Fun place! I’m not sure how they get away with charging money since there free swimming literally right next to it. But if you want showers and a lifeguard, then this is the place for you! Plus prospect lake is a really great place to go swimming in the summer.

Good bike ride

YMCA runs all the public pools in Colorado Springs. Admission prices are then too costly for lower income families. Public pools should be cheap enough to get the kids off the streets and help struggling parents. The high prices prevent the children that live in this surrounding neighborhood from admission. Admission needs to be half the cost to support the very neighborhood that surrounds it. They should all be shut down, since the kids that it should support, cant even use it. Sure YMCA does partial scholarships, but they require you to automatically debit the reduced membership fee ($30-50+ monthly) and struggling families cant do that! Gentrification . These kids arent going to leave the area, they are going to create a crime problem around the area.
