My friends wanted to go and, truthfully, my expectations were low. I love video games, especially retro ones, but this Arcade Legacy doesnt have as many as the location in the mall and Im not a big drinker so bar isnt enough to get me excited. I had a GREAT time! The atmosphere was fantastic, there were more games than I expected and the hot dog I had was very good! They had 8 to 10 pinball games, which is great, and even though you have to pay for them (most games are free if you buy food and/or drinks), they only cost 50 cents a play. Everyone there was very cool, and that means employees as well as customers. I cant wait to go back.
Absolutely my favorite place to go play pinball. Pinball machines are always clean and working really well. Owner changes up the lineup often and keeps me always wanting to come back. Good beer. Can’t wait to get back there now that things are opening up.
A much more relaxed atmosphere than some other similar bars. Feels like its a little more about the games than just having the arcade aesthetic and alcohol. The bartender, Dom is wonderful too. I dont really go to bars but i always feel welcome and comfortable here.
This place is a favorite of my family. The games are fun and free if you buy some of their delicious hot dogs or nachos. Sunday is family day. Kids arent usually allowed the rest of the week. Its also a great place for a smaller birthday party.
Edit: Friends had a terrible experience when they left the bar due to a bartender. I did give them a one star at first, we had also looked at previous reviews and we can see the majority of them are always perfect experiences and no one had complained about this happening to them. What we experienced seemed to be the only time it happened.I have gone to so many places (restaurant, stores, and even pharmacies) where customer complaints are rarely taken seriously and never apologized, so with that repeated pattern I didnt think the complaint was going to be taken as serious or as fast as it was:Fortunately the owner of the bar immediately contacted us back on Facebook and personally apologized, asked questions, listened to our concerns and feelings, and reassured us that they took care of the issue. His approach, understanding, speediness, and customer service definitely made up 100% for our poor service last night and I changed my review. The drinks were amazing, it was a nice place, and the owner takes complaints and worries very seriously and is genuinely a fantastic/nice person for doing so. Its great to know that as a customer youre cared for and taken seriously
Dom, Tom and Leo are super awesome! Definitely add to the fun atmosphere, they’re the best! Drinks are always made right and the food is made with love. Those 3 people make this place awesome!
Average arcade with bar in a rough neighborhood.I could not find parking. There are only a couple tables with uncomfortable chairs. I ordered food and it took longer than it should and when we got our order it was wrong the first time. They remade the nachos without tomatoes, so that was nice of them. they have video game branded mixed drinks and the game systems mostly worked. They had a console lounge in the back but they dont have a couch where me and my wife could sit next to each other. It was fun drinking and playing a few games but nothing special.
This place is great! The only thing stopping it from getting 5 stars is I personally think 16 bit has games that are kept up better. Some of the machine had buttons that didnt work. Other than that still a fun bar.
Amazing spot. Hot dogs, chili, and mac n cheese were all incredible, as well as inexpensive. Beers on tap were a mix of regional/local drafts and some more well known craft beers. Access to play a ton of arcade games and a large catalog of games across a variety of consoles including Nintendo 64, GameCube, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii amongst others. I recommend this place to anyone visiting Cincinatti in search of a great lunch/dinner experience with added fun.
After being banned ... myself still concurs the business is beautiful.
The bartenders are always perfect examples of costumer service. Ever server Ive met there has made me an outstanding drink. The ambiance is fun and chill and collects the greatest kind of people. The price is higher but worth every dime of what you pay. The games are fun and the door guy is extremely polite. Tip your bartender.
Staff is always so friendly and kind. This is a super chill bar to hang out at. It doesnt get busy till around 9 pm and the games are typically available to use.
Good drinks and excellent entertainment. Love the karaoke!
Great Experience! This is definitely the place to hang out and enjoy old school video games. Also a great and affordable choice to take your kids on a Sunday.
Great games, good for sober people to hang and play games. friendly staff. limited food options, but plenty of restaurants around
Super chill. Bigger selection of games than youd expect. Food is pretty good.
Great experience. Bartender makes excellent tequila sunrises. Buffalo Nachos were great. They have a huge selection of games crazy taxi is loads of fun. So is classic Mario and Pac-Man.
Great bar if youre into old school arcade games and pin ball. The drinks are reasonably priced and the arcade games are free as long as you buy something from the bar. Also the staff is really friendly. Good place to go for a cheap date or just for fun and retro vibes.
Upon arrival I was quickly noticed by a friendly member of staff who made us feel really welcome. The atmosphere of the bar was great and overall, the prices were great as well as all the video games available to be played. They have amazing drinks aswell. Will definitely go back soon.
Wow great selection of games, low key atmosphere. Not a great selection of non alcoholic beverages but over all had a great time
The only reason for the lack of 5 stars is the terrible parking options. There is a pay lot and it is not expensive but there just are not many spaces. Drink prices were great, game selection was awesome and very nice staff. My first time there and I was a very happy customer!
I really enjoyed the visit to arcade legacy bar. fantastic pinball machines and the staff was awesome. parking wasnt as tough to come by as I thought it might be. Id love to go back!
Great games, great food and decent drink selection! So much better than 16bit.
Great combo of dive bar and arcade. Very casual, very comfey.
Friendly atmosphere, good mixed drinks. Cheap City parking lot right across the street Oh, I like it!!
Newest pinball machines. Friendly folks. Highly recommend
Parking is hard to find but once inside its really cool. They have a nice drink selection and the food is good too. Would be awesome if they had a pinball machine to play while their tournament is happening.
Way better than 16 bit. The food is amazing as well. Try one of their fancy hot dogs. Trust me. Also they have specially sodas and energy drinks for the non drinkers like me, so dont feel like you have to down some booze to come here. The game selection is top notch. This is where the gamers go to game.
Great games nice chill environment super northside love it
So much fun! Love that Sundays are family friendly and all the arcade games are free
Fun atmosphere, decent drinks, they even have family nights and special events.
Service leaves a little to be desired but the game selection is great
Super fun place to go for something different on a Saturday night. The selection of games is great and it gets busy, but not overly crowded. The beer prices are reasonable. The nachos are DELICIOUS. The employees are friendly. Will definitely be back.
Awesome atmosphere and excellent customer service. The food and drinks are amazing!! One of my top spots to go to!
Any gamer old school or new will love this place food andliquor for sale but games are Free
Its all around a great place. two years in a row this has been my GFs pick for her bday drinking. the bartenders are awesome. They have the better game selection of barcades in the area. ps try their buffalo chicken nachos, or the soft pretzel with bier cheese. both above the standard bar food for taste and price
Great selection of pin, free arcade machines and emulators, events all the time, friendly staff, great food. Not a whole bunch of taps, but a wonderful selection of cans.
The atmosphere and the video games take you back to when you were a kid.
Looooove it!!! Good food! Good drinks! Nice vibe! Super diverse! And the games take you back to a childhood that is not to be forgotten.
Cool little place to play games ! Nice selection of pinball machines and the classic arcade games we grew up with. Reasonable beer prices. They serve food, but Ive never eaten there.
The women here can write on napkins backwards. 5 stars.
Great games and surprisingly good nachos.
Awesome mix of new and classic pinball games, delicious hot dogs and super friendly staff!
Great bar if youre into old school arcade games and pin ball. The drinks are reasonably priced and the arcade games are free as long as you buy something from the bar. Also the staff is really friendly. Good place to go for a cheap date or just for fun and retro vibes.
This place has it all. Great arcade layout/pinball selection, variety of beer/specialty cocktail choices and distinctive/creative bar food! It doesnt get any better as far this concept goes. Best Barcade in Cincinnati, hands down.
We went for the first time last night and was really impressed! My Hubby is the gamer but I ended up joining in several too! From the moment We walked in the door We were greeted by a Friendly Employee! The drinks were great and not watered down like a typical bar which is a plus! Mixed crowd and comfortable atmosphere. Love the how the restrooms are decorated too! We will def be back!
Its a cool spot but the customer service and the management is not so good. I gave them a 5 week notice that I was going to have a large group (50+). I was promised things... Apparently their policies changed between then and now and no one notified me. Now they refuse to honor what they promised. Unfortunately because of this I will no longer be bringing my business and the business of my group here.
Retro gaming. Love the atmosphere here. Buy one drink and unlimited game play. The crowd is mix from Street to retro folks. Staff is great food is good. Drinks is good. Has a smoking area in the the back.
Great spot, excellent diverse crowd, food fun and drinks
I love the place but the security sucks. My leather jacket was stolen out of my car while I was in the bar. Keep an eye on your things but have an amazing time
Its not a hard decision. Tom slings some of the best drinks in town, suggest a margarita cuz its like a Jimmy buffet concert in a glass combined with die antwood in a pipe. Litty and so much fun. Slay all day.
Had a blast! Loved Thomas and Thursday night Trivia!
Great place to hang out and play some games with your friends. Easy parking lot across the street.
Decent bar to go to if you want to play some arcade games with purchase of drink. Ive been here quite a few times over the years, and the drinks are on point. Always recommended for people wanting a full barcade experience.
Fun for all kids over 21..... I recomend it and Im not a video gamer.... Still had a great time every time. Pinball toooo... Hell yeah!
Really awesome barcade! I love their mixed drinks and cocktails, I highly recommend skeletor. The free killer queen nights are a ton of fun and it has a very cozy, relaxed atmosphere inside. I love to come here
Love this place. It has a great selection of beer and liquor, and then obviously a good amount of arcade games, pinball and also a couple of TVs with some old school Nintendo consoles in the back! They offer big gourmet hot dogs, but I cant couch for those because Ive never got them. Though its a bit small and if you go during peak hours there will be a crowd.
Been here mutiple times its a dive but the astomosphere is good and the prices are fair. definitely a Northside favorite!
This location isnt big enough for the amount of games they have, unfortunately. It was crowded after 20 people entered the building, which kind of a drop in the bucket for the tri-county location. The food was not anything to write home about...stale nacho chips, bland sandwiches and the like. The staff are great, but theyre working with less than stellar conditions in which they can have 30+ people standing in front of the bar and not be ABLE to serve everyone in a timely manner. Game wise, we ran into a whopping 5 that we wanted to play that were out of order, so we left. Pinball is the only thing you have to pay for and looked to be the only thing that didnt already have multiple people on it. Also, only one bathroom was usable and no one bothered filling the purell dispensers, so I dont even want to think about the grime on everything! I had to wait 5+ minutes just to wash my hands...really inexcusable to have a bathroom out of order when youre going to have many people coming in and out daily.
We went on a Sunday night so that we could take our kids. We loved it. What a fun place for a family night out. Food was decent.
Nice place with good food and a great selection of games to play. They have lots of great pinball machines and the owner is always getting new machines in and keeping the lineup fresh. They have pinball tournaments also. They also have a huge selection of old arcade games like Pac Man and Donkey Kong etc. Best nachos and pinball machines around and the employees that work there are really nice also.
This is one of my favorite places to go for drinks, a good bite to eat and some fun games. The bartenders are the best, and unlike some other bsrcades, are actually quite into the gamergeek culture. As long as this place stands, Ill be a regular.
I havent played pinball on such well-maintained machines in AGES!
Maintenance could be a little bit better of the systems. That said, prices for drinks are fair considering it allows you to play for free.Theyve come a long way since opening to improve their cocktails. The bartenders have gone their craft significantly. Top of the line artisan cocktails? No. Decently portioned and competently made for the price? Yes.Lastly, the hot dog selection is awesome. The Mac and cheese hot dog goes great with a buzz and playing some SNES emulation.
We had a birthday party here last night, and the place was awesome!! They had games from all different eras, plus stations setup for NES, SNES, and N64. Best of all? Most of the arcade games are absolutely free! The pinball games arent free, but from what I hear... those machines are incredibly pricey to have fixed, so that makes sense.Did I mention they have food? Unfortunately there was a wicked bad snow and ice storm that evening, which meant that the cook couldnt make it in... but literally everyone I talked to that had eaten there before raved about how good the food was. Now, some of the games were a bit quirky.. such as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade game where the Michelangelo joystick wouldnt function in the up direction, or one of four available N64 controllers had its joystick snapped off. Finally, they had the 10 person game called (I think) Killer Queens... which was phenomenal.I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great night out, who wants to get away from the traditional live band or microbrewery scenes. Relive old memories in single digit-bit glory while the friendly staff serve strong beverages to both you and your friendly co-op team mates, and diabolical nemeses!!!
Fun placeLike the family time they have weekly
Ive never had so much fun at a bar!! I absolutely loved it!
This is an interearing concept bar. The old arcade games are entertaining but the space is terribly crowded and loud.Bar service is good with a limited variety. The food is not very good and terribly overpriced even for a bar.Patio area is Nice and fairly large but not covered so when it rains everyone must go inside to the crowded arcade.2 stars was because of the lousy food.
Cool games and drink names! Slightly disappointed that we had to pay for the pinball machines, but overall had a great time here! Will be back soon!
Always enjoyed this place. Would like to see more options on their menu though. Bartenders were always nice, environment was great and laid back. Definitely like this place.
Amazing so much fun. killed hours on old school arcades. and then tested out a bunch of brand new pinball machines
I had limited time in cincinnati, and i spent most of it at arcade bars, which is time well spent. This place was fun, had a more alternative crowd but chill. Seemed like the flow from game to game was nice, not too many squatters. They have arcade and console games, most of the classics. Only complaint was a few active games that were clearly broken.
Cool place. Fun for a brief hangout. Loved the Deadpool pinball game.
Place was like a time machine. Very cool place to hang. I will definitely be back. Retro gaming at its best.
Perfect bar. Free games, as long as you buy something to eat or drink. Large outdoor patio. Cheap drinks. Fun place.
So much fun playing the old video games! They are free!
Staff, food, and drinks are all great. Theres a good variety of cabinets and emulators. Though, the emulators dont always work.
Great selection of games. I recommend the custom hot dogs they have. Eclectic non judegemntal crowd. Great place for anyone to have fun.
Went in once on Sunday & was told kitchen closed at 10 on Sunday came a different Sunday & was told kitchen closed at 8. Would be convenient if hours for kitchen would be posted as well as conditions for under 21 guests. Attempted to call to confirm this info before making the trip out and no one answered slightly disappointed.
Such a wonderful environment great customer service delicious drinks amazing food and a hell of a great time playing some great classic arcade games keep up the great work.
Nice and friendly staff. Nice amount of games. Good beer. Some of the games were janky, but when have you gone to an arcade and not have a game out of order.
Good beer, good games, pinball. What more could you need.
Not fancy but a lot of fun! Interesting beer selection, also! If you like Killer Queen they have one of those too.
This is the best barcade in the city. Smaller than 16 bit, however what it lacks in size it makes up in character. Usually not as crowded, so much easier to get to the bar, or play games. Pinball machines change somewhat regularly. Expect some machines to be broken, but thats part of the charm.
This is like the original location but better because there are no small children running around screaming/unattended. The drinks, cookies and hot dogs are fantastic. Jessie and his crew do an amazing job.
Really fun place to hang out or have a party. Hot dogs are delicious as well. Be sure to leave a good tip for the bartender. Shes amazing and works her butt off.
I see the draw of beer and video games, but this place is absolutely gross. The staff was nice. They had a large selection of games. I think my draft beer was flat.
Arcade games and beer. They rotate a pretty good selection of tap beers and have the usual bottle and can selection. They have awesome hot dogs. I recommend the antihero.
Really amazing place, way better then 16bit. You actually have room to breath here! Also, there is an amazing room with all the old school console games you heart desires. Bar tenders are amazing and everything is so chill.
Awesome they upped the prices but still a very very casual place and good staff. Doing the most they can for what little space they have. Very good/awesome Establishment. Always a goto whenever I feel the need to game and drink
Good place. Mostly younger people
Heres whats up1. Walk in buy food or adult drink2. Play trivia on Thursdays3. Play wind jammers because its the best game ever4. Drink or eat more5. Have the staff and smile and be great6. To home happy
