Okyne was recommended to us by our wedding venue, and it was a great recommendation. They were very easy to work with, and super flexible with any changes we had to make to our plans. That was especially helpful with all of the changes happening related to Covid. While our event changed, having Okyne as our DJ made it just as special and fun as our original plans. They have an online tool that allows you to select your favorite music, enter your event timeline, and inform of them of any special requests. You have an in person/video call about a week before the event to finalize everything and that was very helpful in making sure we had the exact experience we wanted. I would highly recommend Okyne for your event music needs, no matter how large, or small, it is.

We had the BEST day. Thank you so much to the entire Okyne team, and especially DJ Alan, for making our day so incredible. DJ Alan did an amazing job and kept the dance floor full and fun all night long! Im so happy with how everything turned out, the songs were amazing, he did a great job announcing the special dances, cake cutting, photo ops, etc. I couldnt be happier. The online system was so easy for my husband and I to fill out with songs we loved/liked/disliked and DJ Alan did the best job incorporating all of this into his set. I also wanted to thank Okyne for helping me find my dance song with my Dad! We always have loved the song Sweet Child of Mine but Guns & Roses isnt exactly a great slow dance song... Alan from Okyne researched and found the perfect slow version & it made for the perfect Dad/Daughter dance. I absolutely recommend Okyne to all my friends who are in the wedding planning process & to all of you!

Hired Okyne for our wedding. They had really easy to use planning tools and held all pre-wedding planning meetings over Zoom rather than asking us to come into out office. Plus they were extremely flexible with our schedules (held one meeting at 8 PM - thanks fo that Okyne!). DJ was great too - he was really responsive to guest requests while also sticking to our music plan for the evening. Extremely professional company - highly recommend.

These guys were organized, professional and get our wedding dance floor just as full as we wanted! The reason were giving them 4 instead of 5 stars are they promised a DJ that had worked Greek weddings before and was familiar with the music so we wouldnt have to be as directive on the day, but the one we had was not familiar with the music. He followed direction amazingly well, but it was more work than my husband and I expected and wanted to do that day.

I just had Okyne DJ for my wedding and the guests could not get off the dance floor because the DJ was so good! Kristian did an AMAZING job mixing the music and keeping the floor full! Al and Stacy were great to work with and definitely matched us up with a DJ who fit our style! I was so happy to find this company, they are one of the reasons why our wedding is unforgettable not only to us, but to our guests! Thank you guys!

We were very overwhelmed when we started looking for a wedding DJ until a friend referred us to Okyne media! They were very easy to work with and I loved their online planning portal! It was easy to use and a nice way to make sure everything was buttoned up for the big day. We had DJ Martin who was amazing! Our guests had an awesome time and we received a ton of compliments. We wanted to incorporate a mix of music including some Polish songs and he did a great job. Everyone had a great time and the dance floor was packed! Would definitely recommend Okyne Media Lab!

This was the only wedding vendor we had an issue with out of the 8 vendors we had contracted. My husband and I found and booked Okyne Medialab because we wanted a DJ that had many great reviews (check) and that had DJed numerous times at our wedding venue City View Loft (check). Our DJ, DJ Gordon, showed up the day of the wedding and played music -- wonderful. The problem is, to be a great wedding vendor, you need to partner with your client, be able to communicate effectively, ask questions if something is unclear, deal with ambiguity, and solve problems. Unfortunately, this is a one-size-fits-all DJ company.Our BIGGEST issues:1. Readings & Toasts: These are some of the MOST IMPORTANT moments during the wedding day, and it would be ideal if the bride, groom and guests could actually hear them. During the ceremony, the wireless microphone functionality went in and out during the readings. This was at 6:15PM. At this point, DJ Gordon should have called to have a backup mic for the toasts that were going to happen around 8:00PM. The problem was not fixed, and the microphone continued to go in and out again during the first two toasts. The last two toasts opted out of the microphone completely, as it was not working at all at that point.2. Lighting: We had paid for 2 sets of up lights (12 total). The Wednesday before the wedding (which is the ONLY time I ever actually talked to our DJ prior to the wedding), I told DJ Gordon we added a second pack of lights so that each of the 12 BRICK pillars in the room would have a light on them. This was referring to the brick pillars between the windows, since of course, there were 12 of them. The day of, the lights were set up on the 4 metal pillars on the dance floor, and then randomly scattered around the room. The point isn’t that this ruined our day, but this could have been 100% avoided if we had met in person before the wedding, and since it wasn’t a task that was completed, we shouldn’t pay $400 for it.Okyne Medialab – at the end of the day, YOU ARE THE PROFESSIONALS, AND THIS IS WHY WE ARE PAYING YOU. The lighting should have been an easy win and a backup plan with the wireless mics should have been in place (wired mic?).In the end we tried to work out some sort of refund but how Al handled this feedback frustrated us even further. At the end of the day we felt this review was more important than any refund. This is our only vendor that I would absolutely NEVER recommend. Do not waste your time even talking to this company.

We hired Okyne Medialab for our wedding in Aug. They did an amazing job. They kept the dance floor packed all night long! Awesome staff to work with and a great company. We would hire them again for another event.

We booked with Okyne Medialab for our wedding in October and they did a fantastic job. They were easy to work with and very interested in capturing all of the details to make sure everything was executed properly. The DJ we were supposed to have got sick on our wedding day and they substituted another one of their DJs (Dan) and he nailed it. Never once did we get concerned because everything was handled in such a professional manner. We would highly recommend Okyne Medialab.

Working with Al and Stacey at Okyne Medialab was one of the best choices we made with our wedding planning. My husband and I live in Houston TX but we planned our December 2013 wedding in Chicago IL. Al and Stacey were extremely prompt when responding to emails. They are detail oriented yet laid back, which makes for an awesome combination! We skyped with Al a few times within the upcoming months of our day to take care of logistics. I emailed Al and Stacey specific playlists on my own excel spreadsheets because we were very particular about having instrumental versions of our favorite songs. I also emailed them with timelines, contact information, and way too many other things! Al was so nice and did not seem to mind my over kill approach. (THANK YOU!) We also filled out their online song list which helped in the planning & DJ Alan rocked it till 1 am, no questions asked. Future brides&grooms- do not hesitate to book with Okyne Medialab!!!!!
