Some pretty incredible pieces of music (and pop culture) memorabilia are on display here. It is quite expensive to get in, but I doubt youll regret it, if you appreciate music. The design of the building is quite intriguing and a marvel, in its own right. Multiple stories, but there are elevators available. Staff is pretty well out of sight, but friendly enough when theyre visible.

We had a great time visiting and enjoyed looking at all the very cool exhibits. hopefully well be able to make it back soon once all the interactive exhibits have been reopened and things are safe again. I highly recommend if you have the time to visit and even making this a destination stop.

The Rock and roll hall of fame has a lot of really cool memorabilia. There are lots of amazing guitars and other instruments. A custom motorcycle owned by Elvis Presley. A Nova owned by Bruce Springsteen, pianos owned by Greg Allman, one by Jerry Lee Lewis. Handwritten lyrics by so many famous stars. Covid has closed some displays and other precautions have been implemented for safety. There is food (snacks mostly) and beverages which includes a small selection of beers. The events listed are mostly local acts. Pricing for an adult was $28 each. Parking is about $14-17 for the day. It was interesting put did not really reflect the value.

Its not ideal now during . . . whatever this is. Interactive things are closed off. A couple areas are being redone. Just fyi. STILL . . . highly recommend, because the spirit and roots are very much live and on display. Upside - ticket sales are staggered hours to diminish crowds. So plenty of space to view and read.Honestly I could easily spend the entire day. The journey starts at the very beginning with Mississippi delta blues and gospel roots. Very cool to hear via video some of the early African-American singers/musicians. The beat is still the same!The memorabilia is amazing. Everything from stage outfits to instruments to songs written on motel notepads . . . its all here. And beautifully displayed. The building itself is very cool - big, open, and bright. I dont feel they favored anyone in particular. The Beatles had a wall. The Stones have about the same space. But that seems right, doesnt it? Did to me.Staff is first-rate. Very friendly and helpful. The museum is efficient, clean. . . really a nice job all the way around

This place literally rocked! On a road trip and coming from wayyyyy out of town with my girlfriend...glad we were able to stop by and experience the musical history behind some of the best. The garb, the music, the instruments - just phenomenal. And the gift shop is totally worth the peruse.

Covid - They took our temp when we came in and we saw several employees cleaning handrails and door knobs. Felt very comfortable and had a great time!

It was really cool, took so many photos, the gift shop was super pricey though unfortunately or I would have went nuts in there shopping, and I was a bit disappointed about their not being more Nirvana or Kurt Cobain memorilabila in there, as there was for all the other famous young stars that died. I was so excited for just his stuff and not much at all. Thats why I give it a 4 star. Oh and if your a smoker you have to go all the way outside the gate entrance and come back in. Pretty far.

I loved this place! i went here a few months ago for my cousin’s 17 birthday. he was really into rock and roll as well as different music bands. i wasnt into this stuff myself but i found it very interesting to learn about. i dont know if its the same with corona but i hope it is. so many cool instruments, history, decorations. I would definitely recommend to rock and roll fans. more interesting than your average band class.

This is my 2nd time here at the Hall of Fame... But its really like my first time since I had to rush the last time I was here. So...If youre a fan of music, and especially music history, you MUST come here! Not only do you get to see/hear some REALLY great music, but you get to see who influenced whom... And you get to see the great instruments--especially the guitars!!For me, its like going through a lot of my history, played out by my favorite bands and musicians, and even some that werent my first choice of music.The only thing that brought on lots of sadness was seeing all the folks Ive listened to over the years who have since passed away. It was still worth the pain...The Hall of Fame is a non-profit organization and as such, needs as much support as it can get.Music has saved my life over and over again...I have no issue giving to this great place. Make the trip... Its so worth it.

Overall very good. Some Covid limitations, but still plenty on display. Wouldve been nice to have a little more on the newer inductees.

For a rock and roll lover (and mini historian like me) this place was incredible. I went many years ago during a long term Bruce Springsteen exhibit. And although Im not the boss biggest fan, it was cool. There was a big pink floyd The Wall exhibit which I truly loved.So glad this place exists.

So much more than you would expect. I learned a lot. Take your time and enjoy. It was an experience like no other.

Love this place but a little disappointed since some things and areas were off limits and closed due to covid, which I understand. Will be back when all is open again. Wasnt too crowded and seemed clean and doing their part during covid.

If you’re either a Rock and Roll fan or an artist looking for fashion inspiration, this is the place for you. There are a lot of fascinating history tidbits as well, and a pretty impressive modern pop section. The place isn’t great for smaller kids, as it’s not very interactive, but for tweens and up its a great place to visit if you’re in the area.

Awesome staff that went above and beyond to help us! This place is huge and could easily be a few hour trip if you enjoy reading about everything on display. Very interesting building and huge gift shop. Definitely a go to destination if you’re traveling to Cleveland and have time to go

Really good place for adults or teenagers but I do not recommend this for small children. Food is not very good. Everything else is very nice.

Went here for the first time and totally enjoyed walking around looking at the displays. Parts were closed because of Covid 19, that given Ill be back when the insanity of Covid 19 is a thing of the past. The material to view and costumes and instruments on display are great to see . I would highly recommend this place to any one who enjoys music.

Went day before closing for a few weeks during covid restrictions on 11/22/20. Some of the exhibits were closed due to covid. Great place that could be greater if you all nominate/induct Ted Nugent!!! #TedNugent

Even with Covid-19, there is still so much to see its an amazing place to spend time in. I love the way every exhibit is set up ground floor to attic. Beautifully done.

Awesome! We REALLY enjoyed our visit. It was not crowded, and the museum is set up as a one way wall through to control the flow and distance groups. So much to see! Worth a visit!

Its worth the trip to Cleveland. We spent almost 6 hours there. We got to see everything.$28 general admission open 11am - 5pm everyday

Here for the EVH exhibit. Its just a handful of Eddies guitar and stage rig, but it was awesome. Hopefully the theatres will open up soon and they can have a tribute film.

Employees were helpful and guided u to what u were interested in specifically. However, I thought there might be more personalized areas. The Beatles and. Stones were greatly covered. There were a lot of instruments and displays. A lot of the videos and interactive areas were stilled closed foe corvid. That might have put it over the top.

We spent 3 1/2 hours here. The employees were so personable, helpful and friendly. The displays were extremely well done and it was so interesting to see the costumes worn by the artists and the instruments played. We will certainly be going back in future.

Rock Hall was a great stop in Cleveland. It’s located right on the waterfront downtown near the Browns Stadium. We parked on the street near by (free on weekends) and walked over. Most of the museum is open but some of the video rooms are closed. It took us about 2.5 hours to do the whole thing.

Had the absolute best time here with the family! Seeing groups that I partied to in my youth that my kids had no clue who they were! Music playing throughout. Just so much fun. Wish the gift shop prices were so high, but we still bought tons of stuff anyway!

This place was a blast. I visited back in 2017 and thoroughly enjoyed my experience as a rock music fanatic. It was so cool to see a ton of memorabilia, read about rock music facts and stats, and be surrounded by other rock music fans. Would highly recommend this place to anybody who is a fan of music!

It was great but a lot of exhibits were closed due to the covid

The experience was worth it. However, due to COVID, there was quite a bit closed off. The first floor alone took about an hour without stopping to read everything but still stopping to take pictures. The other floors were far less involved due to the closures. Im only posting photos of things I found interesting without posting too many and ruining the experience you should have in person.

All theaters closed because of the pandemic, but if you are a music lover, the museum oieces are worth the price of admission.

We spent 4 hours here looking and listening to music. This is a fun place to visit and hang out for the afternoon. First level is free to get food and drinks. The gift shop is also on the free level if you just want to check it out. Lots of guitars famous people and their stage costumes.

I absolutely loved this museum. I spent 5 hours there and it was not enough. I do plan on going there sometime again. There are items from every music era. I grew up in the 80’s but I knew so many items that were from the past. I spent 1 hour just in the pinball machine room. This was such an exciting museum for me.

Covid shut several areas down. Remaining is worth visiting for.

This review is coming from a dad who likes rock and a teen who likes country. There was lots of information and interesting artifacts. One exhibit I really enjoyed was the Elvis one, as well as rock through the ages. There was a big area dedicated to particular people and groups that was more about explaining their artifacts rather than the people. The progression was nice as it went in order. We spent a good 1.5 hours, and had had our fill after. They played music throughout the museum, but I wish they had showed more videos about each musician. It was kind of boring in that it was all reading, and not many interactive activities. Younger children would definitely have a hard time keeping up. The “one way traffic” plan was annoying in that people who wanted to read it all, and those who didn’t grew frustrated with one another. The facility was clean and staff were nice. The gift shop had a variety of items pertaining to the different eras. Overall, it was enjoyable with lots of information. If you like rock, it’ll be great.

Great place to learn about some of the great musical artists of all time. The exhibits transport you to another time and back to the present. I really enjoyed my time. I carved out 3 hours for myself, but you really need 4!

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was interesting, but I didnt completely understand its identity. There were traditional members of the rock and roll genre of music, but then also Michael Jackson, Bob Dylan, Elvis, and some rappers. As far as we could tell, the museum was missing country. While I dont really care personally who is included and who isnt, it just seemed like they were struggling to identify who got to be inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame. The memorabilia was neat, but again seemed to be missing a lot of stuff. The African American History museum in D.C. has a great rap section. This museum did not, if you can even call it a section. The Vans Warped Tour had an entire room, the rap section had a small wall. The Garage was a nice addition and my daughter had fun playing the instruments.

Have been multiple times over the last 5 yrs. 2 things, 1, additions are always fabulous and supports the constant evolving of the hall. 2, Everything you want from informative people, helpful staff (but not hovering) Military perks and consistent class act people who work there never changes and that is the bonus.

The Collections Of Items That are in the Hall are Overwhelming because there is so much to see...The Entire Staff Was Great & Very Informative

So many extremely awesome displays and information!! I never knew Sister Rosetta Tharp had been inducted. It was so wonderful to see all her work and achievements celebrated and discussed!!

Great place to explore the history of rock and roll. Unfortunately due to the covid-19 the theater exhibits were closed still worth the trip if youre nearby loved it!!!

You have to give a 5 star rating to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame! This was an amazing experience and something that I will remember for the rest of my life. So much history here so you have to move slowly through the Hall of Fame to take it all in...you can get so enveloped in the presentations that time just flies by. It is an amazing place and well worth the visit to Cleveland to take it in! I highly recommend if you love rock and roll and appreciate its history!

Nice place to visit and this riverfront area of Cleveland is worth a visit. The Rock Hall has exhibits that change so it is worth visiting regularly. We saw The Zombies induction performance on the outdoor stage and it was super fun. I like how they have the main exhibits separated chronologically and geographically. They also had a cool rock band pinball machine exhibit one time that we went and an exhibit all about Pink Floyd’s The Wall another time. Last time we went the changing exhibit area was about rock on television. Definitely worth a visit.

This place was Incredible! At the rock movie I had tears streaming down my face. Prince was amazing, what video/music experience! Coat check, pleasant staff, bravo!

The amount of memorabilia is astounding! The handwritten lyrics are so neat to read, seening how a few words written on a scrap of paper can turn into your favorite song. They have done an excellent job displaying all of the beautiful costumes, instruments, into areas by genre, era or song style. Everyone is going to find something on there that will trigger memories.

What a great experience!

To start, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is a must stop, great assembly of music history, great collection of authentic pieces from your music icons. The building itself is a marvel, Hal of inductees lined with all the names of music royalty. Gift shop does have some very nice items, albeit a little pricey, same goes for the food. Cleveland has some nice stops for eats, save your appetite for when you leave. If youre a rocker you have to visit, at the time of my visit the exhibition was The Rolling Stones.

Despite the COVID precautions, the experience was phenominal. The exhibit took about 4 hours to go through and we still didnt get to see quite everything. I do not reccomend this for children who get bored easily as there is quite a bit of reading to be done.I cannot wait to come back!

As a music lover ive always wanted to visit the hall of fame. Some years ago i got my chance. Coming from Ontario Canada, all i had to do is do the 6 hour drive around Lake Erie. The location is in downtown Cleveland so parking is a pain. Went into the hall and was blown away by all the things inside. From Elvis to RUN DMC to Nirvana. It was all here. I have to admit there was a lot to see as their are many levels but found the place too tight and the food and souvenir shop extremely expensive. All and all, im happy i went. And more happy that its in Cleveland and not New York City or Los Angeles. Cleveland really does rock!

It was truly amazing to see all the memorabilia collected. I loved reading all the history of different artists through the years. My favorite was Elvis Presley & the Beatles! My husband & I went here for our 31st wedding anniversary & it was awesome. Cant say enough good thing about it. Well worth the trip to see it.

A must see! loved this place and all the memorabilia. I must have spent 2 hours on the first floor! loved the Elvis exhibit! Everything so well put together and the staff very friendly. And dont miss the show where you experience for 20 mins the live performance. AMAZING! So much fun!

This place includes a large amount of the movers and shakers of Rock and Roll. When we went a while back, the Rolling Stones were highlighted with a superb display of this legendary band. A wide selection of displays but of note, I am disappointed that Gram Parsons has never been inducted. His band, the Byrds, are here but they didnt include him, meanwhile Emmy Lou Harris is in the Country Music Hall of Fame, who of course she was founded by Gram hes not been inducted there either. Also, my favorite band, the Marshall Tucker Band has never been inducted either. As for southern rock, the Allman Brothers and Lynryd Skynyrd have been inducted, but not MTB. Both were as instrumental in the history and development of rock, more so than many others already inducted. Just saying. Perhaps one day.

I am not a classic rock fanatic, but I am a musician and enthusiast, so I can appreciate the level of detail and care in their focus on certain groups. I particularly like the focus on early influences particularly in this time of turmoil. But I struggle though with the inclusion of some pop and rap groups unless I do not fully understand what it is the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is supposed to be nowadays. Is this a music hall of fame now? But then I walk through the inductees hall and see all the groups and wonder...why do I see little to nothing for the majority of these groups? It is 2020... Why do I not see more of stuff from the 90s or so little of even the 80s? Hendrix, the Stones, Beatles and Elvis seem to dominate with just a peppering of random artifacts. I mean, the display for the recent Nine Inch Nails induction is absolutely pathetic. I visited nearly twenty years ago, but I think it will be quite some time again before I visit.

Lots of cool costumes and guitars! Floors 1 & 2 had lots of stuff to look at and read! Floors 3,4, and 5 did not have much, there were some cool things that were closed because of covid :( Highly recommend if you are into music and find it interesting to read about the artists and bands. I went on a Friday and it wasnt very crowded but Ive heard that it can get packed.

Its the Rock HallGreatest collection of rock history in a wonderful setting & building shaped like a Record Player! And a great price too! Visit this place...well worth it! Dont forget the gift shop-awesome

Fun place to visit and learn about the history of rock and roll!!

Despite restrictions for the pandemic this is a worth while visit. All costumes instruments and sections are open with exception of the theatres. They keep light traffic and staggered ticket sales so we were able to see the entire building and maintain a social distance. All staff was nice and knowledgeable and Grace made our visit extra special.

Just a great experience. It was a lot of fun got there at 11 and left after 3. We will be back

Doing a good job with social distancing. There is so much to see and take in. For me a membership makes sense allowing me to spread it out with multiple visits. Oh...and the membership perks are pretty good too

The rock and roll hall of fame is a neat experience for a short history of popular music. The collection sure has changed over the years. There is a nice collection but there were some artists things greatly under served. I guess its up to the individual to donate items but it would be nice to see more of the greats featured, like KISS, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith...but there are only one piece here and there from each group. Im a huge music fan and while the place is neat, I always leave thinking to myself...That was it?

One of the more iconic landmarks in Cleveland, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is really a unique experience just like the pyramid structure that the museum is housed in. We visited during an event that rented the museum out and was able to walk through all 5 floors of exhibits, but forgot to pick up souvenirs at the end of the night. Fortunately, you dont need to purchase tickets to shop at the large gift shop area to the right of the entrance of the main museum. Even just getting a photo with the large Long Live Rock sign is worth the visit to this interesting museum.

It was great for what you can see. Unfortunately if you go now, alot of the exhibits and interaction things are closed due to COVID. All and all a great time. Crossed off a bucket list item.....YAHOO!!!!

Get ready to read nonstop! We went yesterday and everything was very clean and sanitized which was amazing but very confusing layout and when you purchase tickets you get a time slot and we went at noon and it was so packed it was hard to read everything. They need to control people better with 6 ft distance or not sell so many tickets! The displays are also kinda confusing and I think they could do a better job about that.We also almost left without seeing the other 3 floors of displays, no one directed us and I had to go out of my way to ask someone if there was more to look at

Great place for rock music fans! Lots of memorabilia related to the biggest rock stars. Fantastic music playing all the time (which makes it a dream workplace for any rock music fan). You can easily spend the whole day there with no chance of getting bored.

If you are a music buff this obviously is something to visit. The pricing is a little high but you do get to see things and read history that is amazing. The presentation through time is done right.

I loved a lot of the things we saw today. My kids (3 & 7) were so excited to go and they are huge KISS & Britney Spears fans. We thought we would see more of these two music legends. There was a Paul Stanley guitar but that was about it. The gift shop was way over priced and more boutique shopping than anything else. Most stuff was all Grateful Dead . I was just surprised to not see one Britney display. Lumineers, Ke$ha, SIA, Beyoncé....but no Britney?? C’mon, she is a staple in pop. Little disappointed but still had a wonderful time with the kids and had a great learning day for all of us.

We had a great time on June 29, 2020. I was very impressed with the amount of time and effort that was being put into keeping the entire place clean and sanitary. We went into one of the theaters and they were practicing social distancing. As soon as we walked out someone was coming in to clean and sanitize.The entire staff was very friendly. Thank you for making our experience awesome.

It was neat to see and I had never been before, but several elements of the Museum felt like a shameless cash grab. Overall we had a pleasant time seeing the exhibits, but the prices for souvenirs and food/drink were pretty steep. I dont know that Id go back very often (if at all).

The so called safety guidelines for Covid 19 were a joke. The place was packed and there was no way to social distance. Most of the hand sanitizer stations were empty. No staff was stationed to remind people to wear their masks correctly or direct the flow of traffic. There was also no clear path for traffic to follow even though that was stated before they let you in to the exhibition. We felt very unsafe. I’ve been to other cultural centers since the pandemic started that did a much better job of keeping things safe.

I was impressed the moment I stepped inside. I loved looking at all of the incredible momentous from music history. The layout of the building was creative and interactive. Constantly filled with voiceovers, music, informative videos and music videos. The gift shop had a huge selection!

The museum is good, but many popular groups are not represented (like Linkin Park) and there are no interactive exhibitions

Everytime we go back the exhibits are bigger and better, naturally. Things were a little different this year because of the pandemic but, it still is an Awesome experience.

It only cost 26 dollars to get in this wonderful museum... its really big so make sure you have on your walking shoes.. I will definitely be visiting again.

Here’s the deal - a year ago, this would have been five stars but we felt the need to bail out about 30 minutes into the tour simply because it was so crowded and social distancing wasn’t remotely possible. Other than that, it was a great tour (west we saw of it). While I’ll never agree with all the inductees (Whitney Houston????), there are some potential stars who probably will be inducted who get nothing. So if you’re expecting to see Robin Trower, George Thorogood, or Ted Nugent, they aren’t represented (yet).

A great tourist destination with a lot of history. Not only is the building gorgeous, but it is filled with thousands of musical artifacts and historic memorabilia. Much better than a boring museum though, as they also integrate several video and musical components. They do rock and roll right. A must see if youre in Cleveland.

We had so much fun!! It did start alittle bad because we couldnt get parking on the street and had to use the parking garage which cost $11.00.After that, we only had fun.It will cost local residents $21.00, while people just visiting will be charged $26.00.Trust us though, it was worth it.We will always remember our first visit to this wonderful place. We also would love to come back to see the new interactive exhibit coming Summer 2019.

It was pretty good on the inside but my rating is mostly for one of the workers there: Paul. Me and my family got there at 11 today and I unfortunately had a panic attack before entering and shortly threw up (this was after having my temperature checked, I of course did not and do not have the coronavirus). Before I even got sick Paul tried to make me feel better by talking to me about the lake nearby. After I got sick he asked me if I needed anything and gave me a bottle of water, and told me if we came at a certain time later in the day he’d let us back in and if we had problems to ask for him again for help. If any of the staff sees this review please show it to him, because I never got to thank him because he made me feel way better about the situation, he’s a very nice man and deserves a hefty raise. :)
