff was. If I had caught peoples names, Id call them out publically for their perfect service. From the woman at the box office that discussed his school with him, to the bartenders who made a special effort to make him not feel nervous about walking up to a bar to order sprite, and the staff member that told me to grab a poster off of the wall for the show we went to for him. I dont think I can say enough nice things about this place.Food is great, drinks are good price, staff is amazing.

Cool local venue that is ruined by certain staff and their policies. Patronized a recent show. Show was not over 5 minutes I was approached and told “we’re kicking out. Leave.” Should allow attendees 20-30 min after show before that level of aggression. I happened to be waiting on the conglomeration of bodies blocking the exit but maybe I was going to the merch booth to spend my money. Patronize this venue, support local music, spend your money so people have jobs, only to be treated with disrespect.

I went for a concert and had a great time. The staff was friendly and it was an open floor. Wish Indidnt have to park in the garage but for the most part it was good. With the tin roof next door you and eat and get more drinks.

Amazing place to see a concert. I just saw Buckcherry there last Tuesday and the sound was awesome and the venue was perfect.

The venue is cool for concerts. However, there is a lack of parking and they overcharge for what little parking there is. Strangely, entrance was split up into three separate areas - metal detector, tickets, wrist bands - forcing everyone to wait in the rain the separate times rather than consolidate the areas under cover. Though not well advertised, they have good drinks for a reasonable price.

Saw the Indigo Girls at the Senate. Place was packed and we had a great time. Bartenders busted their behind to keep up.

Very spacious venue and great sound quality. Only issue was there was no air circulation in front of the stage so it was unbelievably hot and I almost passed out.

Had a great time at the Leela James concert, she put on a great show. I didnt get the young ladies name that was part of the opening but she was AWESOME. My husband and I would love to hear her perform again.

One of the Best music venues in Columbia. Wish the stage was a little larger for the artists but appreciate that this place is bringing big names to soda city.

Could have been a place that contributed to the music and art culture of Columbia...... Had high hopes.... But no luck, we get all the lame tribute shows. Guess you gotta pay the bills.

Concert was amazing. Love everything about the venue but you have a bartender that is overboard when it comes to dealing with patrions. Very abrupt and aggressive toward everyone. Not just the drinkers but sober folks. Bit of a control freak and hope not a liability. All the other staff was really cool, kinda helpful.

The box office, security, and staff really need to communicate with each other. I was given literally 3 different answers on door open times, upgrade eligibility, and bag policies.

Completely terrible staff management. Treating grown adults like children. Wont be back

My favorite place to see bands in Columbia. The place is spacious, and the room sounds great. In my opinion its better than the Charleston Music Farm.

Great venue, friendly staff. It was the perfect size for the bands we saw. Not too big and it also didnt feel cramped. All in all a great experience and I would definitely come back.

Even though there are several large fans, it was still quite hot inside the building. I noticed a staff member clocking the AC, it was set at 72 but the temperature inside was 78. The venue is fairly large, and they have a nice patio area (mostly was used for smokers during my visit). Plenty stalls in the bathrooms. The bands were fantastic. Had a great time overall.

The senate was a great concert spot. It felt personal, but still had enough room. The staff was all friendly and helpful. The drinks were perfect and I enjoyed that they had a smoking section. I will definitely be back many times! Thank you for a great night!!

Here for the Ella Mai concert and the experience so for is TERRIBLE!! Meet and Greet was supposed to start at 5....NOT were still in line waiting they had to bring us inside because we were outside in the beaming heat and a lady fainted!! I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS PLACE

Great place for a small venue show. We always have a good time here. Sebastian Bach put on a great show. It was good to hear the two openers (One Bad Son and Monte Pittman) as well. They both made me a fan instantly.

This place has a nice layout. Friendly staff and good bar stock. I did not try the food, but will next time I go back; it looked delicious. Music was a little heard to hear clearly inside, but I am getting older so loud music can blend together for me.

The bar staff was insanely busy and definitely over served. The crowd was rowdy and extremely drunk. Absolutely ruined the Tyler Childers concert. He couldn’t even tell the stories about his songs because the crowd was so disrespectful and talking over him. I Would never come back to this venue. I was looking forward to seeing him and was very disappointed.

Wonderful atmosphere. Not overcrowded even in a sold out show. Cant wait to go back.

Easy to find and very spacious. they had a lot of tables and chairs for people to sit down at if they didnt want to stand up for the whole show, and had a separate room for the bar. the bathroom was good and had a lot of stalls, and the stage was quite good for the size of the venue.

Love this venue. Aint nothing special to it. Its got great space inside for shows. Everybody stands as they should be. Two bars, one inside the other out. Smoking outside. A TERRIBLE parking lot, just like every venue should have lol. Bartenders are pleasant and so is the reat of the staff.

Very unprofessional staff and absolutely unacceptable behavior by security. They ruined the night for me and my husband. Will not be coming back with my group of 20 LGBTQ ravers who generally spend around 1500 at the bar.

Very nice concert venue, good selection of drinks. Ordered food from the bar, and it was surprisingly good. Saw a great band with some old friends, and the sound was spot on.

We saw shovels and rope there. Place was full of energy. Music was great, good sound and lights. We could have used a few more seats, not all of us cared to stand all evening.

We love the Senate. Have been many times and the employees are always so nice!!!!!

Great music venue

Open floor plan and lots of room. Open and outdoor bar. Lots of drink options. We went March 3rd, saw Flogging Molly. It was awesome. Light show and fog machine going. They have several huge ceiling fans that kept everyone cool while dancing away. Great experience! The place is nestled in next to the Tin Roof. Relatively easy to find on foot. They have a small parking lot, better if you park somewhere else and walk to the building.

Went here to watch my son perform with a music group in the Freeway Music Program. It’s bring your own chair for the most part, but the setting is excellent for a music venue with lights and speakers.

We Always have A-blast at the concerts there. Night we had the best time wheres Chris Lane, Gabby Barrette, and Mason Ramsey

Nice concert venue, very happy this opened up in Columbia. I have been to the music farm in Charleston multiple times, so its nice to see something in Columbia as well. There is limited parking in the lot, but the meters around the music farm turn off at night, so parking for most concerts is free. The patio seating is a nice touch, and inside its pretty open and airy so it doesnt get too hot.

A good, basic venue.

Good size, atmosphere, drinks were avg (didnt feel too expensive), acoustics are fantastic. Some places have terrible echo but it sounded fantastic inside.

Good space, great acoustic, no crowd surfing (bummer) and they helped me close a tab I accidentally left open.

This place brings great music. And it sounds great too!
