This place truly lifts ones heart and mind to God. Not sure what the art style is, but its noble and worthy of Gods house, unlike some art styles. Jesus in the blessed sacrament in the tabernacle is in a glorious side chapel where I was able to enjoy an hour with Jesus in quiet adoration. Please check this place out and enjoy Gods peace and presence as He whispers to you, you are my beloved... Thank you heavenly Father for this church!!

Was so big. old school church, dignitaries and very important people must go there for special services.

You don realize that this church is such a big from its outer appearance. I attended Sunday 11am mass. I liked the worship over here. Architecture of the Church is impressive. And the people are very sweet.

Beautiful cathedral. Mass has more complicated music that is difficult to sing along, but is beautiful to listen to. Obliviously, you attend for the sacrament of the Eucharist which is wonderful anywhere, but I try to go to the cathedral every year (or so). The trappings here are inspiring.

Beautiful doesnt begin to describe this church and the people within it! Pictures dont do it justice. The history of all of the pieces brought together to build it make it much more interesting as well! The people are some of the nicest, most giving people Ive ever met!

A truly beautiful cathedral that is close to post church activities like the market and different breweries. Plenty of parking pay lot are in the area as well as street parking.

This big church is the catholic cathedral of the archdiocese. The mosaic at the end is pretty interesting. I have been there for a choral concert, and the acoustics proved really bad, which is unsurprising for modern churches.

When the Cathedral Choir is there it sounds like youve walked into St. Peters in Rome. The music alone is surreal. Tennebrae on the Wednesday before Easter is incredibly moving and the Christmas vigil mass (on Christmas Eve) is a truly uplifting experience. The atmosphere is at once serene and majestic.

Classic example of Roman Revival Design. Beautiful Blessed Sacrament Chapel and new Pieta statue. Roman building is perfectly appropriate for St. Peter in Chains honorific cathedral.

I absolutely love being here. Its beautiful. If you get a chance come visit and see the Pieta statue, its breath taking!

This is one of my favorite places. The clergy, staff and congregation are so kind and hospitable. I truly feel a strong sense of Christ in this church. Also, the 11:00pm Mass on Sunday is something to experience.

It may look like a government building on the outside, but on the inside it is a beautiful mixture of architectural style, including Greek. The gold mosaic, the neo-Greek paintings, and the black marble chapel are exquisite.

If I didnt live 8 hours away, this would be my spiritual home! I am excited to attend mass during the next GHC.

Had Saturday Mass @4:30pm. Its very nice historical cathedral.

I have only been here for a tour for a paper I was writing. Even as an agnostic I have to say this place is beautiful. It is a large part of not just of local history but national as well. Even if you are not religious I recomend calling and asking for a look around.

My husband and I attended the 3pm Christmas Eve Mass here for the first time this past week. We were lucky enough to find a nearby parking spot, but its a good thing that my aunt got there early and saved seats because this place was absolutely packed!! There were seven of us in all and we werent able to sit together due to the crowd. There were added seats along the sides and Im pretty sure that every single one was taken.The mass was lovely the inside of the church was beautiful. Its very different from any Catholic church Ive visit - very Roman. Lots of red, black and gold leaf.

The tour of the Cathedral is lovely though I wonder what else there is for people to see. A map & pictures of the Monestaries & Convents that used to be Downtown along with the Parishes would be a good start. . .

Was attending the 11.30am weekday mass on August 16th . Had this shocking experience during the peace greeting when I extended my hand to the guy in front of me and he refused to shake my hand! Could this be happening in this day and age? Turned out he is a Eucharistic minister too. I decided not to go for the communion ! He may decide not to give me the wine! May God forgive us all. Will still attend mass there despite this sad experience. Beautiful church and am sure there are beautiful people there too.
