Logan Arcade is the best arcade bar in the city. They have a great selection of beer that changes frequently. Their pinball machines are always well maintained. The atmosphere is the best due to all the pinball backglasses on the wall and all the random collectibles behind the bar. Just an awesome feeling athletically.Everyone is always super friendly. Their happy hour is a really good deal if you’re a beer person. Check it out on a Wednesday with the happy hour for free pinball and some good beer to go with it.
If you’re a fan of an old school arcade then this is your place. They have a decent bar with a few taps and a cool bartender. The classic pinball machines are awesome. You can usually play for as little a fifty cents. There’s not much else going on here. So it’s a good diversion if your in the neighborhood.
Had an incredibly fun time here, some of the games are even free! The games are all fairly priced alongside the drinks. They had someone spinning vinyl the entire night I was there. They also had a ton of loose vinyls for sale. Some of them gems fairly priced. And some of them priced at just a dollar! A fun bar for anyone who likes a bit of pinball or Pacman!
Place is still closed, if they dont want us, I dont want them. They need to stay out of the political crusade theyre pushing and stick to video games, but they dont know how to do that, hence why theyre not open.
Being from just outside Ann Arbor, I fondly remember the pinball parlours of the 70s and 80s: Mickey Rats, Focus, and Pinball Petes. Having lived on the Northside since the 90s, I also remember the old Logan Hardware. So I greatly enjoyed two layers of nostalgia when I walked through the doors last month.
Good beer selection, quite a crowd, good place with a courteous staff but - why is the largest room dedicated to pinball machines, aside from the other rooms with pinball machines in them? Cmonnn. Better game variety wins five stars!
Best arcade bar in Chicago, hands down.
You have to really look for this wonderful neighborhood bar and pinball escape! But once you find it...Enjoy! The atmosphere is wonderful and the bartender is full of neighborhood knowledge and she told us of a great local Mexican restaurant that was out of this world!
Best bar in Chicago. Great atmosphere, great games, great staff, and good prices. Been going there for years and dont plan on stopping any time soon
They gave decent prices here on drinks and affordable game prices. I definitely liked going here. there was a good amount of space and a good selection of games. it was pretty retro in terms of the games, lots of pinball.
Excellent place for arcade and beer lovers!Wide selection of beer and liqour. The place hits you with its charm before even entering. It is full with probably many of your famous arcade games! Our favorite was the Pacman game which is played on a table like unit with up to four people. Also try Jurassic Park which is very dynamic, full of action and has cool gun feedback.Loved this place!
My spot to play some pool! Love the area. The drinks are good, the vibes are dope to.
This is the best arcade in Chicago in terms of game selection. Their selection of machines is top notch, with more rare pinball machines than anywhere else I’ve been to in the city. Their drink prices are also pretty reasonable. The only reason for 4 stars is that a lot of the games are pricey. Sometimes I don’t mind paying the premium to play ($0.75 or $1.00 a play) but if I’m going to spend a full night here, that can add up quickly. I’ll usually come here, play 5 games of specialty pinball that I can’t find anywhere else in Chicago, and then bar hop to another arcade with $0.25 or free games. If the games here were all $0.50 a play, I’d never go anywhere else.
Best beer selection! Solid Killer Queen group and Track and Field. Great selection that rotates to showcase some niche finds!
Dope spot! If youre out in the area and youre looking for something to do with friends with good drinks involved, go here. If youre a pinball maniac, go here!
They have the best and most functional selection of pinball machines. Way better than the other one around the corner. Sometimes people stand inbetween the pinball machines and bump my finger. Please stop doing that.
Love the arcade! Not common these days since its mostly computer games now. Definitely worth the travel!
Fun place, with a wide array of games (focus is on games). Not to big or a bar selection. Definitely had some nastalgic moments. If you are looking to play games from childhood and have an adult beverage... Than this is a good place. If you want an expansive bar menu with games and a bit more of a hyped vibe.... I would check out the Beer arcade.
I come here to play one pinball machine and I refuse to disclose it in case it becomes someone elses favorite. I tend to spend $15-20 when I come here, but its a super chill environment, cool people, good games. My go-to spot with my partner.
Love the arcade games and beer is good too! The most fun bar u can be at
I love arcade bars and this is one of my favorites. The games here are all in excellent condition and theres a huge variety to play. Im partial to pinball and they have a ton to choose from. If I lived in Chicago Id make this a regular hangout for sure.
Fun place good beer lots of vintage video games and some new ones too
Great drink selection and who doesnt love old arcade games!
Killer Queen game is here! So much fun with a group of friends! And 4 player Pacman is awesome!
Expensive game play in an old musty and dusty location. I would not visit again. Too many better options for arcade bars.
Great collection of games... video, pinball, etc. It was a nostalgic adventure for me. There must have been over 10 games there that I havent seen/played since I was a kid.
I love this bar.Draft list is solid, could use some more IPAs, but they have a huge selection of drafts and cans. Never had a cocktail, but its a thing people do, so yeah go for it I guess. But the drinks are not the reason to come here. Its pinball. They have all the latest tables, and usually the exclusive fancy versions of them too. They also have tons (possibly literally) of classic machines too.Pinball is not free here. Dont cry, get your change out. Most games are 75c to 100c depending, but theyre is a reason. They have the best, most, and in best condition machines. Im not hating on the token place or the free pinball bars, but those are bars first pinball second. This place caters to true pinheads. They also have a bunch of other coo games like the Japanese table flip game, giant Jurassic Park on rails shooting game, and some sit down fighter cabinets. Also, KILLER QUEEN! If you dont know, then Google it on your way over and bring your friends for some of the best 5v5 platforming battle games ever. They have pinball and killer queen leagues, open to all skills.
I love this arcade! Great games and a great atmosphere.
Great for pinball lovers, and has a fun 10 player group game, Killer Queen.
This was a great place with a great atmosphere. You kinda feel like you belong. Its casual and comfortable. I go with a pocket full of change so i can play arcade games. One can have a fun time and not break the bank. Its a bar, so what more can i say. THEY SERVE ALCOHOL. AND you can bring in your OWN food. You can customize your experience there. Its a must try, if you ask me. So... try it. Youll love it. I know youll go again and again.
What can I say, I used to go to The Hideout to hear DJ Tainted Love spin and now she is at an arcade, its the best.
If you are a pinball freak, this is the place for you. plenty of vintage games plus many newer games. had a wonderful time there. Spent four hours there, drinking with my wife and our bar tab was less than 60 dollars. They dont serve food there, but encourage ordering from local places. Every time we have been there, there has been a guy that comes in with a couple of coolers full of tamales which are absolutely wonderful. The staff knows a great deal about pinball machines and two of the times we were there, Stern pinball had employees in Logan Arcade just hanging out. They were friendly and more than willing to talk about trends in pinball and robotics. This is a place for serious pinball players and for new players (who are always treated well and both the employees and patrons are willing to talk about pinball)
Made some friends had some times. Killer queen is awesome.
My favorite barcade, game selection is fantastic. They have a great mix of older classics and newer games and their pinball selection is the best around. Everything is pretty well maintained and the bouncers are always cool.
Lots of old-school video games. Good bar. Animatronic Misfits cover band rules.
Its a lot of arcade games. I wanted a girlie drink, but didnt like the selection
Such a fun and unique place to hangout. Great drink deals and you can bring your own food! Fun night out
Great bar, better arcade. Weekly events, twitch channel all sorts of vintage arcade cabs. This places oozes aesthetic, if you are a gamer of any age, you will feel right at home.
Amazing Arcade Bar, good option if you dont want to feel the crowd mood of emporium, good selection of beers and affordable prices.
This place is exactly where you want to be. Amazing collection of vintage, indie, and sorry rare one off video games. Also their pinball collection is top notch, one of the few places to play limited edition of all the best machines.Staff are really nice, embrace the geek culture of the place, and know their beers/drinks.The crowd is definitely hip, but not in a bad way. There are definitely people there who take their pinball very seriously, but they are tempered by a lot of people who just want to have a few drinks and play some games.
Unique, fun place with good drinks. Some of the pinball machines werent working and ate our quarters but the staff was great a about refunding us if that happened.
A great selection of arcade cabinets and even some unique games like Killer Quenn make this my favorite bar in Chicago
So I have a new favorite are arcade game, killer queen. You WILL spend all your money on this machine so be prepared. A fast paced highly competitive team based game, you will get hours of excitement and fun from this game. Otherwise the environment of the bar is very welcoming the staff is kind. They also decorate for the seasons so thats nice as well.
Such a fun night out! They have a ton of arcade games, good drinks and overall a wonderful place. You can bring in your own food and drink too which is a great option. Hopefully one day they can add a pop a shot and more Mario kart games! Looking forward to visiting again soon
Sweet arcade, love that they have Killer Queen
Friendly bartenders, sustainable practices, purposefully vegan bar, this place rules even if you don’t care about video games (I don’t).
Fun place to play video games and classic pinball
This place is great! Some of the best bartenders and staff in town.
Best staff, beer selection, and most importantly best selection of well maintained games
Went on a Saturday and it was packed which is understandable. But the place reeked.. the bar is pretty small too. There were groups of people standing around. So I think this place would benefit from a couple tables. The arcade games were fun but that wasn’t the main reason I went.
Pinball! Vintage Arcade/Video games. And not vintage Arcade games. This place is great. Weeknights movies, DJ, etc. Great establishment, that gives you reasons to go out outside of Friday night.
Best arcade in the world! IMHO
Pinball heaven! 31 pinball machines with a lot of new and well-maintained games. Friendly people both staff and customers. Very reasonable drink prices.
Awesome pinball! Great atmosphere
This is my second favorite bar of all time, and thats coming from someone with a lot of lived experience. When I quit drinking, this spot was my go-to. Id see a movie then post-up at Logan Arcade afterward for some video games. They have a bunch of good NA options and if youre looking to drink, one of the most affordable and diverse beer selections in the neighborhood.
Best pinball in the city. Well maintained, good variety. Thru have an in house mechanic, which means the tables are always in good working order. Also, good beer selection. A++++++++
Cool spot with alot of old school arcade games and an interesting japanese one that you cant miss. Places like this helps me remember when Im stuck in traffic why I love Chicago
Amazing cheap drinks and friendly bartenders and staffs. Cheap quarter machines with memorable NES games and some newer ones as well
Came by with some friends on a monday night. It was perfect because only a few people was there. No wait on games. Most games cost 1 quarter but some cost 2 for newer ones. Pinball cost 3. The craft beer i got was good. This place had a bunch of different games, with some i never saw before. The only line was for a game called queen bee. Most games were working as well as the buttons and all. Parking was kind of a trouble but we found something close. We had alot of fun before we went out to eat. Would come back if i wasnt close to headquarters.
No question about it! But this place is the best!
Best barcade Ive ever been too
Pinball selection is great. I would like more standup arcades though. Would also rather see a flat fee for all you can play. When I go to an arcade I am there for hours and want to play everything without having to worry about getting change
Great games and even better drinks
Fantastic great fun. And try the portarican resteront at the side best food in chicargo
This is the best and most varied of the arcade bars in the city. Tons of new and vintage pinball along with new favorites like Killer Queen, and an awesome table flipping game! Very good beer selection and a full bar. You play using quarters and they have machine for you to change dollars. They even have leagues you can sign up for!
Coziest place to hang with friends ️
The Logan Arcade has reasonably priced drinks and a wide array of arcade games. From Twilight Zone to Game of Thrones the pinball machines run the gamut of contemporary and classic properties. A word of warning, the machines have prices on them but the machines dont always follow them. Theres also a selection of classic arcade games from PacMan to Street Fighter to modern offerings like the Walking Dead. Tons of fun. Just remember to bring a stack of quarters or dollar bills. The change machines can accept bills up to $20.
Cant go wrong with video games (old and new), booze, and an animatronic metal band all in one place!
Thai place was great!! Bartenders were funny and attentive. I love the diversity, I recommend this place as a bar for all.
A fun nostolgic place with rotating games and an assortment of refreshing drinks
Who doesnt want to have drinks while playing arcade games? Great concept, some awesome retro games, and large beer list. Bartenders can be a bit inattentive at times so it can take a while for a drink even if there arent that many people there but overall great place.
Best arcade bar in Chicago, and thats saying a lot.
Great beer and game selection. Ive spent far too much money on the walking dead game here.Bonus: If a machine eats your quarter they just hand you a bunch of quarters.
Cool games! drinks were not the best. love the candles and atmosphere is awesome.
Sweet retro spot filled with video games and pinball machines. They have the guts and faces of old machines as decor.
One of my favorite watering holes in the city. Affordable drinks, eclectic crowd, themed nights and a neighborhood feel. Games are plentiful and rotating. A must for locals and tourists.
Its a great arcade bar. They upped their game in 2017 by getting some new, great games. This bar is one of the few locations in Chicago to have a Killer Queen machine. Good luck getting to play it on the weekends because this place gets pretty busy.
Okay but no DigDug. Unfortunate
Good time. Just wish they had a pool table or beer pong lmao. Either way will be back!!
Nice place. Not too cramped, like some barcades. Really great selection of arcade games and pinball tables!
Great arcade with tons of pinball machines and arcade games. Plenty of beer options on tap and some really nice multiplayer games. A must see if you enjoy pinball and youre in the Chicago area.
Insane pinball collection, great beers.
Well maintained machines. A bunch of then are free to play on Wednesdays.
Not a bad place overall. My biggest gripe about this place is that it has no kitchen. For the most part this place has a lot of ping ball machines. The games are not free.
